"Driven to Madness (MLP Fanfic)"

PROLOGUE

~Celestia's POV

Do you remember that special somepony I helped kill? The one that was always there to back up your mistakes? I had always been capable to destroy any enemy, but they did it for me. That's why I love her, Twilight. She was more loyal than her friends... her useless friends. I might have been a little rough around the edges but her very last letter she sent me...

'Dear Princess Celestia,

You should know that hope can never end. '

Hope... I needed it. I knew it was there but I guess I can't find it.

I have other subjects, but only one touched my heart. The one who listened and tried. The one I killed. The one who was suffering and I wasn't there to help... to tell her to move on. Instead I killed her!

I just miss her.

I miss her so much, I could kill for her back. I thought I was prepared for this. But not for killing her. Guilt really knots up my stomach now. Years since her death. Years since I murdered her. Ten years to be exact.

I slowly sat at the table Twilight, Luna, and I ate at. My hooves firmly set on the edge of the marble table.

"Good night huh?" Luna slowly ate some hay.

"Sure..." I answered, not looking up from my plate.

"You seem glum sis. Usually your on your third plate by now," Luna stuffed some more hay in her mouth.

Flashback

I was sitting there. Total darkness held position around me. Before me stood Twilight.

"You are worthless. Nopony kills a friend. Nopony but a worthless Princess," she scolded. I cowered into my hooves as she leaned closer. She smacked me then tore off my horn, sending pain to shoot through me like a bullet.

"You don't need that," she stood up, examining me. She ignored my pained screams.

She walked behind me and gripped my wings. My flesh and skin slowly ripped from my back. Feathers sprung from me as I yelled.

"Or these," she glared as my flowing mane turned to hair. My screaming still went on until I shot up from my bed leading to this moment. 

End flashback

"Sure..." I say one more time.
