Three things you love besides writing/reading?

1) Animals

2) Performing (singing, dancing acting - basically musical theatre)

3) Travelling and exploring!

Three things you hate?

1) Being blamed for things I did not do

2) Ignorance and intolerance (I class them as the same)

3) Insects!!!!!!!! Especially cockroaches

Why do you write?

Escape. I love escaping into different worlds. And I love the feeling of breathing life to something I created and sharing it. The latter is still in progress, but I hop to become good enough to stir emotion in people from my writing

Out of all your stories, which one is your favorite?

At the moment, Thief King is my baby and the one I am most proud of. But character wise there is a story I wrote in High School (my first) and I still have a very strong connection to a character in that one

How do you create your characters?

I first take a defining flaw. I then take something to balance that and so I have a positive and a negative. I then start fleshing out what they would do in certain situations so that I can get a grasp of their scope. I then flesh out how much space they demand and how they move and sound. It is quite a process but I basically use the training I got in acting and apply it.

Out of your characters, which one are you the most like?

Hmmmmm, in the Thief King, I have a little of me in each of the characters. I literally divided myself. But which one I relate most to, it would be Sera

What do you do when you have writer’s block?

Read and watch movies

How do you plan out your stories?

I start with segments. So four segments and then I divide it up until I have 60 scenes. I make sure it covers the basic outline of the book and then include subplots and problems to hinder the hero's journey.
