Megan didn't even have to tell Michelle the next day at school. Everyone had already found out. Now she was surrounded by a bunch of fake people in gym class.
"Was he big and strong?"
"Did you see his face?"
"Did you kiss him?"
It was only first period, yet she was already annoyed by her fellow classmates. Usually it took until third period, but today was different.
"Okay," Peter walked up to the bleachers, sitting down next to her. "I think thats enough."
Everyone sighed and made comments, but they gave her the space she needed. "Let me guess, you're gonna ask stupid questions."
He quickly shook his head. "No! I just wanted to check to see if you're okay."
"Thanks, but I'm fine." But was she? Of course she didn't act like it never happened, she straight up couldn't. Kids were going to talk about this for the rest of the week. Maybe even for the rest of the year.
"Yo, Jackson!" Flash called, walking up to her. "You ask the Spidey guy-"
"Spider-Man." She spat.
"Whatever. Did you ask him about Parker?" He asked. Megan knew he would ask, all he wanted was to prove a point, and it wasn't going to work.
"Well, why would I? Hm?" Megan smirked.
"I- Um-"
"Did I fucking stutter? No. Do me a favor, hop off my dick." Flash was at a loss for words. He had never been put in his place before, especially by a girl.
When he walked away, Megan and Peter burst into laughter. "Meg, that was gold!"
Michelle joined the two. "What is?"
"You missed it, MJ. I put Flash in his place." She said, still laughing as she was talking.
"Dammit! I would kill to see that happen." Michelle whined. "In other news, sup Parker."
"Hey Michelle." Peter said awkwardly. "I gotta go back to Ned. I told him I would only be a minute, which clearly it's been more than that."
She softly waved, then Michelle sat down next to Megan. "I sense a crush."
Megan, surprised by her accusation, denies. "Peter?" She fake gagged. "Never!"
Michelle raised an eyebrow. "Then why are you so quick to deny?"
"Because it's gross!" She's known Peter since elementary school, the entire concept was kind of weird to her.
"You'll change your tune, Meg. I know it." Megan rolled her eyes at her, not hesitating to ignore any other word about Peter.

At lunch, Megan and Michelle were talking about their plans for homecoming, since it was coming up sooner than they thought.
"So," Michelle started. "We're definitely not wearing the same color dress like last year. That was a huge mistake, I'm telling you right now."
Megan nodded in agreement, getting not so great flashbacks of last year's dance and dress shopping with her mom a couple weeks ago. "Well, you better not be wearing purple, cause you already know that's my color."
"Don't even worry, my dress is yellow." They both took a sigh of relief, mainly because they didn't want to be mistaken as each other's dates again. "You took off work, right?"
"Already did in advance!" Of course she was able to have that night off, Sadie would've yelled at her son like there was no tomorrow if he had said no.
Michelle turned her attention to Peter and Ned, who were not far from them. As per usual, they were staring at Liz, admiring her undeniable beauty. "It's not gonna happen, loser!"
Peter rolled his eyes. "Whatever!"
"MJ, I think I'm the one sensing a crush here." She said, smirking.
"You wish! That would only take the tension off of you." Michelle scoffed.
Megan quickly changed the subject, not wanting to get outsmarted by her best friend. "Let me have your milk."
She sighed. "Only because I love you and you're my bestie."
"Now, let's talk post-homecoming plans. Wanna feast on shitty fast food?"
"You've just read my mind."

Immediately after school, Megan's mom picked her up, and drove her straight to work. After last nights events, her mom refused to let her walk alone.
"Sweetie, don't forget-"
"Keys are technically a weapon." She interrupted. "I know, mom."
Her mother frowned. "I should've known that your father and I working so many hours was a bad idea. I'm so sorry for letting you get into danger like that."
"It could've happened to anyone, I just so happened to be there." Megan was right about that, anyone could be a victim of that situation.
"Well, I changed my lunch to the time you get off from school so I can pick you up and make sure you're safe." Her mother said, placing her hand on her daughter's shoulder.
"You didn't have to." Megan quietly protested.
"You're my only child, I'd never forgive myself if you got majorly hurt." She said. "Now, go in there and "get this bread" as the kids say."
Megan couldn't help but laugh at her mother's attempts at being trendy. "Bye, love you."
"I love you too, now go before I get behind on my schedule." She nodded at her mother, and quickly got out of the car. Megan waved goodbye as she drove away, and immediately went into the diner.
When she walked in, there was no sign of Peter. Naomi, one of her coworkers, emerged from the employees only room.
"Where's Parker?" Megan questioned. Naomi shrugged, then Peter bursted through the door. "I'm right here!"
"On time? Interesting." Peter was never on time, ever. It was definitely a foreign concept for everyone that has had to work with him.
"And what about it?" He asked.
"It's just very unlike you." Megan replied.
Ned ran into the diner, clutching onto his laptop. "Peter!"
He immediately turned around, ignoring Megan. "Ned, what's up?"
Ned noticed Megan was there, and knew he had to be discreet. "We gotta sit down for this."
She suspected something, mainly because they're not secretive at all. "What are you guys up to?"
"Nothing!"

Megan was behind the counter, watching Michelle do her homework. She had been there for the past 2 hours, slowly but surely eating her food while furiously writing on her paper. "Is that for chemistry?"
Michelle nodded, setting down her pencil. "Yeah, this upcoming test is going to be the death of me."
"Tell me about it, I'm not even halfway through the review packet." She complained.
"You? Not being ahead?" It was sadly true, Megan was known to always have stuff done ahead of time, but working at the diner was a total killer.
Megan frowned. "I have until Friday!"
"Which means you're going to rush through the entire thing tonight, even though it's Wednesday." Of course Michelle was right on that, she knew exactly what Megan was going to do.
She sighed. "True. What time is it?"
"7:52." Michelle quickly replied.
"8 more minutes, thank god." Right after she said that, she saw her mom's car pull up outside the diner. "Why is she early?"
Michelle turned around. "Oh look, it's your mom."
"Yeah, earlier than she should be! She better not come- Oh my god, she's coming inside." Her mother didn't really know boundaries, and she practically acted like embarrassing her child was her job.
Megan noticed Peter laugh for a second, but he stopped once he saw her glare at him. "Sweetie! Oh, hi Michelle!"
"Hey, Mrs. Jackson." She said awkwardly, returning back to her homework, also trying to stay away from the embarrassment.
"I still have a few minutes left, mom." Megan stated.
"I can just wait here until you're done!" Clearly, her mom wasn't taking any hints, and wasn't going to leave. "That's your mom?"
"Parker-" Megan paused, she couldn't insult him in front of her mom. "Yes, Peter. This is my wonderful mother."
"You must be May Parker's nephew! Tell her-"
"Would you look at the time!" She interrupted. "I gotta clock out. I'll meet you in the car?"
"Fine. Tell May I said hello!" Her mom said, skipping out of the diner.
Megan felt relieved that she had a few extra moments of freedom. "Just plan my funeral now."
"No problem." Michelle giggled.
As Megan walked out of the diner, she heard Peter and Ned laugh as loud as possible, making sure she heard them. God, she absolutely couldn't stand them.
