002
While things remained the same at the diner, that wasn't the case around the city. Last night, there was a robbery at an ATM by Mr. Delmar's bodega. It was a shame that place was destroyed, she really enjoyed a sandwich from there every once in a while.
She didn't understand how she couldn't have heard it, mainly due to the fact she sees the unknown hero swing by her neighborhood almost every night. There was videos all over the internet showing Spider-Man stopping the robbery, and everyone at school was talking about it.
At gym class, Megan could overhear Liz Allan, the leader of the decathlon, and a few other students talk about the whole thing.
"Did you see the bank security cam
on YouTube? He fought off four guys." Liz said. They were having a not-so-friendly game of fuck, marry, kill, until Liz brought him up, which she was then accused of actually crushing on Spider-Man.
While Liz and her friends were talking about him and how he could be an old man with burned face, Ned yelled out of nowhere: "Peter knows Spider-Man!"
Megan almost fell off the bleachers hearing that. Are you fucking kidding me?
Clearly, Peter didn't want him blurting that to a bunch of his classmates, but Ned didn't have any regards of his secret. "No-"
"They're friends!" Ned announced. Peter smacked his best friend's arm, trying to make him shut up.
She knew she shouldn't be doing this, but Megan felt like she was getting second-hand embarrassment from the situation. "Um, Ned's right."
All eyes were on Megan, which she didn't enjoy. Peter took a sigh of relief, he was so lucky that she was helping him. "Peter talks about the Stark internship all the time when he's working at Sadie's diner."
Liz had her eyes on Peter, smiling at him. "Hard working, I like that."
"Hmm, maybe you should invite him to Liz's party. Right?" Flash said, smirking.
"Uh, yeah! I'm having people over tonight. Anyone's invited, really. Even you can come, Megan, was it?" She was somewhat offended Liz didn't know her name, but since when does such a popular girl take the time to remember everyone?
She nodded. "Yeah."
"You should totally invite your personal friend Spider-Man."
Liz sighed. "It's okay. I know Peter's way too busy for parties anyway, so-"
"Come on. He'll be there." Flash said, nudging Peter as he walked past him. "Right, Parker?"
Peter didn't say a word, he honestly didn't know what to say. Flash was practically his enemy, and he didn't really have the time for his shit.
At the end of class, Megan walked up to Peter and Ned, violently tapping Peter on the shoulder. "You owe me big time."
"How do I owe you?" Peter asked.
"Thanks to your little nerd friend-"
"Hey!"
"-you would've suffered from some major embarrassment, and I just so happened to save your ass. Also, you're not exactly slick in hiding your crush on Liz." Michelle and Megan would catch Peter staring at her during lunch, and of course Michelle wouldn't hesitate to call him a loser.
"How do you know that?" The only other person that knew was Ned, he wasn't ever vocal about it to anyone else.
"You stare at her at lunch-"
"Okay, I get it! I owe you. See you at the party, Meg." She didn't plan on going to the party, but did she have a choice? It was a Friday, so she had the entire weekend to do all her homework. Plus, she had nothing better to do anyway.

"God, why am I here?" Megan whined. She was currently in the car with Michelle, right in front of Liz's driveway.
"Because this is shit us teenagers do." Michelle said, while putting her car in park. "Look, there's Peter and- Wait, why is Ned wearing such an ugly hat?"
"I guess it's a fashion statement." She shrugged. "Let's go inside."
They were immediately greeted by Liz, and they quickly found a way to the food table "I can't believe you're at this lame party."
Peter and Ned turned their attention to Michelle, looking confused. "But you're here too."
"Am I?" She said, taking a bite of whatever she was eating.
Megan rolled her eyes. "MJ, stop trying to act mysterious, it's not working."
"Who said I was?" She winked.
"You're doing it again!"
"We're just gonna go..." Ned said awkwardly, slowly walking away.
"Sorry! Nice hat though!" Megan yelled over the music.
"Oh, thanks! It gives me confidence!"
They didn't see Peter for the rest of night. Megan noticed he had a habit of disappearing, so she starting to think something was up.
While Peter was out trying to stop the Vulture's henchmen from selling illegal weapons, everyone else was having a blast at the party.
For once, Megan was actually having fun. These days she was so focused on school and work, she never gave herself the time to take a break, and this was exactly what she needed. Even when Michelle would come over for a sleepover, they would end up doing some type of studying or schoolwork.
While the two friends were out in the backyard by the pool, they noticed Ned by himself like a lost puppy.
Megan decided to walk up to him, and seeing what was up. "You good?"
"Huh? Yeah! I'm fine." Ned replied, looking around frantically for Peter.
"Do you know where Peter went, Ned? He kind of just like... disappeared." She asked.
He couldn't mess up again, he knew Peter probably would've beat the shit out of him. And considering that Ned knows his identity as Spider-Man, he didn't want that to happen, ever. "He's uh, going to fetch his good ol friend Spider-Man!"
"Right..." Megan raises an eyebrow. "Talk to you later, I guess."
It was starting to get late, yet the night was still young. She returned back to Michelle, confused from the short-lived conversation she had with Ned.
Back inside the house, Flash was being the DJ, and he was definitely the worst DJ alive. "When I say "penis," you say "Parker." Penis!"
"Parker!"
"Penis!"
"Parker!"
Michelle joined in on the chanting, and Megan slapped her arm. "MJ!"
"What? Flash is actually being funny for once." She was right though, he was never known to be funny.

"Thanks for driving me home." Megan said to Michelle.
Michelle looked confused. "I picked you up."
"Oops. Anyways, see ya Monday!" She got out of the car, and started heading towards her house.
It was late, around midnight to be exact, and she definitely broke her curfew. She promised her mom she'd be home by 11 at the latest, yet here she was an hour late.
When she got inside, she was surprised to not see her mom and dad sitting in the living room. Megan expected to get in trouble, but she assumed her parents didn't feel like waiting for her.
Without wasting time, she went immediately to bed, not bothering to change into her pajamas.
