New: Chapter 3
~Benjamin's POV~
Mornings were the worst, especially on a Monday. I stretched, peering at my alarm clock. It was around 5, and I was wide awake.
Great.
I'd been waking up earlier and earlier now, even when I didn't have too, and it was actually getting really annoying. I've been running out of anime to watch.
Not that anyone knew I watched anime. I was a secret fan. Alphas weren't supposed to be into that. But, then again, I'd just moved schools. Hopefully, I wouldn't get the same reputation as the last few schools.
I shuddered. "Not a good thought to start off your Monday morning, Ben," I muttered to myself as I plopped over to the bathroom.
I'd never heard of this school before, but my parents were running out of places to send me. "Stop screwing up, and maybe you'll last more than a year at one high school," my mom had said last night at dinner. My little brother had laughed, and I almost threw a fork at his face.
Keyword, almost.
I love my little brother too much to do that. He's the only one that'll actually listen to me when I'm blubbering on about how horrible my classmates are, or how horrific the death of my favorite character was. As that thought passed through, a timid knock sounded on the door.
I smirked. Speak of the devil.
I opened the door to see his smiling face, and I melted. I could tell by the nervous smile on his face that he had something to tell me. Then the scent hit.
Holy crap. My brother's an Omega.
I pulled him into my room, and he squealed. "Alex!" He turned and immediately, the smile on his face vanished and he turned into a blubbering mess. "B-Britney, I-I'm gonn-na ge-et so t-teased for t-this!" I pulled him onto my bed and calmed him down.
Not a good start to a Monday morning, at all.
"Don't worry, Alex. I won't let anything happen to you," I whispered as I pet his hair soothingly, inhaling a long breath of his scent, fresh clothes and lemon, a stage scent, and smiled slightly.
He was always an actor. Although, now he can't act, being an Omega. I winced silently at the thought of his dreams going down the drain.
He sniffled, breaking me out of my thoughts. "There's no way you can do anything about it. You're on a whole other side of town!" He sniffled and looked at me, the usual twinkle from his eye gone. I tsked. "Just because I'm there, that doesn't mean you can't keep in touch with me." I gestured towards my phone and a small smile returned to his face. "Good thing mom is an Omega." I smiled weakly. "I guess so, kiddo."
By the time I had gotten to school, the tears had dried off my little brother's face, and his little twinkle had returned. I hopped out of the car, my rare timid smile becoming my fake smile, and I finally felt relaxed.
Showtime.
On a usual Monday, I'd go to my locker, but, new school, remember? I walked towards the office and a cheery lady sat at her desk, her scent a soothing chamomile, a Beta scent, looking up as I approached. "Good morning!" My timid smile faltered and I grinned awkwardly. "Hi, I'm Benjamin Dawson. I'm new?" The cheery lady smiled wider. "Well welcome then! It's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Ms. Ortiz, the guidance counselor for the majority of the students," she beamed, getting up to shake my hand. I awkwardly shook it and she smiled even wider. Creepy shit, I thought as she sat back down.
"So, Mister Benjamin, I'm pulling up your schedule right now, and your homeroom is in Building E, Room 47. I'll print up your schedule right now." She clicked something and left to go grab my schedule, I'd assume. When she returned, she handed me my schedule as the door clicked open, and I was hit with another, much stronger scent, smelling of ink and paper. I turned towards the intriguing scent to find a small male, most likely Omega, wrapped in a large sweater and beanie.
Upon seeing me, the Omega immediately stiffened. He shuffled, his small eyes going wide and clearly resisting temptation by the seducing vanilla scent in the air, towards Ms. Ortiz. The two have a muted conversation in which a small book is passed. My eyes widened, my interest in this Omega growing larger by the second. An Omega who likes to read? That's new. As I silently observed the tiny Omega, he let out a tiny squeak and I startled, looking up at Ms. Ortiz, who was now calming him down.
Once the Omega calmed down, Ms. Ortiz looked up at me and smiled. "Benjamin, meet Anthony. He'll be helping you around school for a bit until you get on your feet." The Omega smiled weakly, slightly shaking, and spoke. "Hi, Benjamin. My name is Anthony. I have the same schedule as you, mostly, and I'll be helping you around the school." He seemed to shrink into his oversized sweater as Ms. Ortiz handed me my schedule. I accepted it, my eyes never leaving Anthony, and we left the office.

Okay, so that was Benjamin's chapter. I had no idea what the heck to do, so I just introduced Anthony. Sorry if it sucks or if there were any grammatical errors. This was supposed to come out yesterday, but I had school and I fell asleep on my laptop. So sorry about that.
I'm actually proud of how this is turning out so far! (Watch me screw up the next chapter because I'm single af and have no idea how the hell to write small talk-Spoiler alert lolol)
The chapter title sucks lolol I just came up with it as I was writing this paragraph legit this paragraph was supposed to be all like "Oh I'm sorry about the totally irrelevant title name it's a placeholder until I figure out a better one" Then I'm like, "OH!" Then I, you know, changed some stuff around. Shoutout to my friends irl who are reading this rn. (I'm talking to you @basic_dalia) Thank you for proofreading my shit and legit giving me the cold hard truth about my (in my opinion) shitty writing skills. Love you! ^3^
So that's all for now folks.
