Percy gave me a high five the moment I paddled back over to him.

"I'm still not able to these cool tricks that you do."

Percy is so supportive, the way he praises me makes my chest feel warm and my cheeks red.

Percy let out a massive yawn and flexed his arms over his head, "we should paddle in soon Wise girl.......... Annabeth are you okay?"

My eyes we glued to his side, his left side. A long silver scar I had never seen before was etched along his rib cage, under his arm to his hip.

"How did you get that scar Percy?"

I looked up at him to see his eyes dark, he features become sharper, anger was rising behind those eyes.

He looked up and saw how I felt.... scared.

"no no it's nothin... it's really not anything for you to worry over"

I met his eyes again, "who hurt you?" I could mask my own anger, I have seen scared like that before and know you don't just get them from a fall.

Percy looked shocked and startled at my own anger.

" let's just head back in".

We listed our boards back up and placed them in the dry grassy sand dunes. Percy hadn't said a word to me.

"Hey Annabeth I have some old fire woof and was thinking of having a fire later tonight, come over if you want".

With that, he turned and began to walk down to his beach house.

I didn't like to see Percy like that, I wondered how I had never seen that scar before, I wondered how he got such a scar, I wanted to pry and beg for an answer but I knew that digging would get me nowhere and he would tell me in his own time.
