"I need to know so I can carry on"

I liked her picture and stared at it. Did she have a boyfriend? Did she get pregnant right after we broke up? Is it mine?

"Shawn?" Said Andrew as I looked at him and sighed. "I know you are worried about Rachel's post but everything is going to be okay." He told me.

"What if it's mine, Gerty? It's fucked up." I said to him.

"If it's yours then it's yours. Your parents will support you and we will support you." He said softly as I nodded and looked away.

I was lost and a mess. She drove me crazy by saying that she would call me back but never did, by her post instagram, by her call, by everything she did. She was haunting my mind without being by my side.

Alessia sat next to me and smiled. "You good man?" She asked seeing my face.

"Not really. I really need to go back to Canada, Alessia." I told her as her smile turned into a frown.

"For Rachel? Then talk to Andrew." She says softly. "I'm sure he will understand."

I shook my head. "He won't, I'm on tour." I said to her as she rolled her eyes.

"Try won't hurt, y'know?" She said before leaving the table.

I made my way to Andrew's room and knocked on it, a few minutes later he opened it and looked at me.

He sighed and let me come in. "What do you want, Shawn?" He asked

I looked away, too afraid to meet his strong gaze on me. "I wanna go back to Canada for a few days." I told him slowly.

He rubbed his face, a sign that he was nervous and mad. "And can I know why?" He said clearly unhappy at my demand.

"You already know why." I told him. "I need to know so I can carry on." I added quickly.

"I don't really understand why is it so important to you!" He exclaimed.

I finally looked at him and frowned. "Because, she is haunting me Andrew! She is always on my mind and I can't get her off it. I need to know if it's mine or not." I shoot. "And- I still love her and I know it's stupid but a part of me really hopes that she's still in love with me." I told him looking down, again.

"Try to talk to her right now and you will fly back to Canada after the Munich show, get it?" He said sternly as I nodded.

"Thank you so much, Andrew. It means a lot." I told him leaving the room and grabbed my phone.

You can do it, Shawn. Just dm her. Not a big deal.

"If our first child is a girl, I would love to name her Maeve." I told my girlfriend softly as she hummed.

"And why?" She asked quietly.

"I read somewhere that Maeve means 'the cause of great joy' and since it would be our first baby that means she will be our cause of great joy and it seems really lovely." I answered as she nodded.

"That's cute. I love that name." She grinned while I kissed her forehead.

I looked back at the messages hoping it wouldn't be a dream, she really named her Maeve. Her first child...Well, maybe our first child had this name. I spent twenty minutes looking for something to say to her but nothing came in my mind, I gave up and locked my phone.

"Man? Rehearsals in ten. You ready?" Asked Mike on the other side of the door.

I looked down at my outfit and shrugged. "Coming in one minute, man." I answered to him.

Before I left my room, I decided to send her a red heart emoji. I locked my phone and went in the lobby where everyone was waiting.

"Did you talk to her?" Asked Andrew out of nowhere.

"I did but I still don't know if it's mine." I told him honestly, he nodded and left me alone.

And for once, I couldn't wait to be back in Canada to see them.
