After Semi confessed to me, he started becoming more open-minded.
For starters, he began to slide my hand in his during our walks to the cafeteria.
I was not expecting that. So, the first time, I let out a yelp and almost fell backwards.
The second time, my lips tremble the entire time he held onto my hand, and I could barely see ahead of me. I was that nervous.
"You should see your face right now. You look like a big idiot." He had smirked, never failing to make fun of me whenever he got the opportunity.
I was going to take a long time to get used to it, that was for sure.
At the cultural festival, Hichimiya, indeed, got her say and forced the class representative to get me under her clutches. I was forced to sit at the reception in a pathetic costume that itched, made me feel hot, and wanted to cry.
Tendou was unsympathetic.
"Eita-kun, come check out our stall!" He yells, waving his hand around to get the blond's attention. I can feel my body spasm at the name, too afraid to turn around even when I hear his familiar voice at our doorstep.
"Greet your customers with a smile, Een-chan!" Chigusa, the class leader, says, pulling at my cheeks. Tendou leads the way to my desk, and I look up in horror at my soulmate, who stood with a couple other friends of his. His instant reaction is to burst out laughing, and I slam the table and let out a whine.
"Argh, just go away, Eita. The food here is bad." I say. Meanwhile, from behind the curtain partition, I can hear Aimee and Kanzaki, who were in charge of the cooking, yelling at me.
"I'll lead you guys to a free table," Kaizawa, has to say, standing up when she sees my lifeless expression. The group follows my friend to an empty table at the far corner of the class. During the middle of the embarrassing event, I am horrified when I see Semi whipping out his smartphone. He has the device pointed straight at me while I tried to hide my face.
Eita you stupid sadist! I mentally curse when I see him chuckling to himself before he turns to join his friends and eat.
Surprisingly, our class seemed to attract a lot of customers. I got too busy to keep my watch on my soulmate as I tried to jot down the sales. A while later, I see Semi and his friends standing up to take their leave.
Tendou and more of our classmates are hurrying to take the multiple orders from the customers, while at the entrance, Hichimiya and Remi, the ones with the loudest voices, were yelling like crazy to convince people to visit our stall.
The entire scene is hilarious, and I am smiling to myself when I feel a tap on my shoulder.
"When do you finish your shift?" Semi wants to know when I turn to face him.
I hold up three fingers, and he gives me a nod.
"I'll wait for you. And I didn't laugh at what you are wearing but at your expression." He says, chuckling a little.
Someone slaps Semi's back and he lets out a grumble at the pain, before turning around. A familiar face is grinning at us, and I recognise the face as Semi's friend, Hamada.
"Just tell her you're turned on, Eita." He yells, laughing his entire way after he leaves with that. When I look at my soulmate with wide eyes, he grimaces a little before he runs off, following his friend.
"I am not! You shut the fuck up!" I hear him yell, right before Kaizawa comes and take her seat beside me.
"I'm going to pretend I heard nothing." She smiles to herself, and I have to slap her head with my clipboard.
The shift comes to an end, and it doesn't take long for Hichimiya and Tendou to charge outside, to see who could win more games.
"Those two. I'm so glad things turned out well for them." Kanzaki giggles, while we change back to our casual clothing.
"Our soulmates are coming to visit us now, what are you up to, Een?" Aimee wants to know, running a hand through her long black hair.
"Semi-san said he's waiting for her," Kaizawa adds out of nowhere, and the suspicious looks I am receiving from my friends make me flush red before I hurry outside.
Really now, things were going out of hand.
As promised, Semi is waiting for me outside class, and the two of us walk to the top floor, neither of us knowing what to say to each other.
But when I see a stall that reads 'Win Anime Merch', I begin to scream.
"Eita, let's go there!" I yell, pointing at the stall. Semi squints his eyes as he reads the sign. He then shakes his head and points to the doorstep. "You're wearing glasses, are you still blind to not see what it says under the sign?"
When I glance back at the board, I see that there is something scribbled underneath the sign.
'Donate blood now and win lots of special goodies at discounts up to 80%!'
"That's fine!" I nod my head, flailing my arms in excitement. Semi looks at my actions with an amused expression on his face.
"Een, no."
"Come on! Let's go!" I turn to run inside. Before I could take three steps, Semi wraps both his arms around my waist from behind, and I immediately come to a halt.
"W-What are you doing?!"
"You are not doing that. You think I didn't notice that you didn't finish your breakfast today?" He wants to know. "I'm not letting you donate blood today."
"B-But merch!" I can't help but whine. When I try to wriggle free from him, his only tightens his hold.
"Stop moving so much, and just listen to me." He hisses. I feel a chill run down my spine when I feel his warm breath on my neck, and I let out a squeak.
"Eita, oh my god where are you touching me?!" I hiss back. Semi lets go of me instantly at that, raising both his hands while I turn to face him in shock.
"I swear I didn't touch that wait what Een shut up!" He was too shocked to say something that made sense, and he continues his mumbling while his eyebrows knot together to form a familiar furrow.
"You are not donating blood today."
"But Eita-"
"And if you really want that, I'll get it for you. You just have to ask, you idiot." He mutters, grabbing my wrist. In the shock of the moment, I let him drag me inside, where we sit outside the lineup.
"But... Why are you doing this? I'm totally fine, so you don't have to."
"Do you really have to question everything?" He wants to know, crossing his arms over his chest. "I want to do things to make you happy, and I think this would. So shut the fuck up and sit here."
And when he comes back while pressing a finger to the top of his hand, I stand up and blink up at him.
"It's in my shirt pocket." He has to say. I take out the piece of paper that was in his pocket, and I couldn't help myself. I find myself wrapping my arms around his neck, tackling him onto one of the seats and catching him by surprise.
"Thank you!"
His eyes were wide and his mouth was hung agape at my sudden action, and he says nothing while I run with the piece of paper in hand.
I couldn't remember the last time I had so much fun, at a cultural festival.

"Okay, you got me this," I say, setting my bags of merch on my desk. "But that does not give you the right to keep my picture. Delete it."
At the end of the day, we had multiple bags of goods in hand. Most of them belonged to me, and Semi offered to take the bags to my dorm room.
"No."
Semi was like a little kid when he wanted to argue. He had his arms crossed over his chest as he leant his back against the headboard of my bed. He had covered himself with my blanket, possibly in an attempt to stop me from snatching his phone away.
"It was embarrassing, please." I protest, storming up to my soulmate.
"No, Een. You looked good in it. Like, real good." He says when I try to tug the blanket off from him. "I'm not deleting that, I'd do anything else instead."
I could see that it was going nowhere; once he stuck to something, there was no changing his mind. I lean against the bedpost with a sigh, and it felt like he let his guard down when he throws half of the blanket over my face.
"Please."
"No, Een. Are you deaf in addition to blind?"
"I really just. Argh."
Semi laughs at my reaction, holding his palm out at me. This was his indirect way of saying that he wanted to hold hands with me, and even under the situation where I should have turned my head away... There was no way I could say no to that.
"Want me to tell you something, in return?" Semi asks. With curiosity bubbling in my head, I give him a nod.
"This better be worth it," I say. My soulmate has a soft smile on his face as his eyes focus on our feet that were sticking out of the blanket over us.
"Remember the dinner we went to, a couple weeks ago?" He asks. When I give him a nod, he closes his eyes tight, his hold on my hand tightening slightly.
"You wore high-heels, that day."
"You noticed that?"
"Yup. This might sound really weird, but that was the first thing I noticed." He lets me know, looking to his left, as if to hide his face from me.
"I mean, you're a girl, so of course you would wear heels occasionally. But, when I saw you wearing them..." His voice trails off, and I tilt my head, to see his face a bit. "It was kinda scary."
"Scary?"
When he turns to face me again, I move my head a little, shocked to see his face a little red while he pressed a finger on his nose.
"You were so, so beautiful that night."
That was the first time he complimented my appearance, and I feel slightly self-conscious as I tried to digest his words.
"I realised, for the first time, that I wouldn't be the only one who would think that, about you. And that makes me... uneasy."
"Eita..."
"It's so stupid but," He chuckles, while scratching the top of his head, "I even checked my wrist, to make sure you still were in love with me."
"Oh my gosh..." My eyes were starting to tear up as I blink them away, but it seemed like he wasn't done.
"But then, when I saw that my pattern was still the same... And then, when you waved at me and called my name, I couldn't help it, Een..." His voice becomes a little low, enough to make me have to lean a little closer to hear what he had to say.
"I couldn't help it. From that moment on, when I saw your face, I just had to. I had to believe that soulmates really are true... And that you are mine, Een."
"You... You really would just say everything, except point out saying that you love me, won't you?" I mumble, wiping my tear-stained cheeks. There is a little bit of silence as he watched me cry, before he spoke again.
"I don't care if you call me a sadist, but hey Een?"
"Mmm?" I respond, looking up to see his face.
"All those things you're feeling for me?" He asks, his brown eyes unwavering as he spoke, "This time, it's happening to me too."
"Please stop, this isn't good for my heart."
"You weak masochist." Semi chuckles, letting go of my hand. For a second, I feel distress when our contact breaks... but when he wraps his arm around my shoulder and pulls my head on his shoulder, I had no regrets.
I really, really loved Semi Eita.
