As he fell into the water, he closed his eyes and braced for the impact. He felt the wind on his face as he dropped. But it never came. He opened his eyes and found himself in a portal. He could tell from the warp-like flow of blue around him. He heard a voice call out to him. "Synthwalker... It's not the end... There is a chance..." The voice spoke. "Set Kinzie and the realm free... Call Lapse and look to a forgotten future..." The voice finished, and Matt saw the portal was getting brighter. He closed his eyes as he had an eye problem when it comes to bright lights. When he opened them up again, he was on the ground. He looked up and saw a familiar sight. The Shaded Realm stood in front of him in its multi-colored neon glory. He stepped backwards a bit, as he never expected to be returned here. He looked around and saw everyone really was shaded again. He carefully stepped forward, making sure he wasn't seen. However, a soldier noticed him, and when Matt turned to them, they stopped in place. Their jaw dropped, and suddenly, their shades fell off. From their point of view, two bright blue lights flashed at them. Their eyes were opened to the truth that Lux was evil. They ran to Matt, who seemed confused about the ordeal. "Synthwalker! You've returned! I need to get out of here!" He ran past Matt, and off in the distance. Matt simply looked at his hands, amazed at his newfound power. With it, he clenched his fists, stomped his feet, and looked upward at the Citadel, seeking to reclaim his throne.

Meanwhile, an alarm was raised in the mainland. Someone had detected Matt's return, and it was the Shaded Sisters. They looked at each other in shock and ran to tell the Queen and Lux. They dashed straight into the throne room where they found Kinzie on the throne, but not Lux. "What is it?" Kinzie said as she looked at them. "He's back." They said in unison. Kinzie's eyes widened. "Show me!" She got off the throne and ran with them to the surveillance room. Sure enough, Matt was right there, on the displays. "Tell Lux about this. He's here to finish this." They nodded and ran to Lux's quarters, where she was practicing her beats. "Yeah?" She raised an eyebrow as she looked at them. The Sisters looked at each other before speaking in unison again. "Matt's back. Here's here to finish the whole thing." They said worriedly. Lux's expression disappeared and was replaced with a stern look. "Get me my outfit. If he really wants to finish this, I'll have to give him the hardest fight of his life. He isn't just gonna escape this time..." Her words echoed through the halls, despite her being in her room. Looks like the Duel of the DJs is happening again soon...
