Semi would never admit it out loud to me, but he was an emotional mess when the week came to an end.
Shiratorizawa High School's boy's volleyball club had their farewell party for their third years, right after practice on Friday.
I had been informed about it, via a first-year in the team called Goshiki Tsutomu.
Goshiki - who was so precious that I had to add him to the list of people I wanted to protect - had let me know that it was a surprise party, and had asked for me and Hichimiya's aid, a few days ago.
Tendou and Semi looked like they wanted to cry, when the two, and the rest of the third years gave their final bows to the rest of the club members.
While Hichimiya and I stood on the balcony and watched the boys chat with their clubmates, and munch on the snacks that we, along with a few others made, we couldn't help but giggle. We had both had ups and downs with our soulmates, and yet, one thing never changed.
The fact that we would always be there for each other, no matter what. It was a profound moment when Hichimiya tackles me into a tight hug when Tendou glances up at us.
"I'm going to miss you so much, Een. Are you guys really going to move to Tokyo?"
"Yeah, we are."
"Are you going to be living together?" She wants to know. This question makes me sweat a little, since I had no idea what the answer was, myself. Semi had let me know this morning, that he wanted to speak to me about something important, after club today. And earlier, before he was on his way to the gym, I had overheard him talking to Takeru on the phone.
When I tell Hichimiya all of this, she has a big grin on her face.
"Well. We'll see. Satori and I plan to stay here."
Hichimiya then lets me know that they had already met each other's parents, and received blessings from both the sides. In fact, she laughs while telling me that Tendou's parents wanted him to get married already.
"Well, the two of you are so perfect together, so I'm sure we aren't the only ones who want you to."
"You have no idea how much I want to. But well, I'm happy now, so I just want to live this way till it's time for more, you know?" She rests her hands on the metal of the balcony, and I give her a nod. I could understand just how she felt.
An hour or so passes while we sat and munched on some leftover cookies we had made. We giggle when we see the boys huddling for pictures, and I could feel Semi glaring at me when he hears us laughing and taking videos for Snapchat.
"Ooo, looks like you're gonna get it ton-"
I have to elbow Hichimiya to stop her from muttering nonsense, when I saw one of the club members climbing up and walking up to us. Hichimiya raises an eyebrow, and we see Goshiki taking a seat beside me.
"Fujiwara-senpai. Can I talk to you about Semi-san?" He wants to know. I glance at Hichimiya before I turn to face him properly. When I give him a nod, he takes in a deep breath.
"Semi-san is going to Tokyo for college, right?"
"Yes."
"Is Semi-san also from Tokyo? Is that why he wants to go there?"
"I'm not sure of the exact reason why, but the college he is going to is a place he really, really wants to go to."
"Oh... That's really good then. He was really happy when he told me where he got in, but he seems very quiet lately. So I wanted to ask you if he was fine. Since you are dating him."
Goshiki was too adorable that I wanted to pinch his cheeks. I give him a nod, letting him know I'll ask Semi about it later on. The boy gives Hichimiya and I a wave, before he goes back downstairs.
"I want my first-born to be as adorable as Goshiki." Hichimiya mutters.
"I'm telling Satori that."
"Don't you dare."

Shiratorizawa's annual finals ended after the session today. The first and second years had homework outlines handed out by the end of class, while us, the third years, were left off from all school-related work.
All except Semi, Tendou, and the rest of the volleyball club members, but that wasn't important.
For dinner, Tendou had taken Hichimiya out. It was a belated celebration of their five-month anniversary, which they had to delay due to exams. The moment Aimee saw that Semi and I were the only ones sitting at our usual table, she started marching back away from us, taking Kaizawa and Kanzaki along with her as well.
"She is an idiot." Semi has to say.
"Oh well."
We eat our noodles in silence for a while. Halfway into finishing our food, he places his bowl of mochi on my tray. I glance up to see him pursing his lips a little while he dipped some of his seafood in soy sauce.
"Eat that. You didn't eat enough at lunch."
"Wow."
"Stop. When you say wow, it sounds less insulting than when Aimee does. So no."
After Semi finishes his food, he raises one leg over the other, resting his face on one hand while he glances at me.
"Stop looking at me when I'm eating."
"No."
"Eita, please."
"What did you and Tsutomu talk about?" He wants to know, putting both of his arms on the table. I raise an eyebrow in suspicion, watching the way he rests his head on his arms.
"Well, college stuff. Also, aren't you finishing your juice?" I ask, when I notice his half empty glass of juice.
"You have it. Are you okay with talking, here?"
"Oh. Sure. What did you want to talk about?"
"College stuff."
"Oh."
Semi closes his eyes, his mouth shaped like an 'O' while he exhales a little. Not knowing how else to respond, I pick up one of the three pieces of mochi inside the bowl.
"We're going to college together, next month."
"We are."
"We graduate in five days."
"Yes," I respond, offering him one of the desserts. he shakes his head, and I shrug, eating it as well.
"We move to Tokyo."
"Yup," I say. Semi raises an eyebrow, before he speaks next.
"We live in our dorms."
"Yeeeeah..."
"No, Een. That's not the answer I wanted from you."
"Oh."
Semi sits up straight, taking out a piece of paper from his pocket. I hurry to much the last bit of mochi while he unfolds the paper, placing it beside my tray so that the two of us could see what was written on it.
All I could see were numbers. There were little kanji scribbles on the left, and it takes me a moment to understand what it was.
"Apartment rental?" My voice echoes a little at the second bit. Semi points a finger to the figure at the end, which showed, from what I could make out, some comparisons.
"I did some math. About train fares and other travelling needs for the average Tokyo college student. What with the amount we spend on that, and how far both are houses are from the actual campus, this is the best solution."
"W-What are you saying?"
"And I'm not saying this because of just this, but, I genuinely want to do this. College is hectic. I don't want the next four years to go like the past year, where I barely get to see you except for during meals. So. If you are in, let's do this."
I gulp, my eyes landing back to the paper. The entire sheet had numbers and many calculations made, none of which made much sense to me. When I glance at Semi and blink at him, he sighs loudly.
"You want me to say it, right? Fine," He pauses, folding the sheet back and then looking at me, his face blank and expressionless.
"I'm asking you to move in with me when we graduate."
