A small girl with golden eyes, hair the colour of Straw and dark skin ran at me at the speed of sound.

My face was clouded with her hair and I couldn't breathe.

"hh-EU Hazel" I wheezed.

"i-i can't-"

Then frank also hugged me and all existing air in my body was squeezed out.

It was nice to be hugged but my voice was going blurry when they finally let go.

" it's wonderful to see you" boomed Frank. I wheeze for a moment trying to find my air.

" it's nice to see you guys to"

"WILL WHY ARE YOU MAD AT ME!"

Oh, gods. Two boys walked into the workshop having a screaming match.

Will and Nico weren't friends or boyfriends, sometimes it seemed like they hated each other so the fact they were always hanging out bewildered me.

"Nico that guy wasn't that hit can you please stop raving on and on"

"well I'm sorry Mr to straight for anything"

"I'm not straight Nico, I'm bisexual and he wasn't that hot"

"you have no taste, Will"

" I really don't Nico considering I hang about with you"

The glared daggers at each other, so to stop the imminent murder I cut in.

"Hi guys, I'm back"

The rage which they turned on me when the looked over was frightening but Will cleared up in a moment.

"oh Annabeth gods it's great to see you"

He gave me a quick hug and looked me up and down.

"you look more tan"

"I've been learning to surf"

"oh cool"

Will started talking to hazel and Frank about some time he went surfing.

I walked over to Nico.

"Hey Nico, how are you"

I've always felt close to Nico, I knew his sister very well before she was killed in a plane accident. He had been very close to Jason so I hoped he was coping okay.

"I'm just peachy" he glared over my shoulder at Will.

Suddenly Piper burst through the door.

"ANNIE" she ran over and hugged me, after almost two months of no physical contact apart from well... It was nice to be hugged again.

"heya Pipes".

"So Annabeth you have to tell me about the tragic end of your summer romance"

"piper can we talk about this Another time"

She understood but I was anxious about if Nico heard or not.

I spent the rest of the day talking and laughing with my friends, it's felt good to be surrounded by my people again but still, I felt an odd sadness, I wanted Percy to be here with me.

I had cane here on foot and decided to walk home. Let's just say it wasn't the best idea.
