Jay had disappeared into the shadows, and Heeseung was back beside me.
"Heeseung!"
He looked behind us, finding a boy with a sweet smile. He had a hint of an accent in his voice, but it was just barely there. He looked at me. "Ah, is this your friend? Hi, I'm Jake!"
I waved. "Hi, I'm Hyojun."
Heeseung and Jake talked for a bit, when the song changed.
And, of course, it was How's This by Hyuna. Aka the dance I almost died learning in high school. Aka the dance that completely changes how people view me.
I mean, I guess I can see how an "innocent" person dancing to any Hyuna song would change your impression of them.
So, of course, I started dancing. It was the first (and probably last) college party that I'd ever attended, so why not make an impact?
People loved it. They cheered for me, shouting my name (since when did so many people know my name?), just hyping me up.
It was different. A good different.
After the song ended, I turned to Heeseung and Jake, who were cheering. Heeseung nudged me. "Damn, you got moves, cutie."
I smirked, but feigned innocence. "I mean, I guess I'm kinda okay."
We all started dancing, getting carried away to the music.
Finally, me and Jake sat alone. Heeseung was on the dance floor still. Jake turned to me. "You're a really good dancer. Even Heeseung approves. You know it's good when Heeseung approves."
I nodded.
Jake was an interesting case. He wasn't popular, but was known just enough to not be unpopular. If popularity is 50, and unpopularity is 49, he's right in the center. 49.5. A fraction.
He was generally quiet, but he spoke up when he wanted. Ah, and he was the best friend of the ice prince himself, Park Sunghoon.
"So why are you here?" I asked.
He shrugged. "I always attend parties that Heeseung hosts. It's easier than doing homework all night."
I honestly envied Jake. I wish I could be more like this. Maybe after this party, I'll try to be more social.
He got up, holding out his hand to me. "What do you say? Wanna dance with me?"
I thought for a second. If I said no now, I could turn away from this whole party and go home. Stay in my bubble, never go outside again. And if I said yes, it would be too late.
So, I grabbed his hand and let him pull me up. And we danced, danced until we could barely walk.

"Ooh, they're about to play King's Cup!"
Jake, Heeseung, and I sat down on the floor. In the center of the circle of people, there were stacks of cards surrounding a big cup.
Hyunjae clapped. "So here's the rules. We go in a circle, drawing a card. You have to do whatever is associated with that specific card. Whoever takes a King gets to pour whatever they want into the cup."

After the rules were all explained, we started off with me (since I was the "king of the dance floor")
It was an eight. Obviously, I chose Heeseung, like the whipped person I was.
Everyone cheered. Next, Jake picked a five. All the guys drank. The game went on, until finally, I drew the fourth king.
Okay, so let's be clear here. The drink mixture wasn't bad. It just wasn't good. Unfortunately, I was peer pressured into downing it. Damn you college kids with nothing better to do with your time.
After a few more rounds, the game ended. Heeseung whisked me away to under the staircase, where nobody was. The music was loud, but it sounded faint in my ears when he spoke.
"Well, how are you enjoying the party?"
I smiled. "It's fun. I might have to come to one of your parties again."
A smirk played on his lips. "You're always welcome, whether there's a party or not."
"Ah, I'll keep it in mind, handsome."
"Well, may I have this dance?"
"You most certainly may."

"Hyung. You know that you can't be together."
"I know. It's just that... he seems so familiar."
"Don't try to remember. You can't remember. You know what happened when I remembered, don't know?"
"It can't be a coincidence."
"Hyung, please. I won't stop you from doing anything, but I'm not gonna be able to save you if you fall in love."
"I know. But I can't ignore this feeling."
"Okay. I hope that you can at least find why he's familiar so that this isn't in vain."
"I really hope so too..."
