Riku's visits started being frequent, after that.

It made me happy to see the smile on Takeru's face, when the two are sitting at the table in the living room, doing their homework. And my little brother would try to be as lowkey as possible while he stares at his boyfriend.

Semi would chuckle really loudly when he goes past them to get coffee refills for me once in a while, and Takeru would flush visibly red, leaving poor Riku wondering just what was wrong.

I was glad that Takeru had brought his friends over the other day, because it was only after then, that he felt comfortable in being himself with us. He had hesitated earlier in case he would make Semi and I feel uncomfortable, but now it was him that felt so while my soulmate and I tease him for being tomato red around Riku.

"Here," Semi hands me a cup of coffee, plopping onto the right side of the bed and lifting himself up with the weight of his elbows while he goes back to doing his Trigonometry assessments. "Are you almost done with your assignment, Een?"

I give my soulmate a nod, turning off my laptop and stretching a little. I wasn't sure how on Earth he got this talent, but Semi was really, really good at making coffee. For some reason, he knew exactly how much milk and sugar to add to my cup, and in fact, he was the one who takes charge with the coffee while we worked our shift at the cafe'.

"Yeah. Reiji and I found a strong thesis, and he said he'll do the first half of our research. Did you know, we're going to discuss the differences in phonetics that Japanese, Korean, and Chinese have when they speak English."

"So you're going to.. like, interview people?" He wants to know, placing his pencil in the middle of his textbook to mark his page. "Like, legit?"

"Yeah, why?"

"No offence, Een, but you don't sound like the kind of person who can approach people casually and ask for small interviews."

"Hey! I take my grades seriously, okay! And this is the reason why I have a communications class too."

My soulmate simply laughs at me, sitting up and closing his textbook before he looks at me.

"Sure. And then there's your Korean class that you're taking as extra credit, how do you even balance your time anymore?"

"I... I don't know." I can't help but let out a sigh in defeat. My schedule had become so jam-packed ever since week 2. I'd wake up at 7 every morning to have breakfast with Takeru and Semi, and when the two leave, I'd climb back into bed and sleep till 10.

And then, I'd wake up, help Yamato-san for a while before I do my assignments. And by then, Semi would come back home with lunch, and we'd eat before he goes to attend the rest of his classes, and I'd rush to get ready... And Semi would come to fetch me, and drop me off at college where I'd study till 6 pm. 6 pm, where he would pick me up and then we would go to do our 2-hour shift at Yamato-san's cafe.

By the time we come home, Takeru would have dinner ready for us, and we'd eat together, before we head off to bed.

"You think I don't know, but you stay up after I've fallen asleep, to read those fanfictions you love so much."

My eyes go wide as I blink at my soulmate, but apparently, he wasn't done.

"You even stay up till 5 am some days. Een, what the fuck."

"Hey, reading helps me write, okay? Why are you getting so salty?" I hiss, pouting when Semi approaches closer to me and takes a tight grip on my wrist.

"I'm salty because I barely get time anymore," He says, leaning close enough that our lips brush by each other's as he spoke, "To do this with you."

"W-What--"

My eyes shut tight when Semi closes the gap between our lips, his hand taking a handful of my hair while the other wraps around my waist, and I would have lost my balance and fallen down if he hadn't been holding me so tight.

"You look stupid." Semi laughs, using a toe to tap on his textbook.

"You are stupid."

"Anyways, Een," He responds, ignoring my remark, "Are you free this Saturday?"

If Semi had learned about me in the past year, then I had learned about him enough, too.

"What is it, Eita?"

Semi scrunches his nose a bit, hesitating a bit before he talks.

"Do you like, wanna go out and do shit with me?"

I have to try my best to not burst out laughing. "Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Een, what the fuck."

"Eita, are you blushing?"

"Een, fuck off and go out with me." He hisses, turning to face his textbook again. I see that he is almost done with his assignment, so I smile, getting off the bed and standing in front of him.

"Okay. Let's go on a date this Saturday. You and me."

Semi keeps a straight face while he nods, but when I make my way to exit the room, I can clearly see the small smile forming on his face. How Semi and I survived through all the troubles we had faced, I had no idea. A year back, I'd probably be crying in my room about some petty thing Semi did, but the amount of maturing on his own that my soulmate has done made me realise that I myself had done my own fair share of maturing, thanks to him.

I was so glad that my soulmate was Semi Eita.

When I wake up on Saturday morning, Semi is gone.

His side of the bed is still messy, I see his sock drawer had been ruffled a lot, and the floor of the washroom is still wet, showing that he had taken a shower before he left to wherever he had gone.

Much to my annoyance, his phone rests beside mine on the coffee table, and I make a mental note to punch my soulmate when he shows up.

But the thing is... He doesn't show up.

It's 7 pm and by now, I had called Semi's parents, and they had informed me that he hadn't paid them a visit since the last day we had gone for breakfast to their place two weeks ago.

"Where do you think he's off to?" Takeru asks, placing a cup of juice in front of me. He then resumes pacing around the living room, something he does when he's annoyed, and I shrug. I was sure that Semi wouldn't do something out of place without a good reason, but that doesn't lessen the small bubble of inferiority I feel because we're missing a date that he had suggested.

Takeru glances at me when I let out a heavy sigh. "Een, did you see who Semi talked to last before he left?"

The thought had never occurred to me, so I drag myself to our room, picking up his phone and typing in the password.

Never in my wildest dreams did I expect that the person Semi had last contacted was named 'Miyuzawa'.

"Aimee?" I scroll to read the text they exchanged, and the last message that Aimee had sent makes chills run down my spine.

'If you tell any of this to Een, I will kill you.'
