Lucinda's screams ring throughout the air.

Calm her down?

I have already tried mate.

(Why did I put mate in there? I'm not Australian...or am I?)

My calf feels as if it is on fire.

Though it wasn't as bad as the pain of not-knowing-where Aphmau was...

She couldn't be...

She...

No...

She's fine...

wait...

She can't swim..

My thoughts are interrupted by a loud sound.

I look up, finding in the horizon a small speedboat.

I start shouting at the top of my lungs.

Sadly, my lungs are rather crappy at the moment

Lucinda raises an eyebrow at me, then realizes what I was doing.

She continues to scream, her hand still on Laurence's head.

They bring us in to a local hospital, strapping Laurence, Lucinda and I to gurneys.

When I arrive in the emergency room, I see an astonishing sight. 

There were so many people in the chaotic room.  

Doctors and nurses were rushing around from one bed to another.  

Maybe in one of them is Aphmau.

While the plastic surgeon was cleaning out my wound, I grimace.

He notices my pain.

"I'm so sorry, the numbing must be wearing off..." He says.

"Aren't you people suppose to be good at this..." I retort.

"I assure you this is the best hospital and best care center in the region"

Wow....

Okay Mr. Ego...

"Has...Aphmau...Phoenix been...admitted here?" I question in a raspy voice.

I didn't notice how dry my mouth was.

He looks up at me, giving me a pitiful look.

"Well....I can check the board...just let me clean the wound first please.." he starts, but I interrupt him.

"Please....I need..to know.....if she...is okay.."

"Sir, you need to rest okay...I will check later.."

I scoff.

"Hey...I promise I'll find out..okay? now rest" He commands.

He leaves towards the nurse's station, addressing one of the nurses.

I bite my lip, taking a deep breath in.

I can rest when I know she is okay..

She can't swim..

My head just keeps ringing.

Oh yeah, I should tell him about the head injury.

The plastic surgeon comes over, a grim look on his face.

He fidgets with his fingers, looking down before looking back up at me.

"There is no record of an Aphmau Phoenix being admitted to this hospital.." He states formally.

My heart speeds up.

My brain starts to attack me.

He must of noticed my reaction.

"That doesn't mean she isn't out there..she could be at another hospital.." He starts but I interrupt him yet again.

"You said this was the best hospital and care center in the region.." I replay his words back at him.

He drops his head biting his lip.

"She hasn't been seen anywhere...from what our sources tell us..."
