31: Shit going down
I need someone with secrets
That nobody knows
-Gansgta, Kehlani
The clan club at shinsa dong almost reflected the one in Gaphae where I worked. The same one-storied building in black, wooden placard with the club's name written in green neon light that illuminated a part of the street, but everything else too dark and too lonely for it to be a Christmas night.
The one in Gaphae was reeking with heavy sweat and wine, the ground trembling with the loud music and people dancing on it. It was a holiday after all.
Yet the eerie feeling I was getting here while standing outside by the car was making me shudder and I knew it just wasn't for the cold wind whipping me around.
"I wonder what's going inside," Changkyun, the only one who was left with me outside, said for being younger just like I was. He hugged his black trench coat as he exhaled to his high collars letting out a puff of a wintery cloud.
Biting the insides of my cheeks I shifted from my left leg to right. Something bad definitely was going on, there was a feeling that was wrenching my guts and making my palms sweat even in the glacial night of winter.
"Maybe...," I stammered, hesitating, "Maybe we should go inside."
The snow was falling softly on our skin, making the cells on my face going numb. Changkyun sniffed to himself and then rubbed his nose with the back of his gloved hand. "Maybe we should?"
There was an uncertainty in his voice, probably he did not want to get in trouble after Kihyun lectured him to stay.
A thought nipped at my brain, if Changkyun was really staying to just watch me.
"We should," I said with certainty. The thugs that had entered the club were said to have scare everyone, making people run out of the place. This was definitely not a kid's play but I just could not stand outside sucking on my thumb.
"I don't think we should go empty-handed," Changkyun let out a sigh, his breath turning into white fog. Snowflakes falling on his black hair and disappearing right after. "I might have something in the back of the car."
"Yeah, but Wonho took it." All I knew was there was a baseball bat, THAT renown baseball bat which the bubblegum head took before he left.
But when Changkyun opened the trunk a loud gasp left my mouth, a revolver- a damn revolver laid helplessly there.
"What...!" Close to no words could come out of my mouth as I stared at him incredulously. The gothic boy only held the firearm up with his black-gloved hand, wrapping his fingers around the grip and putting one on the trigger, the tip facing the sky.
A lopsided smirk slowly crept up to his face, turning into a feline grin soon. "Do you think this is real?"
My jaw almost fell on the gravel. He almost resembled a Cheshire cat with that grin as he shook the pistol. "This baby is fake but it does not matter, does it? Looks pretty much real to me."
"Why even!" I followed him as he whipped around and proceeded towards the entrance of the building, but not before he had made a gesture with the back of his coat as if it was a cape.
"Why do you think? You should know better since you were there." He turned to me only for a second. A crease appeared on my brows as I couldn't get what he was talking about.
Changkyun stood before the main door with an 'x' curved on it. Taking careful steps like a cat, right before kicking on it he whispered, "Obviously to scare Taehyung for what he did back then."
The paintball incident, finally I could understand.
Why he was still thinking of revenge when it had been months was a question on itself but there was no time to think as my eyes fell on the surrounding, the inside looking way bigger than the outside.
Chairs and tables were strewn across unkemptly, the bar empty and shards of glass lying on the black tiled floor here and there. It was all too quiet, yet brighter than the one in Gaphae, incandescent lights creating colorful spots in some places.
Practically no one was there, bartenders, security guards, or waiters. Save for the people that stood in the middle. Changkyun froze up and I bumped onto his back.
Then my eyes fell on what he was staring at with that aghast look on his face.
Shownu, standing in the middle of the crowd of suited guys who were mainly young, except for the middle-aged bald man that had his hand gripping the collar of Shownu's shirt.
Things happened in mere seconds, the tall guy with the cut on his cheek whom we knew as Ryujoon, Shownu's right-hand man and the bodyguard back from the club in Gaphae held his arm up, punching the bald man so harshly that he almost got knocked out on the floor.
I could see all of them, the ten to fifteen males in black suits, and our own seven boys staring at the scene unfolding with dumbstruck looks on their faces.
The man that lied on the floor held his nose in shock, then screaming in horror seeing blood paint his palms.
His nose was practically a bloody fountain by then. "Attack them!" the man could only command and a second later all hell broke loose.
Before I knew it I was seeing the suited males ransacking the whole place as if they hadn't already, but this time the boys were included. Petrified I saw and heard the sounds of kicking, punching, and breaking.
The ground beneath me shook with the raging storm but Changkyun only sighed next to me. "That's what you call-," he rotated his head to the side to meet me, "The real gangsters."
I was too stunned to follow whatever the mess that was going on. Again Changkyun's voice shook the soulless me. "Who should we help first?"
It seemed like they had not seen Changkyun and I standing there by the entrance. A lump was forming in my throat, constricting the path of air. Tangled up thoughts quickly streamed through my brain as I searched with my eyes to see if the boys were alright.
The first person I saw was Shownu, two bulky men just about his size grabbing him by his both hands and trying to drag him to a further corner until he swished his hand forward making the guy on his left fall on his back, not before he had ripped off the white sleeve of Shownu's shirt.
Kim Ryujoon quickly appeared in my view, dashing right across Shownu and holding the other man down until they both fell.
Shownu seemed like he was alright there. Oher than sweating harshly there was not any sign of even the slightest discomfort on his face.
In the mess of the people running and breaking things a high screech erupted, it did not find me a second to find Wonho swinging his bat back and forth in the empty air with his eyes closed. Three other guys jumping around him to avoid getting hit.
"You moron!" Minhyuk pulled Wonho by his shoulder making him return to earth. The next thing the burgundy did was snatch away the baseball bat from Wonho's hands.
"What did you make that muscly body for?" Minhyuk grumbled before lunging forward and swinging the metal to one of those three male's thighs, the guy shouting in pain next and falling on the floor to his knees.
And then he put the bat against the back of his neck as he stared at Wonho coldly. "Didn't you learn taekwondo? Make use of that," right after finishing his sentence Minhyuk had again plummeted in the middle of some of those thugs ganging up to Jooheon in a corner who was mimicking Kung fu moves and throwing punches in the empty space by himself.
Wonho was left alone now, just when I thought I would go to him I saw him picking up a table made of steel for four by his own hands and charging with it, chasing the two men that ran for their lives.
"He seems like he is fine for now," Changkyun had a hand on his chin as he stood observing, his eyes circling around just where mine followed. "Minhyuk and Jooheon hyung too."
The gnawing feeling in my stomach was getting prominent as if claws were ripping out my insides. And the agonizing pain grew when my eyes searched frantically for Kihyun but could not find him anywhere in the small crowd.
"K-Kihyun," I could barely voice out, the sweets we had before threatening to come out.
Changkyun let out a small huff of breath. "You don't need to worry about him," and then he pointed at a dark space that was not much far from us.
One of the tallest of the gangsters stood blocking my view, so broad that I wondered if his head would touch the hanging lights of the short ceiling.
And then the man crumbled down like a matchstick after it had done its job lighting a fire, Kihyun who was almost two heads shorter than the guy came in view with one of his feet still raised in a high kick.
"Great job!" Changkyun cheered clapping his hands together making the other boy notice us, his expression getting clouded the next second.
"What are you two doing here!" he had started to run towards us but another man blocked him with a jab in the air and I saw him dodge it quickly.
"Okay, Hyungwon definitely needs help," Changkyun's deep voice made me follow to see the lanky boy standing a few feet away.
Hyongwon was choking.
He was fighting for air with his bony arms limp by his side, a midget sized man laughing maniacally as he had his hands gripping around Hyungwon's slender neck in a circle, pushing him further and further.
Like a broken doll Hyungwon let go of his body when the man's grip loosened.
Nothing worked on my mind when I screamed and found Changkyun doing the same with me, us running toward the duo and Changkyun jumping on the short guy like a monkey, whimpering nonstop as he clawed on his head and started to rip out the male's hairline that was already almost nonexistent.
And I was next to Hyungwon's lifeless body, crouching down next to him and shaking him nonstop. My vision had started to get foggy and everything else molded into a blur, every sound surrounding me nothing but white noise.
"Please, Hyungwon! Oh my god!" I cried and continued to shake his fragile body by his shoulders with all my might.
Just then he fluttered his eyes open.
His doe eyes inspecting mine before he sat uptightly and looked around. "I was playing dead so he'd let go of me," he mumbled looking dazed ahead.
I was this close to bursting out, either enveloping him in a hug because I was almost sure something had happened to him or punch his head for making me lose it as well.
While I was pondering on what to do and Changkyun was done defeating the short guy who had run back to his flock, I saw another of them approaching us with a metal rod in his hand.
My eyes quickly darted on the fake revolver of Changkyun that was lying close to me on the floor. "Don't you dare!" I ducked my body forward and my fingertips touched the cold material, quickly I retrieved it and held it towards the man.
He dropped his metal rod on the floor, a loud clanking sound that silenced the other suited ones that were clustered about close by.
"She's got a gun!" One of them yelled and slowly everyone, everything stopped. A pin dropped silence in the club.
All the intense eyes were on me and mine darted around to Shownu with his ripped sleeves, Wonho with a stool on his hand, Minhyuk with the bat, Jooehon holding up a punch in the air and Kihyun pulling one male by his collar. Everyone was stilled.
"Y-yeah," I managed to get on my feet as I spoke loudly, my voice wavering and my hands clasped around the revolver trembling a little. "It's a licensed gun!"
While I shouted I could feel the tremor in me, trying to gather all my confidence I pointed the firearm towards the man in the middle that I thought would be their boss, the middle-aged man with his nose still bleeding.
"You," I said with all the strength I could measure up. All of them staring at me like a bunch of hawks. "Get all your men out of here."
I only waited for a moment until someone would notice the gun was fake and everything would transition into the madness like before.
Surprisingly the bald and aged man made a motion jerking his head as he held a tissue up his nose. He was the one to leave first, not before he had shoot Shownu a glare, the rest of his gang followed.
The hell went quiet, only the boys stayed still on their feet.
Jooheon decided to speak first, breaking the thick silence with his loud tone. "Isn't that gun fake!"
A loud thudding sound followed next, paired with a groan from Changkyun from my back. When I looked behind I saw Hyungwon sprawled across the floor again, his eyes tightly shut.
As I could not guess if it was a part of his act too or not and only stood there, I found six other boys catching up to me and doing the same.
"He just needs fresh air," Shownu piped in, his voice low and exhaustion clear on his tone.
"Should we give him CPR or-" Jooheon trailed off when he found us staring at him blankly. "Or not," he looked down to Hyungwon's flaccid body and shrugged.

A/n: I think I've written a fight scene for the first time in my life and it's full of crack.
My next fanfiction is a wonho fanfic! I've been planning it for MONTHS cause I promised myself I'll write the best wonho fanfic in wattpad if he ever came back to the industry.
Obviously monsta x members will be in it too. Especially one member will play a very important role. Can you guess who it might be? *eye emoji*
