Three Things you love besides writing/reading?
1) Music- I have playlists for everything-- noveling playlists, playlists for when I'm happy, sad, angry, and everything in between. 95% of the time I'm listening to music.
2) Painting/drawing/photography (whether I'm any good at it or not)
3) Are you sure I can't say reading and writing? Well, if I have to think of something else... Food! Food is wonderful. I have a lovely metabolism (for now) so I have no qualms with taking advantage of it.
Three Things you hate?
1) Manipulative ****s (insert whatever expletive you prefer). I had an emotionally/mentally abusive and manipulative ex who turned our friends against me and made me out to be the bad guy by making up lies and twisting everything he said about me.
2) Being interrupted when I'm reading or writing.
3) People who lie to my face. I don't care if the truth hurts, I would rather hear it.
Why do you write?
I write because it's what I do. It's an outlet. Whether I write in a journal, or I write my novels-- it's just what I do.
Out of all your stories, which one is your favorite?
Out of what I've written, there isn't much to choose from so far. Rainbow Star is my favorite by default. It's my only novel and it's a work in progress.
How do you create your characters?
I'm sorry, did you ask how I create my characters? Well, funny story there-- I try, and then they just take on a life of their own and stop listening to me rather quickly.
Out of your characters, which one are you the most like?
Again, I don't have many to choose from, but Katarina from Rainbow Star is the most like me. She's introverted, loves to read, and she loves Harry Potter.
What do you do when you have writer’s block?
Depending on the situation, I either take a day away from it, or I force myself to write another scene. Sometimes I'll read what I wrote so far and edit and add to it, and other times I'll force myself to sit and write a few words even if they don't fit into the story how I want them to.
How do you plan out your stories?
I'm terrible about planning really, but hey, I successfully completed Camp NaNoWriMo with no real planning involved, so it seems to work for me. But honestly, I have a sense of the characters and where I want the story to go, but usually the characters don't follow the original plan. I just go with the flow.
