Honeybee POV

"What the heck is that?"

I turn to see several armoured men. They held shields and axes. Wait, they look a lot like the ones in the legends.

"It looks like some lizard mixed with a moth." One of the men said. I felt slightly offended. But I could care less.

With a swift movement, I grabbed the flower in my mouth and started flying home.

But the men did not give up. "Whatever that thing is, kill it!" A second one yelled as he started running after me.

The other men followed suit. Drones had no natural abilities or weapons. All we could do was run or fly away.

Besides, these armoured men can't reach me. They can't fly. All I need to do is fly fast enough to lose them.

But then I felt something hit me. I stop rushing and touch my head. I pulled out something sharp.

It had some sort of flint edge. It had a few hard feathers at the end. All these were connected by a thin piece of wood.

An arrow.

I look at the sky and froze in fear. I saw the winged men in our legends. They held bows and wore helmets.

I gathered my thoughts quickly as I shook my head and hurried on to fly away.

The armoured and winged men were communcating together. Maybe they too have never seen a Drone.

But that didn't matter. I needed to go back to Silkie. She was all that mattered. Nothing else.

I ignored the shouts and arrows shooting from behind me as I flew faster than ever. My wings made low buzzing noises.

"Its headed for the forest!" I heard someone shout. I shrugged it off. I needed to see Silkie more than ever now.

I then heard another voice. "Abbysius hagknes!" I felt something grab one of my legs.

It looked like a skeletal arm. I tried to get away but to no avail. I was pulled to the ground despite all my resistance.

I growled as I heard footsteps approach me. I locked my blue eyes with the humans. If you could even call them that.

There was some sort of skeleton with them. He held a staff and you could visibly see his heart.

I glared at all of them. I did something most Drones do. I got up and raised my frills and tail while hissing.

They seemed shocked but not for long. An armoured man moved closer. I backed away.

When he got close enough, I grabbed and hit him with my tail. I started choking him.

A winged man got ready his bow and aimed at me. But I growled and tightened my hold on my victim.

But the winged man rolled his eyes. "You actually think that guy is my friend? I don't care if he dies." He said.

At that, I growled and tightened my grip until the suffocating man lost his breath and died.

The skeleton was watching me. "What even are you?" He asked. I shut my mouth and looked away.

He growled and walked closer to me. I threatened him by glaring at his non existent eyes.

He didn't seem scared. He tried to touch me so I tried to bit his hand. The skeleton pulled away quickly.

He walked back to the others. They were talking about something but their voices were too quiet.

But I caught an armoured man smirking. When they finished speaking, they had a creepy look on their faces.

The armoured man walked towards me with his axe in his hands. I immediately knew what they were up to.

I growled and tried not to show any sign of fear. But it didn't work. The man raised his axe. I closed my eyes. This was it.

I felt a pain in my head as the armoured man brought down the axe. My vision slowly got blurry. Soon, I collapsed.

I look in the direction of the woods. I close my eyes for one last time. "I love you, Silkie." Were my last words.

Then, all I saw was black.

??? POV

I let the Juggerknight kill that lizard-moth thing. I did not know what it was, but it looked useless.

The Juggerknight looked at me. "So what now boss?" He asked. I looked at the dead body.

"Take it with me. I think I'll do some research about this creature." I replied. The Juggerknight nodded.

The Eclipsors looked at the forest. "Marrowkai, do you think there could be more of them?" One of them asked me.

I face the woods too. "That thing was looking at it before it died." I said. "I'll ask Medusa if she would allow a scout team to search the area."

The Eclipsors nodded. The Juggerknight was basically just trying to drag the dead body.

I sighed. I ignored them and made my way back to the castle. I looked at the corpse of the light yellow animal with blue eyes.

"I wonder what that is. But lets see how it can be a good addition to the Chaos Empire." I murmured.

So the Juggerknight dragged the body back to the castle for my 'research'.

Silkie POV

Its getting awfully late. I think the grey sky is getting darker. But mom still has not come back.

Maybe she had a hard time looking for food? Or she found something cool so its taking her a while to take it back.

But it is getting late. What if something bad happened to her? Did she get hurt? Is she suddenly sick in mid flight?

I wish I could find out for myself. But I was not allowed to leave the house or peek outside. Also, I had no wings yet so I couldn't fly in search for my mom.

I sighed and looked at the entrance of my home. I heard a gentle pitter patter sound coming from outside. It must be raining.

I yawned as I went to my leaf bed at the corner of the house. I soon closed my eyes and fell asleep.

But not without wondering where my mother could be.
