The dark night beckoned her, "Leave all your troubles behind. Let the lullaby of new moon put you to eternal sleep, under the twinkling gaze of stars."

Whispers of the night were interrupted by a kid's voice, "Mumma, where are you? I am hungry."

She sighed and discarded the sleeping pills in her hand. Yes, the canvas of her life was overshadowed by the dark clouds of an abusive husband, financial problems and many other issues. But there was the golden glow of her children's love too .

She left the deadly night behind to embrace the dawn of life.
