Hi everybody!!!!!!!!!! Thanks you so much for reading my story. I tried to upload as often as i can.

i am leaving tomorrow for vacation but i will try to update whenever i find wifi....

I'll continue writing in my cell phone so I am sure i will have some chapters to update

So this is chapter 10, it is quiet big for my standarts..... hope you enjoy it!!!!!!!

Chapter 10

Maya reached her home still fuming. She run up her apartment and entered it as quietly as she could. She did not want Christy to hear her and come over full of questions. She needed some time alone to absorb what had happened and make plans for the future. But as soon as she came in her apartment she found Christy all over her couch chewing on a piece of pizza.

“Where have you been? I have been waiting for you over an hour now. I even ordered some pizza for dinner. You were too late and I already began eating it. Come here! Take of your coat grab a piece and tell me all about your day at work. I see July found your purse, I knew you would have left it there. I mean apparently you were too drunk if you don’t even remember the guy you left with. Did July say something about him? Did she see you leave with someone?”

“Oh my God stop already. I am not through the door yet and you’ve already asked like a million questions. Well answer one of mine. What are you doing here? This is not your place. Go eat at your apartment I need to rest.”

“Ha! As if I would let you off the hook that easy. Come here you are obviously pretty pissed at something or someone… teeeeell me”

“I am not going to get rid of you, am I?”

“Nope deal with it! Besides telling me will help you unwind. It always does”

“Aaaarg.  Let me take a quick shower and I will be right up.”

“Ok but be quick the pizza is getting cold! Do you want me to get you a beer from the fridge?”

“Do not, I repeat do not ever let me drink alcohol again!!!!!!!!”

“Still affected from the hangover I see….” Christy mumbled.

The pizza was smelling fine and Maya’s stomach made complaining noises so she took the fastest shower. She always had a healthy appetite, something that was always considered by her boyfriends unladylike. They were used to their anorexic ex girlfriends that survived in salad and she had to suffer for it. More than once she had eaten a full meal before a date so that she could pick on the salad she would order later while on the date. That’s why she had ordered a salad for lunch. She did not want to eat like a pig in front of Nicolas so now she was famished. I should have ordered a huge sandwich she chided herself.

“ Why should I care what he thought of my eating habits. He is nothing to me.” She mumbled while in the shower. But as soon as the words were out of her mouth she knew that was not the truth. She did care what he thought. All day she felt absolutely self conscious sitting beside him. It was as if her body was drown magnetically to him. That kind of thing had never happened to her before and she was not happy about it. Especially now that she knew that he was a total jerk. Well her body had to get over it. He was not the man for her.

When she got out of her bedroom and was gritted by a flying pillow

“Well come on! I am dying here waiting for you”

“Ya I can see that. You have already eaten three pieces.”

“Hey I am not some anorexic slut. I actually like eating for dinner.”

“No you are a plain slut”

“Hey more talk like that and I want let you have any of my pizza.”

“NO NO I am sorry you are the sweetest, slimmest, full of virtues friend I have got.”

“Ya let’s not stretch it that much. So take a piece and start telling me about your day.”

“Well, I had a great start with a flat tire this morning which resulted to my being late for work. I mean I can change a tire but I am not that fast.”

“Ok so you were late for once that is not a big deal is it?”

“My boss thought differently…”

“What he gave you hell for being for once late? That is not very big of him especially since you went to the office every day earlier, when he was away, just to talk to him at a convenient for him hour.”

“Ya, well he was pretty pissed at me when I got at the office and I am pretty sure that me being late wasn’t the only reason…”

“What then? Did he see you drunk at the party and he was judgmental? What an ass…”

“Not exactly…”

“Then what? Come on spit it out”

“Let’s just say July was not the one who gave me back my purse…”

“NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!  He was the guy you slept with?”

“Unfortunately yes. Agh this is a total disaster. He totally hates me and I am sure that he will be firing me soon enough…”

“But why? Why would he want to fire you? I mean usually bosses get frustrated when their employees don’t sleep around with them. You gave it to him on the first night you were introduced face to face.”

“CHRISTYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“What I am right! Why was he so anal about it? Did he ask you for a repeat game and you refused?”

“He did not ask me such a thing don’t be absurd. He didn’t even say  a thing to me up until the last moment.”

“Wow back up there for a moment. Why don’t you tell me what happened from the beginning and let me be the judge of what happened”

“Ok. So I got there late as I told you and when I got to his office and saw that it was the guy from the other night I was totally speechless. But not him. Nooo  he was so ready to chew me and spit me like an old gum. He yelled at me because I was late and he implied that was making a habit of it. I explained that I had a flat tire but I don’t think he believed I could change it myself.”

“What an ass! Why would he not believe that?”

“Well apparently all the girls at the office call a guy that also works there to take care of it. Nicolas insisted that he also checked my car.”

“Nicolas aaaah. He wanted you to be safe.”

“More like check I really had a flat tire if you ask me. And the name accidentally slipped I meant Mr. Larkson.”

“Well that is a bit formal don’t you think? Considering the intimacies you have already sheared?”

“Nope we are not on first name bases he kept calling me Mrs. James all day”

“That sucks. Is he calling everyone there by their last name? Maybe he thought you were married and he was pissed about the other night?”

“He calls the other employees by their first names and he had asked me in my interview if I was married and had said that because of the workload I had to take on he probably would have hesitated hiring me if I had a family and had to work lesser hours. Considering what I had to deal with this past months I sadly have to agree with him….”

“Ok we are losing focus here. What happened after you got over the whole flat tire situation.”

“After that ended we started working non-stop on a deal I closed on Friday. And when I say non-stop I really mean non-stop. If July hadn’t come to interrupt us and offer to order lunch I would probably have not eaten a thing. My first bathroom break was before I left the office today after our meeting ended.”

“Jesus what a tyrant. He didn’t leave you to go to the bathroom?”

“Oh no I did not dare to ask. We were working non-stop. I was lucky I had time to breathe trough the whole ordeal.”

 “You still haven’t told me what he told you about the night that you spent together.”

“He didn’t say a word.”

“Not a word?”

“Not until the end when the meeting was all over and I was leaving his office. He waited until I was almost out to take the purse from his drawer and to throw it to me saying “Oh and Mrs. James I think in your haste yesterday you forgot this””

“Oh my GOD what a slime! What did you tell him?”

“There were too many things I wanted to tell him but that would for sure get me fired and I didn’t want to give him the satisfaction.”

“And what you didn’t say anything? You let him have all the fun?”

“I kind of yelled to him that it is Miss James and I stormed of the office.”

“Ok I am calling him to give him a piece of my mind!!!”

“No you are not! I am a big girl I will deal with him. I intend to be very professional like he obviously wants me and start looking for a new job.”

“You are going to quit?”

“No but it was obvious today that he doesn’t want me there but since I am not quitting I am sure he will fire me soon.”

“Oh girl this sucks. And you worked so much these past months for this job. Are you sure you can’t discuss it with him? It is obvious he is pissed with the fact that you slept together but he was there. You were the complete drunk one but he went to his home with you. Obviously he wanted you to be there so he can’t be mad about that. Oh oh oh I know he is pissed you left without a word that’s why he gave you the cold shoulder today”

“The cold shoulder? He humiliated me!”

“Ok you are right he was a total jerk about it and I am not saying you should forgive him. I am just trying to figure the reason for his behavior so that we can find a way for you to keep your job.”

“You are right. He probably is pissed over my leaving like that in the morning yesterday but to my defense I woke up in a strange house with a stranger.”

“I know sweety but he doesn’t, that’s why I am saying that you probably should talk with him about the night you spent together.”

“You are right but it is my turn to be pissed with him over his behavior. He didn’t give me the chance to explain myself to him.”

“You have all the rights of the world honey but you are going to have to talk to him if you want a chance to keep your job, even if he doesn’t deserve it.”

“This sucks. Maybe I should try to find another job. It seems easier.”

“Nope! You are not a quitter. Tomorrow you are going to your office and you tell him that you need to talk to him about the other night and after you finish with that talk give him hell for the way he treated you today. He has no right to treat my friend like that!”

“Ah Christy you are the best friend! I really appreciate you helping me this past year with everything. I know that you are right and that I am not acting like my usual self today and that I may be acting a little bit childish but I am so mad at what happened today!”

“You are not being childish honey. If I was in your place, then you would see childish.”

“I know”

“Hey where are the best friend comments?”

“Don’t know….. come let’s eat I am famished”

“Ok ok you have a forgive pass for tonight only.”

“Ough lucky me!”

“Hey don’t push it baby girl.”

“Ha ha eat” she said already in her second piece

“Like you left anything… My god you eat fast. Thank god I had some pieces before.”

“I said I am famished you should be more fast.”

“How much faster you almost broke the speed of light there.”

“Have fun with me as much as you want I only had salad for lunch”

“You? Only salad?”

“I ate with my boss. I didn’t want to be a pig over it.”

“OUuuuuuu you wanted to impress him”

“Nooooooooo I just didn’t want to give him more ammunition over firing me.”

“Ya because it is common knowledge that people are getting fired over their eating habits.”

“Ha ha,  I am sticking with my story!”

“Whatever let’s you sleep soundly at night.”

“Yap that’s it!!!!!!!!”

They ate chatting about other things  for a while more and then Christy left Maya alone to rest. Maya was so tired that she slept right away.
