Chapter Twenty-Seven: A Vampire

Bella POV

As Jasper, Emmett, Alice, Edward, and Carlisle join James, he takes another bit out of me. But this time he's thrown off of me. He goes flying through the wall as I sink back to the ground.

My wrist starts burning like hell. Worst than what Charlie ever did to me. But I'm use to the pain and don't scream out. I'm finally going to die. It was always my fate anyway.

The Cullen's chase after James as they fight him. Somehow he gets away and comes towards me and bits me again. He's thrown off of me again by Jasper and the others rip him apart while Carlisle and Jasper crouch near me.

I thought they were with James. Aren't they going to kill me?

The pain starts to get worse now that James has bit me again and the venoms spreading. Wait venom?! Oh shiz. Of course! I becoming a vampire.

Oh man, I'm going to have to kill humans! I think I'm going to puke. Well, if I could.

"Carlisle is it happening?" Jasper asks, looking over worriedly at Carlisle. Carlisle nods looking down at me.

"Yes, we're to late."

I see fire in the background as Alice, Emmett, and Edward rip James apart and throw him into the fire that they made using the wall I had been thrown into.

"Q.....ck ....estion." I manage to get out. Carlisle looks at me and nods.

"Eyes?" I gasp out. I could feel everything starting to become fuzzy.

"We're vegetarian vampires, we drink animal blood."

That's the last thing I hear before the whole world becomes black and I black out.

"Look, I'm telling you, 5 minutes. I swear I'm not lying." I hear someone say. Alice.

Five minutes? How long have I even been out? Its felt like days, months, years! But all I've felt is pain.

I've kept myself from screaming out and kept my lips tight. My body felt numb and tense, other than painful. But that was the main thing, pain.

"Can she hear us?" I hear another person ask. Rose.

"She can." Alice says. I hear footsteps then someone puts their hand on my arm.

"It's almost over Bella, I promise." Rose says. I can't do anything to say I heard her, so I just wait and listen.

I could here tons of things, from cars moving, to animals out in the forest. Were we back in Forks? I had no idea. I could all smell loads of things to. Like all the vampires scents that were in the room.

This was pretty cool. But I have to drink humans. Great, lets just put a dent in my fantasy dream.

Wait. Didn't Carlisle say something about animals? Right before I blacked out he said something about vegetarians.

"We're vegetarian vampires, we drink animal blood."

Of course! Oh thank the gods! I probably would have died because I would never have been able to kill a human.

"About 1 minute." I heard Alice say as my heart started to beat faster and faster. Rose pulled her hand away from my arm and I could hear everyone backing away slightly. Did they think I was going to kill them?

My heart just kept beating faster and faster and it felt like it was going to explode from my chest, until it suddenly stopped.

Everyone stopped breathing, even me! Was I suppose to open my eyes, or... what?!

My eyes flew open and everything seemed so clear. I could see every speck of dust that floated around the room. I could see more colors than seen with humans eyes on a rainbow. This was totally mind blowing.

Someone shifted to the side and my head snapped in their direction. I sat up and jumped off the bed. Everyone tensed and watched me cautiously. Ok, seriously. What the hell?

"Um, hi?" It came out more like a question. They flinched when I spoke and then looked at each other in confusion.

"Bella, how do you feel?" Carlisle asks. Uh, ok. Not exactly the answer I was looking for but hey.

"Uh, fine." I say.

"Carlisle, I told she was going to be different." Alice says coming to stand near Carlisle. Carlisle nods.

"Do you know what you are?" He asks and I look at him like he's crazy.

"Uh, ya. I'm a vampire." I say. He looks surprised, as do the others. These people have got to be crazy.

"Soooo." I say rocking back on my heels. "What now?" Emmett looks at me incredulous.

"What now?! Really! Don't you know anything about being a vampire?" He asks. I shake my head.

"Only that you guys hunt animals, and the red ones hunt humans. That your fast and strong. Your cold skinned and have to be killed by being ripped apart, and that we're immortal." I say. Carlisle looks impressed.

"Really? Wow, you know more than most vampires went they wake up." He says.

"Ya, ya,ya,ya. Someone take her hunting before she suddenly explodes and kills us all going blood crazy." Alice says.

"Alice." Esme says sharply.

"I'll take her." Jasper says stepping up. Carlisle nods and Jasper gestures for me to follow.

I follow him towards a door that leads out to the balcony and realize we are back in Forks. We step out and Jasper steps off the balcony edge and lands gracefully.

I look over the edge at him and bite my lip. I was suppose to jump?! Ya, ok.

"It's alright. I'll catch you if you crash." Jasper stays gesturing down.

I take a deep breath and step off the edge. The ground comes faster than I think and I land gracefully on the ground next to Jasper. He smiles and nods.

"That was great. Now come on." He says and takes off.

"Hey!" I yell and take off after him. Being a vampire is so much fun, and it's only just begun.
