"But who could it be?" Death asked calmly. Geno shrugged and looked at death as if he could find the answer on his face.

"I don't know...." geno said and rested his chin in his hand, "it couldn't have been a monster village, the monster kingdom doesn't have any contact with any of them. So there's no way they could've known and intervened in the war."

"Do you think it could have been rebels from the kingdom?" Death asked, geno shook his head.

"No, we don't have any rebels in the monster kingdom. I don't think they had any reason to rebel against it, but you said that a lot of vampires died when they attacked right?" Geno asked and pointed to death.
Death nodded and closed his eyes.

"Then no, it would have to be BOSS monsters that could've wiped out a large amount of vampires. But boss monsters a very uncommon, so if you add the numbers of an average small army," geno counted his fingers and his voice trailed off, "So that would be 250 soldiers counting the monster who aren't very compatible with magic and the amount of vampires, there would have to be - 210 BOSS monsters in order to defeat that many vampires."

Deaths eyes were as wide as they could get, "you did all that in your head?"

"Yeah," geno shrugged it off as If it was nothing and continued to talk, "there's no way it could've been rebels with BOSS monsters. Not that many are born in the same century. Plus most BOSS monsters were sent to the second day of the war were I fought, there were only 3 BOSSES in total."

Geno looked at death with a unsure look, "could it have been one of those creatures that attacked us?"

Death raised an ' eyebrow ' and looked at geno, "no they dont have magic and they don't look anything close to a monster. Those monsters we fought must have been pretty tough for a regular monster. They had this strategy that got us stuck in a Fight."

"A fight?" Geno asked and turned to death, "what do you mean by that?"

Death sat up straight and moved his hands around in an attempt to explain.
"I'm not sure, but there was this ringing and the next thing I knew everything was dark and these boxes floated in front of me...I'm really not sure how to explain it."

"Oh..." geno said as he finally got it, he stood up and motioned for death to the same.
"Was it like this?"

The familiar three rings rung through deaths ears as everything turned black.
A box appeared with four smaller ones under it.
Those were labeled Fight, Act, Item and Mercy.

The big box had a few words written in it that death couldn't understand.

"Yeah," death said calmly, "this is the thing they did."

Geno nodded and hit the mercy button.

Death mimicked his movements and spared geno.

You won! You earned 0 XP and 0 gold!

Then everything turned back to normal, death sat back down on the ground and geno did as well.

"So," geno said, "what are you going to do? Since monsters can only bring you into a fight it has to be from the kingdom at least."

Death shrugged, completely unsure at what to do next, "I mean, what can we do? We're already hiding from the monster kingdom, and I definitely have no plans on going through another war."

Geno nodded and looked back to the orphanage, he saw the kids heading back inside to eat.
"It's not exactly a good idea to stay and do nothing either." Geno said honestly, death nodded in total agreement.

"I'm honestly just running this place without a real plan." Death blurted out, he scratched his head feeling frustrated
"Our food supplies are getting lower, more vampires are dying off and we can't just repopulate. No one wants a child to be born in a place like this."

"Is there anymore places you could stay like this?" Geno asked, he rolled up his sleeves and began messing with the grass, "maybe a place with more of an area to make food or just a safe place to stay?"

Death shook his head sadly, "no, the forests' land has always been dead, so no crops can be made there. We were lucky that we found this place under the mountain with soil and water. And we can't just leave anymore, if there's monsters hunting us I'm not going to risk the lives of what's left of us."

"Then what can you do?" Geno asked sadly. Death stayed quiet for a few moments and laid on his back on the grass. Geno stayed sitting waiting for his answer.

"I don't know." Death said honestly, "unless we can find a way to make a peace treaty with them were out of luck."

"And that's not going to work because the moment they see a vampire they'll try and kill you." Geno said in a pissed off voice, he didn't even realize he was ripping the grass roughly.

"I honestly don't see how it got to this point, geno." Death sighed, "ever since the humans attacked out of fear the monster kingdom became hostile and paranoid yet a kind place. But it seemed to have broken off the friendly peace we had with them. And then out of nowhere monster became violent and cruel to us without a reason. I honestly still don't know why."

"........." geno stared at death, trying to make up his mind. There was a few minutes of silence before geno looked away from death.
"It's because the Kings children died."

Death opened his eyes and waited for geno to continue, mostly because he didn't know what to say.

"Remember when I told you that B-back a few years after the human race died, the king had two children. One was his first born son, and the other was his adopted human child chara." Geno explained, he kept his voice steady but it didn't prevent the ball forming in his throat.
"Since things got shaky with vampires and monsters we avoided you. But chara, they wanted to make peace with your race. They were already angry at humans for attacking monsters without a real reason than fear, so they didn't want that to happen again with your race."

"What happened after that?" Death asked, geno shrugged sadly.

"They died, a vampire killed them." Geno said, more words started to fall from his mouth without him thinking, "And they killed his son too, Asriel. After that, the king and queen became devastated, Toriel spent more time in the library trying to keep herself distracted. As for Asgore, he chose to be angry. His actions became reckless, his personality completely changed from a good king to a angered one."

"Then," geno sighed and rolled down his sleeves, "Asgore began to influence monster to start violence against vampires. It became so bad that you guys started to hide away even more, Queen Toriel was revolted with his actions and left. Never heard or seen from again."

"And I assume him hearing that we attacked a monster without reason was the last straw," death said in a remorseful tone, he played with a small dandelion near him. Brushing the tips of the pedals.
"And that started the war."

Geno nodded, feeling a bit ashamed that he was apart of it. Death paid no attention, no one decided to speak anyway. They were too busy in the it own worlds, but the presences of each other comforted them.

Thud

Crash

A scream of pain and few branches snapping in half echoed In the forest. A loud crash was heard and silence took over.

"...son of a bitch!" A female voice gasped, she sat up from the hard ground she fell on. She dusted off her purple shirt and looked up at the tall wall of land in front of her.
Very slightly you could hear some small sounds of laughter above. This made the female scowl and get up. She could feel blood trickling down her cheek, it wasn't a big cut, just a scratch.

"Well!" She screamed, "if you're gonna throw me down here at least give me my backpack!!"

Five seconds pass by till she heard the sound of something falling. Quickly, she moved to her left, avoiding the falling object.

With a loud thud her backpack fell to the ground. She rushed over to inspect it, her hands dug in the bag desperately.
"Hey!" She shouted again, "there's no map!  How am I supposed to get to HQ!?"

Nothing but silence was heard in response, the female growled and cursed to herself. She forcefully grabbed the backpack and swung it over her shoulder. She took a deep breath, trying not to feel pissed off.

That didn't work.

She looked to the forest, the fog seemed thicker than before, "You've been busy, huh." She said, she gripped her backpack and walked, " Let's just go Sule."

Lol everyone's favorite bitch is back and she's gonna fuck shit up lol.

I can hear the words "burn her" from my house lol.

Lol, but wait -

I made sule so she's technically mine.

Lol I kept thinking that she belonged to someone else but okay!
