CHAPTER 5

AFTER school, all of them went back to their apartment. As usual, everyone had their own business while Jin and Jisoo supervise in the kitchen.

"Hey Lis!" Taehyung entered Lisa's room and found her spacing out again while sitting on her study table.

"Yeah?" Lisa turned to him.

Taehyung noticed the unusual expression of Lisa so he got worried.

"Do you have a partner on the Fanfiction Screenwriting assignment?" Taehyung asked.

"No—"

"Be my partner." Jungkook barged in.

Lisa was slightly shocked but Taehyung clenched his fist, annoyed. He glared at the youngest but Jungkook ignored his hyung and smiled at Lisa.

"I asked her first." Taehyung spat.

Lisa felt the tension again as the two kept on glaring at each other and are ready to throw a punch.

"Yah! What's wrong with the two of you?" Lisa tried to ease the tension by chuckling those words.

But Taehyung and Jungkook seemed to not care at it and only cared for her answer.

"I-I guess I'll just go with Tae. He asked me first. Sorry, Kookie." Lisa shrugged her shoulders.

Jungkook clicked his tongue and glared at Taehyung for the last time before exiting the room.

When the two are left, Taehyung's lips curved into a smile and sat beside Lisa, putting his notes on the table.

"So what do you want to write about?" Lisa asked him.

"Let's use Kpop artists!" Taehyung's eyes sparkled.

"Like... who?" Lisa furrowed her brows. Not really fan of Kpop.

"Blackpink and BTS? Do you know them?" He asked but Lisa just shook her head, not even familiar with the names.

"You don't? Do you live under a rock or something?" Taehyung's brows went higher than Lisa's grade at this point.

"Whatever Kim Taehyung. Let's just do this." Lisa grabbed Taehyung's notebook and started to write their homework.

"Chaeyoung!" Jimin whined as he shook Chaeyoung's shoulder, begging her to buy a suit in the mall.

"Ugh. Can't you go shopping by yourself?" Rosé grunted, rolling her eyes at the human mochi.

"Nooo! Come with me, Chaeng! Pleajeu~" and Jimin did his signiture aegyeo. Everyone couldn't resist an aegyeo. Especially when it's Jimin.

[Aegyeo = acting cute and flirty.]

"F-Fine!"

MALL...

"Why do you need a suit anyways? I don't remember having an occasion." Rosé asked him as they hop on the escalator.

"My parents wants me home this weekend and you know how much they hate casual clothes." Says the heir of Park Airlines, Jimin.

Chaeyoung just nodded her head and entered a clothing shop called 'Alexander Mcqueen'.

"Chaeng! Look!" Jimin spat as he pointed a maroon velvet suit in a mannequin.

"Nah. Too flashy." Chaeyoung shook her head.

"This?" Jimin pointed at a deep black suit with golden linings in it.

"You'll look old in that one." Chaeyoung chuckled.

Jimin bit his lips, struggling to pick a suitable formal wear for him.

Having been born in a filthy rich family is no joke for Jimin. He had a lot of struggles before he became one of Rosé and Taehyung's friends. His parents doesn't want him to take pharmacy and they hate how he's always with Chaeyoung. But Jimin had his ways and never let a chance to show how much he loves Park Chaeyoung.

"Why do you need a nice suit anyways? Your just meeting your family. You can just re-use your other suits. And you have like a hundred of it in your closet." Chaeyoung shrugged her shoulders.

"Yeah. But they told me to dress well. And I need your opinion because you're a fashion guru and well... A woman." Jimin hesitated.

Chaeyoung furrowed her brown in confusion.

"You need my opinion because I'm a woman?" Chaeyoung raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. Because I need to look presentable in front of this fiancé that my mom keeps on talking."

And with that Chae didn't know how to react after feeling her lungs tightening a little. But she managed to chuckle. At least.

"R-Really? You're already getting married and you can't even shop on your own? Haha. You suck, Park Jimin." Chaeyoung tried her very best to laugh naturally. But Jimin still hear the awkwardness in her voice.

"I do?" Jimin worriedly asked his lover.

Chaeyoung felt her chest even tighter realizing that his 'bestfriend'is worried that his fiancé might not like him.

"Y-Yeah. What's the name of your fiancé anyways? I bet she's gorgeous." Chaeyoung again tried her best to sound natural.

"Was it Sunmi? Sungyeon? Somi? Seul... Oh right! Her name's Seulgi." Jimin's smile widened.

His smile was too sincere that Chaeyoung felt even more hurt and suffocated.

"Oh... Just pick whatever you want. Everything suits you anyways." And Chaeyoung turned around.

But when she did, she saw something that made her eyes widen and her brows furrow in fear.

It was just standing there but is staring intently at Rosé. Chaeyoung stood frozen, staring at the little girl with weird face standing in the entrance of the fashion botique.

She wanted to break the eye contact because the more she look at it, the more her surroundings get darker and heavier.

Rosé trembled in fear, standing 10 meters away from this girl. She felt like if she breaks the eye contact, something bad happens.

"Hey." She was startled when she felt Jimin's hand on her shoulder. She faced Jimin with her startled face.

"Are you okay? Chaeyoung?" Jimin worriedly shook Chaeyoung's shoulders which caught her back to reality.

She looked back at the entrance and it was still there. Staring directly at her.

"Chae! Are you okay?! Yah!" Jimin started to panic and this time, Rosè took one last glance at the entrance and it was gone.

"I-I'm fine." Rosé stuttered, trying to sound okay.

"You seem scared. Did you saw something?" Jimin worriedly asked her.

"I just... thought I saw something." Chaeyoung answered making Jimin furrow his brows.

"What did you saw?" Jimin asked again.

"A girl with a weird face." She answered.

But instead of an answer, Jimin was confused even more. Chaeyoung noticed the uneasiness on Jimin's face so she chuckled to get rid of the tension.

"I-I was probably hallucinating." Chaeyoung chuckled.

Hearing her answer and chuckle made Jimin less worried so he just nodded smiled back at Chaeyoung.

But Rosé couldn't take the little girl's appearance off her mind.

It wasn't her first time seeing ghosts since she loves scary things. But it was her first time encountering a very odd one.

And she was sure it was something real. And at the same time...

Something bad.
