EPILOGUE
After 1 year...
"HEY!" Jennie and Suga arrived at the café they all planned to meet up with.
They all gathered in the café. All were present except for Lali. Taehyung sat on the middle, observing Jimin and Chaeyoung happily talking to each other and to Jungkook having a fun chat with the hyungs.
He slowly took out his phone and immediately saw his lockscreen wallpaper.
A small smile crept up on Taehyung's face. Jisoo saw this as she was seating across him.
"She's not coming, Tae." Jisoo chuckled at him.
This caught others' attention and turned their heads towards Taehyung. Taehyung just shook his head amusingly and put his phone back in his pocket.
"I know. I just miss her." Taehyung gave them a smile.
This made them feel a glint of guilt and hearts softened. They all looked at Taehyung and his unreadable expression.
He looks hurt but at the same time he looks like he's fine.
"We miss her too." Namjoon assured him and smiled back at him.
Chaeyoung suddenly clapped her hands, "I know! Why don't we pay her visit? I'm sure she'll be happy to see us."
"Chae, it's not even the month to visit her yet." Jennie butted in.
Chaeyoung pouted, "But..."
Suga gave his girlfriend an eye roll for discouraging the younger, "I'll visit her tomorrow, Chae. Do you want to come?"
Chaeyoung's face lit up, "Really?! Yay!"
"Count me in!" Taehyung raised his hand.
"No. You are not. Babysitting Chaeyoung is already a lot of work." Suga rejected.
Taehyung pouted, "Fine." He suddenly stood up.
"I'm going to her right now." Taehyung spat, making their eyes widened.
"What? But you just came here! And we're finally gathered here!" Jungkook whined.
Taehyung smiled at them, "Enjoy!" And he waved goodbye, leaving the café.
Taehyung walked down the treet towards the bus station. The bits of snow falling from the sky made the boy look up and wonder about her.
"I should visit her." Taehyung muttered to himself and hopped inside the bus.
Destination: Seoul National Cemetery
After reaching the place, there was an open flower shop nearby. Taehyunv went it and was welcomed by the aesthetic warm ambiance of the shop.
"Welcome, Sir! What can I do for you?" A staff greeted him.
Taehyung scratched the back of his nape, acting shy, "I'm not really good with flowers. But can you bring me the prettiest boquet?"
The staff smiled at him, "It must be for someone special. We will get you the prettiest, Sir." The staff bowed and left Taehyung in the lounge.
After minutes of waiting, the boquet he ordered finally came in view. And it was indeed the prettiest.
He left the café and finally entered the cemetery. His eyes immediately saw her name and made his feet automatically walk towards her tombstone.
Upon reaching her, he crouched down and put the boquet beside her beautiful tombstone.
Taehyung stared down at her and put his hands on his pockets, standing straight up.
He smiled down at her, "Hey. How long has it been?"
Silence.
"I don't know where to start. Should I start by saying Thank you? Or sorry?" Taehyung chuckled at himself as flashbacks started flashing on his mind, making him emotional.
"Maybe I'm just gonna say you're one hell of a nightmare. But at the same time, you we're cool. Really cool." Taehyung spoke.
Taehyung smiled to himself, "Thank you. Not just for what you did a year ago but for everything. You made me realize a lot. You even made me do something I couldn't. So yeah... I hope you're doing well up there."
Taehyung heaved a deep sigh of relief, preparing to leave.
"Until we meet. Rest well."
He walked out of the cemetery and left her with all the blessings and prayers he could give.
"Taehyung!"
He was startled when he heard a familiar voice shouting behind him while he is waiting for a bus home.
"Taehyung!"
The voice once again shouted.
"No. It can't be." Taehyung muttered to himself.
He was too stunned to turn around and see for himself if he was hearing it right. But yet he gathered all the courage he has and slowly turned around.
As soon as his eyes laid on that sparkling familiar ones staring back at him with a smile, his eyes widened and immediately busted tears.
She was running towards him with that billion dollar smile whom Taehyung fell for. It was like a slowmo for Taehyung as she reached for him and wrapped her arms around him.
Her warmth felt too real.
"I missed you!" She tightened the hug.
Taehyung still couldn't believe it. His eyes still wet with tears and frozen on his spot.
"No... It can't be. Y-You're not real." Taehyung stuttered.
She pulled away from the hug and chuckled, "I am real, silly. I really missed you."
Taehyung shook his head unconvinced. He immediately cupped her face and stared at her, still in tears.
"Aww baby, you're crying! Did you miss me that much?" Lisa wiped the tears away from Taehyung's eyes.
He started pinching Lisa's cheeks for confirmation. Holding her and feeling her skin to him to make sure he wasn't dreaming.
And he suddenly slapped himself, making Lisa gasped. She immediately cupped Taehyung's face and caressed the part where he slapt himself.
On the other hand, Taehyung watched as Lisa touched and make him feel her warmth, her presence, he realness.
"Why did you do that!?" Lisa scolded him as she continued caressing his left cheek.
Taehyung suddenly pulled Lisa to him and engulfed her in another tight hug, "You are real."
Lisa hugged him back, "How tight should I hug you for you to believe me, hmm?" Lisa chuckled.
Taehyung pulled away from the hug and Lisa immediately saw tears on his eyes again. She immediately used the hem of her long coat to wipe it off.
"But how? How are you here?! How did you—"
Lisa smirked, "Sergeant Lee permitted me to. I have my ways!" She pinched Taehyung's cheeks and gave it a peck.
Indeed, the military life was hard for Lisa. At first, her unnies and oppas opposed to it. Especially Taehyung, her boyfriend. But she seemed determined and is willing to do it.
That's why they let her go and waited for almost a year.
"You know, I realized missing you at the military is giving me the energy I needed. I always thought of you and—"
Taehyung didn't let her finish and pulled Lisa to him, kissing her like it was their first time. But compared to the first time, this was more loving, more sincere, and more passionate.
On the other side, Jungkook who is watching them from afar, spoke.
"I guess our surprised wasn't that ruined, huh." He shrugged.
Hoseok smiled, "This was much better."
"But who did he visit here in the cemetery tho?" Jimin asked, his brows furrowing in confusion.
Chaeyoung smiled at him and hugged her boyfriend, "He visited one more friend of ours..."
"Xiao Han."
- the end.
