"This hospital is driving me mad!"

"only two more days left Alenna!"

Jack and I are sitting on the hospital floor, I am trying to teach him how to braid.. he is hopeless.

"So is it over then under then grab something?"

"hahaha come on your knotting my hair again!"

"Aww sorry... am I hurting you?"

I spin around and shove him so he is lying on the ground. Our eyes catch for a moment then I look away and stand up.

"Sorry" he says.

I brush my hands on my jeans and reach for a hair brush.

"OW! What did you do to my hair!" I yell in Jacks direction.

He falls back into the armchair. I walk over to him and sit down on the arm of the chair. His eyes flutter for a moment then close completely. I run over to him.

"Jack?" I hold my hand up to his forehead.

"Just Kidding!" His eyes blink open as he laughs.

"Don't do that! You scared me". I slap him and sit back on the bed.

I look back at Jack expecting him to be coming to be looking at me but instead he is looking at the door. I hear the familiar hiss of the opening door as it slides back to reveal Professor Megan. I look back at Jack to find he is next to me,

"your reaction times are getting faster" I whisper to Jack referring to his protective side. He smiles and stands to move over to the chair so Megan can do her general assessment.

"Thanks Jack but that's not why I am here". We both turn and look at Megan and Dr Wang and another man who has joined her.

"We are here to move you Alenna and prepare you for your training", says Dr Wang. I glance at Jack, he is smiling at me looking like a proud father. I stifle a laugh.

"Its two days early though" I giggle.

"You recovered faster than usual" stated Dr Wang putting on an Australian accent.

We follow them out into a long hospital white hallway and into an elevator.

"I have forgotten what the sun looks like" I whispered to Jack. He giggles and starts to describe me. The elevator comes to a stop three levels above the hospital section, the steel doors open to reveal a room covered in black paint with jagged walls and random tables, cabinets, beds and chairs places around the room. Some were broken, some were massive and none of them matched, each piece was different to the other. The roof was covered with LED lights which gave the space an eerie glow. Megan sits down in the middle of the room alongside Dr Wang and another younger man so Jack and I followed. Megan was the first to break the silence;

"This is Behaviorist Sonic Ganfield, he along with Wang and I will be assisting in metal training, but first we need to clear up exactly what is going on. You need to forget everything that anyone has told you about america and the war with itself and the whole Phoenix TT etc... That is a cover story for as you know your father was listening and watching everything through you."

Dr Wang turns to Sonic

"How is she doing Sony?"

"Seems comfortable and coping with news seems unaffected so far."

I shiver, I know that voice but where? Jack touches my hand.

"You ok?"

I look up everyone is staring.

"Sorry what?"

"You ok Alenna?" asks Megan

Sonic's eyes are moving fast as if we were scanning me.

"She's had a disturbing recollection", he says still scanning me.

"It was triggered by my voice?" He questions looking me in the eyes this time.

"um... Have we met before?" Then it hits me...

*Flashback*

"You are here for one purpose and that is to die so we can prove to the world that we can rule over anyone and everyone, we shall then take ultimate control but that will not matter to you. You are going to live until 3:00 tomorrow then you have done your part."

"You.... you, were the voice of my death sentence"... I take a deep breath. Jack is gripping my hand hard, he is looking at me with concern. It wasn't real.... it wasn't real..

"Sorry it is still a little real for me".

"I knew it was too early", mumbled Sonic

"No, it's ok, I'm ok" I glance at Jack , he smiles back at me which instantly calms me.

Megan Glances at her watch then at the ceiling.

"Ok, lets continue. So all the names you have heard before the transplant are fake". I look at Jack and he smiles, I shake my head and laugh. "They are all very similar though", she points to Sonic his real name is Sonic but we must call him Sony, DR Wang's real name is Warren, My real name is Ryder and", she gestures at Jack.

"My real name is actually Jack but it's now been changed to Ryan and it's been decided with your permission that your name hence forth will be Ace". Ryan turns and smiles at me waiting for me to react

"Hmmm... Ace... Ace.. I like it" I look like an ace yeah, it suits me and no-one would would relate it to Alenna.

"Ok then Ace, on to the next lot of information. The war has nothing to do with America, it's Australia. Queensland, Western Australia, The Northern Territory and Victoria have united to take over New South Wales, Tasmania and South Australia as you may have noticed everyone you have met is Australian, we are against what is happening and are what is known as rebels, anti QWN whatever but our official name is The UA - Unites Australia, we are for a united Australia, the QWN wants to access everyone's blood as we said before there are two types of blood, blood of an earthling and blood of an animal... do you remember that?"

Ryan squeezes my hand as I turn to look at him. I raise my eyebrows and he nods then takes both my hands in his.

"The connection we have does have something to do with our blood, those who have both blood types can feel each other, their emotional connections are stronger and they can easily relate to each other, but be careful because it works both ways, take two extremes.. love and hate".

Ryan squeezes my hands as we hold our gazes until Megan clears her throat. I return my attention back to her letting go Ryan's hand and turn red.
