Death and geno went their separate ways through the Castel after death gave him directions to the great hall which was mostly know as the ball room.

Death couldn't help but feel happy that geno could possibly be a possible friend.

Once geno left to the great hall death immediately went back to his office. He rang a bell that went all the way down to the service quarters.

In about a minute a black bat swooped up and through the blue opening and reformed into a bunny vampire.

"Yes Leader?" The bunny asked, death walked over to the small desk and pulled out a paper and pencil and handed it to the bunny.

"Write a letter to yellow district and tell Nim that I need to speak with her in three hours. Write not to worry its just a quick resource check and some talking me and her need to do." Death said.

The bunny nodded and wrote it all down, then the bunny grabbed both of deaths hand and shook them.

"Be safe and be invisible." Death looked at them seriously.

"I plan too," the bunny smiled and flew off to the exit.

Death raced down the steps of the tower back to the hallways. Each step echoed through the castle, once he passed all the hallways he went down some huge stairs that led to a huge ball room.

The ball room was filled with noise vampires and a few monsters. Children ran on the marble floors, others had tables placed there to eat.

Deaths eye danced through the ballroom looking for gerson.  He couldn't see him at first through all the vampires and monsters but then he found him where most of the kids were.

Death walked over there as carefully as he could but still tripped and stumbled through the vampires and monsters.

A few minutes later after stumbling through the crowed, death finally made to greson.

He carried a small tabled to the corner of the room where some kids followed.

Death saw geno a few feet away talking to some of the kids and laughing.

He gave a kind wave to geno when he saw death looking over.

Geno noticed him and gave a small smiled and waved back before he was taken away by a few energetic kids and swallowed within the crowed.

Death chuckled a bit and walked over to gerson. Gerson stood taking a breather from taking stuff all over the castle. He looked around for a few seconds before turning around.

He smiled when he saw death, "looks likes someone's healed. But I bet most of the bruises were from walking over here huh?" Gerson teased.

Death's face got a small bit blue, death looked away, "I wanted to ask you something," death said embarrassed.

"Hm?" Gerson asked, holding back from embarrassing death even more.

"Yesterday you said something about Dr. Kim, right?" Death asked in a hushed tone. Even though a the noise in the ball room drowned out every sound, death still talked in a paranoid tone.

"Mhm," Gerson nodded, "he actually came by a few hours ago telling me to tell you when you wake up for me and you to head to the medical center to his lab. He had something he wanted to show us about the pink goo he found-"

A loud crash sent them both jumping, they saw some shattered glass and kids running away.
A few kids were fighting over who's strongest and broke a vase.
They saw geno grab a few smaller kids away from the fight as other monster and vampires backed away.

Death groaned, "that was my favorite vase too....."

"On second thought," Gerson said in annoyed sigh and started to speed walk to the kids, "go on without me, geno might need some help."

Death nodded, a bit glum that his favorite vase broke. He made his way past his broken vase that was being cleaned by the few staff he had around.

Two soldiers that stood out of the front gate and immediately opened and moved away from the gate as soon as death came to view.

Death nodded politely and went through the gates to the main village. When something attacks the village everyone here has to evacuate to the castle, though some stayed in their houses.
The main village was really close to the castle, so death doesn't have to worry about the ones living here.

Death waved to a few that stood outside their laws watering the plants or talking.

Death quickly transformed into his bat form and flew above the houses. His wings glided over the roofs and people.
When he finally made it to the medical center a doctor was already waiting for him.

The nervous looking duck monster tapped at her clipboard nervously as she looked around.
Her eyes fell on death and relief showed through her eyes.

She rushed up to him and grabbed his arm. Death tripped slightly as they both started walk fast through the medical center.
They bumped into people and knocked over a few things in their fast pace.

"Leader, hurry." She said nervously, "you're gonna want to see this."

Death felt himself get more and more nervous as they went deeper in the medical center.
They walked down a few long halls for a few minutes before stopping to a door.
The duck lady quickly took out a pair of silver keys and unlocked it.
Once the door was unlocked death was met with darkness. Very slightly he could see stairs leading down into the basement or as Dr. Kim calls his lab.

Already have been down there a couple of times death walked in first and down the stairs.
The more he walked down, more white light started to shine.

Computers and lights blasted in deaths eye as he made it down to the final step.

The duck lady followed behind him but wedged her way through to be in front.
"Where's Dr. Kim?" She asked, she walked over to where some tabled where set in the brightly lit room. A few papers where all to be seen but she didn't pay attention to that.

"Leader, stay here I'll go find him," The lady said and ran off to another room.

Death walked over to the tables where a few papers were laid out.
Death looked at them closely, a few words were written on it, but it was enough for death to cover them and hide them in his robe.
He quickly looked over to where the sound of running feet where coming from.

The lady soon came back running with Dr. Kim who was ahead of her.
"Nancy!" Dr. Kim called to the lady as they ran, "go into that one room and bring me the papers with the pink highlight on it!"

The lady nodded and quickly walked into the room near the computers.

Dr. Kim quickly walked up to death who had a scowl on his face.
"You left Project L.R. papers here in the open." death said very seriously that sounded like a growl.
Dr. Kim's eyes widened a bit and whispered to death.
"She didn't see what was written down did she?" Dr. Kim Said Nervously as he looked over his shoulder.

Death shook his head and whispered back a bit more calmly, "it wouldn't have mattered that much anyway, she can't read as well as you can. But be more careful, we got lucky I recognized a few words."

Dr. Kim nodded and let out a sigh, "its been stressful, sorry."

Death put a hand on the bird's shoulder and smiled, "don't be, you're working hard and I appreciate that."

Dr. Kim smiled and scratched his head, but before he could say anything Nancy ran back out of the room and to them.
She quickly handed a folder with a line with the front highlighted pink. Dr. Kim eagerly took the folders from her hands and opened it.

"Back to what we were saying - thank you Nancy but I'll speak to death alone about this," Dr. Kim said as he turned to the computers.

Nancy nodded and left, once she was gone death took out the papers he was hiding and placed them on the desk then followed Dr. Kim to the computers.

"You've seen the pink goo we found in yours and geno's wound right?" Dr. Kim said as he typed letters onto the screen.

"Regrettably," death cringed, "Yes."

Dr. Kim gave a slight chuckle as he typed, "Well I ran test after test on it and it came with the same results. I honestly don't think you'll believe me when I show you. Heck, I don't even believe it."

"What is it?" Death asked and tried to look at the papers but didn't recognize any words, "is it some sort of poison to the mind or something?"

"I guess you could say that," Dr. Kim answered,  "But that's not all."

"How about we get the smaller kids to your room geno?" Gerson suggested. Geno nodded and started to walk behind some of the smaller kids who were already making their way to his room even before greson suggested it.

"I guess we're stuck on entertaining them," Gerson huffed as they made it up the last step of the stairs, "not it,"

Geno perked up, "no fair," he whined but didn't say anything else.

"What else is there?" Death asked a bit worried.

"I'm not sure how exactly it effects vampires but I gave myself a small does of it." Dr. Kim shivered, the computer turned to another screen which showed the results of the goo.

Both death and Dr. Kim glued their eyes to the screen as Dr. Kim pointed at some of the results.

"Geno!" One of the kids bounced as they all sat on the ground of the room.
Gerson sat at the corner of the room resting and watching them play.

"Mm?" Geno said as he sat down.

"You can do magic right?" They asked and jumped excitedly.

"Yeah," geno said but quickly looked at them, "why?"

"Do you know any tricks?" Mini asked behind him.

"Tricks....mm, I think I remembered a few," geno said, trying to recall the tricks he learned from when his dad would entertain him and papyrus on a boring day.
"Oh!" Geno said as he stood up, "I remember one, just sit so I can do it."

"If you look here," Dr. Kim said pointing at the screen, " it says 'mixed pattern' that usually when magic and medicine is mixed together."

"So someone tampered with medicine?" Death asked getting a little bit impatient.

"No, not exactly," Dr. Kim answered and scrolled down, "look, my computer couldn't detect whether the second pattern was medicine. So I had it take away the magic pattern and it reviled this."

"Blockers?" Death asked only recognizing one word, "what is that?"

"That's what one of the effects are," Dr. Kim said more anxiously, "its what I used to use when I worked in the monster kingdom. When monsters would get really ill, I would have to eject blockers. It numbs the monsters magic to refrain them from making themselves weaker."

"Now look at the two colors on the screen," Dr. Kim said nervously.

Death took a good look at it and raised an ' eyebrow ' at Dr. Kim.

"All I see is orange and red," death answered.

Dr. Kim took a deep breath, "as you know, monster magic is represented through the color purple. And vampire magic is represented with the color blue, correct?"

Death nodded and continued to listen.

"The magic here is orange, no other species have the color orange." Dr. Kim said, "and as you know, the other species with the color red is humans."

Death gawked, "your not serious are you?"

Dr. Kim shrugged, "I am serious, and unidentified species magic mixed with human determination!"

"But how exactly is that possible?" Death argued back, "How can magic from a species that doesn't exist mix with the determination with a race that is extinct and create this!?"

"I don't know!" Dr. Kim said getting more stressed, "That's what I've been trying to figure out!"

Death looked to see Dr. Kim's feathers all ruffled up and raised his hands in a surrendering motion, "ok," he said calmly, "Let's talk about something else, you said you tried this on yourself right? What happened?"

Dr. Kim took few deep breaths calming his nerves, "when I first tried it nothing happened, so I waited a bit till I tried to do magic."

"And what happened then?" Death asked.

"For me," dr. Kim shivered, "the results were a bit unbearable....."

"This is gonna be cool!" Some of the kids whispered excitedly.

Geno stood in front of them with a small smile. "If I remembered it correctly it goes like this," geno put his fingers in a snapping motioned a got ready to do magic.

*snap*

Geno's mind fuzzed up as all he could hear was buzzing, soon after that his eye started to flair and glow as pain started to stab through his skull.

Geno couldn't tell what was going on, all he felt was pain in his skull and shoulder. He couldn't even scream, he felt the ground shaking as the kids started running to gerson for help.

He felt something drip from his eye socket, but it wasn't his tears.
Geno tried to move but his body wouldn't budge. Not until geno felt arms wrap around his neck he felt most of his senses come back.

The second after, geno collapsed to the floor in a hazard of glitches that glitched his whole body.

"So I really don't think it's a good idea for you to use the little magic you have." Dr. Kim suggested as they both walked up the stairs, "who knows what it could do to you."

"But all you felt was a burning pain," death said and opened the door, "What's the worse that could happen to a vampire?"

"I don't know," dr. Kim answered truthfully, "But I don't want to risk it! Remember vampires have less physical and magical matter than monsters and humans. So I think it's safe to stay away from magic for a while."

Death nodded, "Alright, I'll be careful. But what about geno?"

Dr. Kim's eyes widened and ran ahead, "I think we're a bit too late!"

"Shit," death cursed and ran ahead to them. Dr. Kim and death almost collided into each other as they came to a halt in front of geno.

Immediately Dr. Kim asked, "did he use magic!?"

Greson nodded, "yes," he replied as calmly as he could get. Geno looked at greson to give him a comforting smile but he grunted in pain.

"I'm f-fine," geno said catching his breath that he had somehow lost. Most of the pain went away, his body just felt like jelly.

"Not until you sit down your not," dr. Kim said and opened a door to a room. Greson and geno shuffled into the room, death and Dr. Kim followed behind.

Gerson led geno to a chair near by and set him down.
"There," Gerson huffed and sat on the other chair near him.

Dr. Kim walked over to a drawer and pulled out some pieces of cloth.
"Here" Dr. Kim said as he handed the pieces of cloth to geno, "clean your eye."

Geno took the pieces of cloth, thankful he could get the pink stuff off of him.
He looked over a gerson who had a worried expression, "Gerson I'm fine," Geno smiled and tried to reassure him.

"I know, I know," Gerson waved, "does it hurt though?"

Geno shook his head, "it only hurt until we got here."

Gerson nodded and looked at Dr. Kim, "So what was it that you wanted to show us?"

Dr. Kim opened his mouth to say something but closed it and looked at geno then death.

Death caught his glance and nodded, "geno can hear it, he's got it too."

Dr. Kim nodded and spoke, "the results I've gotten from the pink goo are.....unbelievable."

"What do you mean?" Gerson said and crossed his arms.

"From what I first found out," Dr. Kim explained, "the goo had blockers."

"You mean the thing that numbs a monsters magic?" Geno asked and shivered, he remembered he'd gotten blockers once when he got extremely ill. It was such and weird and awful experience he didn't wish to go through again.

Dr. Kim nodded and leaned on a desk nearby, "yeah, but that wasn't it. There was a mixed pattern in it, meaning monster magic mixed with medicine. When I separated the two I had two different colors on the screen."

Dr .Kim looked directly at geno, "as you know monster magic is represented through the color purple, and vampire magic blue." Dr. Kim mimicked the conversation he had with death earlier.

"One of the colors were orange," dr. Kim sighed and rubbed his shoulders, "I know, crazy. No other creature has the orange magic representative, but that's not all."

"What else is there?" Gerson said standing up.

"The other color was red," dr .Kim's face darkened, "the humans magic color representative."

"What!?" Geno said a bit too loudly, "But - but how?"

"I, I don't know," Dr. Kim groaned and brushed his feathers back, "this is all very confusing and very very stressful. I'm not really sure what's going on."

"What time is it?" death finally spoke, Dr. Kim looked at his watch.
"Almost three."

"I have to get going," death explained, "I scheduled a meeting with yellow district and I must not be late."

"Yellow district?" Geno asked curiously.

"Yes," death smiled and didn't say another word as he exited the room.

"Hm," geno hummed and looked at dr. Kim, "what about further reports? Have you tried to separate the two components by magical matter to see what that magic is and what race it belongs too, and if the red color is actually a human magic trait?"

Dr. Kim gave an exhausted laugh and stretched, "That's what I'm going to do tomorrow, it's more work to the pile I guess." Dr. Kim laughed.

Gerson scratched his chin and closed his eyes to think for a second, "do you think...." He paused, "that the human race isn't extinct?"

"That'd be impossible," dr. Kim thought for a second, "the monsters bombed all their territory and blocked out all their hiding places. There's no way any humans survived that"

"That's......not entirely true," geno whispered.

"Huh?" Gerson said and looked at geno, "what do you mean?"

"I..had a....friend." geno explained, "they were adopted by the king and queen when they were just a baby. They were human."

Both gerson and Dr. Kim's eyes widened, "there was a human left?" They both asked.

"Yeah," geno said and looked down to his boots, "They were one of my best friends, and their soul was red. One of the rare type, they would always go on and on about bringing peace with other races." Geno chuckled and how enthusiastic chara would sound when they said what was on their mind.

"Red," dr.Kim said and took mental notes, "that could explain it...if-"

"No," geno sighed and looked up, "they're dead."

Both gerson and Dr. Kim turned to geno, they both had a pitiful expression in their faces.

"Geno," Gerson said with a sad expression, "I'm sorry....how did they...pass?"

Geno looked back down on his boots and closed his eye, "I just wish it would've been more painless and quick when it happened."

Geno baby I'm so sorry I always pick on u don't i?
Lol, I promise I'll make it up to u geno.

Also u guys must be like "the romance is happening!!♡♡"

Geno: I'm kinda chill with the death leader guy now but I still wanna leave this place.

Death: eh, he's okay but I'll leave him alone.

That's basically it, lol. Also sorry if a few drawings look a bit cringy, I didn't have enough time to do them lol.

I was scrolling through tumblr and I found a tag that said "LifeAfterDeath" and it was a ship between geno death and life and I though it was so cute!!♡♡

Now I hardly and r a r e l y ship anything. And afterdeath was one of the few things I shipped here but T H I S is so cute!!!

LifeAfterDeath, I kinda want to make a story of it tbh.....♡........

I admit I already created some bit of the story in my head...............no regrets lol.
