Why do you write?

I write because I find it very enjoyable. I find it very easy to escape into the various worlds that I write in, and I find it very relaxing to do it. Part of it is curiosity, as well. I see a picture on deviantArt, or something when I'm out and about and I wonder what the story behind it is. If there's something that really catches my attention, I generally end up having to write about it so I can focus on what I'm actually supposed to be doing.

Out of all your stories, which one is your favorite?

My favourite work tends to be my most recent work, so at the moment, out of the ones on Wattpad, it's Nineteen. I'm really happy with how it all ended up coming together. In general, though, the works I'm happiest with tend to be my short stories. There's something I really enjoy about just spending a small amount of time in a scenario, place or character.

How do you create your characters?

I wouldn't say I have a process for creating characters. By the point that the setting and the plot are woven together in my head, the characters are already kind of there. From there, I spend a lot of time asking why they do things and how they feel about things. I also write lots of random scenes featuring them that are never used in the story. I guess you'd call it stress testing, in the way that it's just to see how they react to certain situations, and each other.

Out of your characters, which one are you the most like? Which one would you most want to be like?

I'm not a lot like any of my characters, and that's probably a good thing given I write mostly criminals. In terms of individual character traits, I think I'm more like Hans than anybody else in Nineteen.

What do you do when you have writer's block?

Not much, generally. Sometimes it helps to look at writing prompts, if it's because I'm stuck on how a certain plot point should play out. More often than not, these days my writer's block is due to tiredness or lack of time to write, and the only real cure I've found for that is to relax.

How do you plan out your stories?

I don't. I always have a rough idea of where I'm going, but it's constantly changing, even within a few chapters. I made myself write out a proper bullet-pointed plan before doing Camp Nano in July, but I found that I strayed from it very quickly. I just ended up wasting time that could be used for writing planning.

What are your writing weaknesses?

I find it very hard to tell. Wattpad seems to completely disagree with me, which is strange. I would say it's pacing.

What are you writing strengths?

I like to think that it's world-building/setting. [G.S. Glow Commentary: Agreed. Top notch!]  It's usually the one aspect of the story that I am one-hundred percent certain on. In fact, it's generally where a lot of my story ideas begin.

What genre do you read?

My favourite genres are science fiction, mystery, and comedy, but I'll give most things a shot, so long as they aren't YA.

What genre do you write?

Science fiction, generally with a mystery element to them.

Include a small blurb/summary of your story so people can see your work.

Hans Ryer's mission leads him to Ioone, the luxury space hotel that exists purely because it can. But he is not the only bounty hunter hiding in the masquerade party of the opening nights, nor the only one with his goal.

This is his last mission, and his last chance. As time begins to drip away, he comes across Dagna Coban, a girl who is entirely out of place.
