You flew up into the air, watching Jogo launch into the lake with a large splash.
"Oh, this is perfect," Satoru said, appearing at your side. Then he went away as quickly as he came.
"... wut." You blinked. Deciding not to wait for him, you flew over towards the lake and slowly descended down, standing on top of the surface. Jogo slowly sat up, having spotted you.
"You..." He called out. "What are you?" You toyed with the bangle on your wrist.
"Annoyed."
"Sorry about that." Satoru reappeared, floating behind Jogo. In his arm was a clueless Itadori. Your brow twitched. For god's sake.
"Where the heck--?! Hey, where are we?!" Itadori squirmed.
"Were you waiting?" Satoru asked.
"You left to go get him?" You deadpanned.
"Yeah. I told you, this place is perfect." He looked over to Jogo. "This is Itadori Yuji-kun, and he's here to watch."
"Mt. Fuji! His head's Mt. Fuji!"
You facepalmed. I should've eaten the finger... actually no, bad idea. Satoru put Itadori down on the surface of the water.
"Why aren't we sinking?!" Yuji exclaimed, stamping his foot on the surface. "Sensei, I was at the school ten seconds ago, right? What's going on here?"
"Oh, we warped here," Satoru replied. You rolled your eyes slightly. You circled around Jogo, watching him stare at Itadori. Does he know he's Sukuna's vessel? He's not viciously attacking like he did us.
"What's the brat for? He a shield?" Jogo called.
"A shield? No no," Satoru replied. "I told you, he's here to watch. I'm in the middle of teaching this boy a lot of things. Don't worry about him. Just keep fighting."
"Bringing in someone who will just slow you down just makes you a fool." Jogo had a grin on his face. Satoru laughed.
"It'll be fine. After all... you're weak."
You saw the caps pop off of Jogo's head and ears. Thanks, Satoru. You moved out of the way before lava erupted from Jogo's head.
"DON'T UNDERESTIMATE ME, BRAT!!!!! I'M GOING TO ENJOY SWALLOWING UP THAT SMUG FACE OF YOURS!!!!!!"
You jumped over to the other two.
"Nice work," you said sarcastically.
"Oh! Y/n-senpai!"
You patted him on his head, rather harshly.
"Focus."
A bright, blinding light came from Jogo before his eruption reached a climax, the shockwaves rocking the water under you. Itadori stumbled with the water colliding into his legs. When his flames died down, he made a sign with his hands. Here it comes.
"Ryōiki Tenkai."
A black mass encased all of you, high above your heads. The ground below you cracked apart, lava seeping through it. Stone raised from the ground, arching up over you and connecting to form the inside of a volcano. Lava burst from the floors and walls.
"Wh... what is this?!" Itadori exclaimed.
"Domain Expansion," you replied, looking around. "Using cursed energy to create an Innate Domain, ingrained with a cursed technique in the surroundings."
"What you all experienced at the juvenile detention center was an incomplete domain that hadn't been imbued with any cursed techniques," Satoru went on. "If that had been a proper Domain, all of you first years would've died. I think Megumi understood that."
"Yeah, but spreading out a domain takes a shit ton of energy," you replied. "But the pros outweigh the cons."
"One such benefit is the boost to stats due to environmental factors," Satoru explained further.
"Oh!" Itadori perked up. "Like buffs in video games!"
"Another is..."
A large rock headed straight towards you and Satoru. Satoru merely elbowed it, completely crushing it. You blinked, and the stone(?) dissipated into dust.
"That the techniques imbued in the Domain are guaranteed to hit within that domain."
"Guaranteed?!"
"Guaranteed!"
You checked the watch that was not on your wrist. How the hell is Jogo letting this man prattle on?
"But don't worry. There are several ways to deal with it. You can take the hit using a cursed technique, like just now, or... I don't really recommend this one, but you can go outside the domain. That's usually impossible. You can also..."
"If I neutralize that Infinity of yours with a dense Domain, then my techniques will reach you," Jogo said.
"Yeah, they'll hit," Satoru agreed.
"Huh? Infinity?" Itadori repeated, crossing his arms in confusion.
"The most effective way to deal with a Domain is to lay out your own Domain." Satoru slowly reached up to pull his blindfold down. "When two Domains are laid out at the same time, the more refined one will dominate that space. Though sometimes, compatibility and the amount of cursed energy are factors." He pulled the blindfold down to the bridge of his nose, and Jogo took that time to attack.
"There won't even be ashes left of you, Satoru Gojo!" The ground split off and exploded, lava bursting through and coming at you like a wave. The lava paused right in front of you, and Itadori grunted--presumably from the heat. You glanced over at Satoru, and he fully pulled down the blindfold.
"Domain Expansion: Infinite Void." He crossed his middle and pointer finger. A bright light completely took over Jogo's Domain. Next thing you know, you're in Satoru's Domain. The infinite stimuli didn't effect you--because you weren't Satoru's target, and because of your jujutsu. Jogo was in the middle of the Domain--frozen. Satoru appeared behind him, holding Itadori in his arm. Satoru placed his hand on top of Jogo's head.
"This is the inner world of Limitless," he explained. "Perception, communication... every action involved in living is forcibly carried out an infinite amount of times." You looked around. It's been a while since I've been here.
"It's ironic, isn't it?" He continued. "When granted everything, you can't do anything... but just die peacefully. But I have questions I want to ask you, so I'm letting you off the hook with this." Without much hesitation, Satoru very much ripped Jogo's head off. Satoru released his Domain before chucking Jogo's head onto dry land. Putting Itadori down, Satoru stepped a foot on top of Jogo's head, holding his blindfold.
"Now, who told you to come after us?" He asked. "You don't seem the type to act on orders." Your attention moved from Satoru to another place--where you sensed a cursed spirit enter.
"Was something good supposed to happen if you killed us? Regardless, I want to know. Who was it? Come on, just tell me."
"Like I'd ever tell you, brat!"
"You sure you should be saying that?"
Jogo let out a grunt of pain.
"Damn you...!"
"Hurry up and tell me or I'll exorcise you. Of course I'll do it either way."
As Itadori was saying something, you looked up. A spear-like plant landed right between him and Jogo. Flowers spurted from it, creating a field of blue-glowing flowers. You looked around, brows furrowed. What's that supposed to do?
"Wow!"
"Flowers!"
"Pretty!"
You looked over to see Itadori and Satoru in some sort of trance. I see. Satoru managed to slap himself out of it. However, a large root came up from the ground and pulled Itadori up with it. You just stared at him flying. You held your hand out, and shot out pure cursed energy. The root withered, and decayed. Itadori was released, but still flying in the air. The gravity around him disappeared, and he began to float.
"H-huh?!?! Wh-what's going on?!"
You pursed your lips and let the gravity back, which made Itadori land on the ground with a hard oompf. You walked over to Satoru.
"They got away?" You asked.
"Yeah. That one's good at hiding his presence."
"I can sense him--want me to go after him?"
"No, let's focus on Yuji-kun."
"You'll most likely regret saying that."
"Haha, maybe."
Ja ne!
