One ending in dust
Blood.
The sent filled the air, and of course, she could smell it. She stayed limp on the ground, trying to figure out where the hell she was and how the hell she got here.
She listened quietly to the sounds in the room, hearing very distant talking from the other side of the room. Then, there was footsteps, coming close to her, she stayed limp and didn't tense as the footsteps got closer, but they simply went past her, the sound of a door closing was heard.
Now it was quiet.
She stayed still and limp, almost lifeless, she stayed like that for a couple of minutes listening for any sounds of life in the room before slowly opening her eyes.
Nim looked around the empty room slowly, taking it in. As she got a better look when she sat up she realized she was in an old throne room, it almost looked abandoned. There was a mark of where the throne must have been, now covered with dirt and dry leaves. She looked to the walls and saw cracks and small chunks missing from it, though it hardly gave her any sight of the outside. The paint on the walls looked old and dirty, the bright gold and yellow seemed to turn into an ugly brown and grey combination.
Nim shook her head and tried to move her hands but felt them tied behind her back, she sighed quietly and began moving her wrist around to get herself free while thinking of what happened before she ended up here.
She remembered she got an urgent message from her Higher ups, she went out of the district with them to check out what was wrong and then….
Snap
Nim winced and pulled her wrist out of the rope and snapped it back into place, letting out a small grunt.
She slowly stood up, wincing as she felt a sharp pain on her head, she rubbed the injured part and looked around calmly.
And then she finally realized where the smell of blood came from. Nim looked down to her hands and saw her claws drenched with it, she blinked and thought this was from trying to defend herself from whatever attacked, but Where she's at, means it didn't end well.
Nim sighed and felt around her cloak for her weapon, once she didn't find it she gave off a small growl of annoyance before turning her head to the door. She honestly didn't like how this was going, they left her alone in this room, without anyone watching her, did they want her to go through the doors?
Well, whoever they are.
Should she wait? Honestly, she had no clue of what to do. There could be god knows what behind the door waiting for her.
“....Oh fuck it.” Nim hissed and walked to the door quietly, “If I die, it was a good run.” she sighed and grabbed the handle of the door, noticing the design was one of a rattlesnake before opening the door as quietly as possible.
Once she checked that no one was waiting for her outside she walked through to a small hallway, in the same condition as the throne room if not worse. She stayed alert and made sure to pay attention to any sounds or movements around her or nearby.
She spent a few minutes walking through the hallway in complete silence, she also took note of anything that could get her outside as she did.
After a while longer she stumbled upon another door, she sighed then took a deep breath before grabbing the handle and opening it. She checked once more and walked into what seemed like a ball room, in much better condition than the other room.
“Oh, Nim, what a pleasant surprise!” A voice echoed in the room.
Nim jumped and instantly got into a fighting stance, the door behind her shut quickly making her heart race as she scanned over the entire room, when she saw nothing she only grew more cautious.
“I have to admit, it was a much more of a struggle to bring you here then i thought.” the voice continued.
“Show yourself and I'll give you a struggle.” Nim hissed under her breath as she continued to look around the room but found nothing.
“Now, Now, Relax you're not dead yet.”
“Key word, Yet.” Nim hissed, beginning to feel like the voice is possibly coming from her head after she looked everywhere in the entire room and saw no one, “Why am I here?”
There was quiet for a few minutes, Nim stayed completely still as she listened and her eyes scanned all over the room.
The sudden sound of rattling made he snap her head to the noise, but in an instant, she jumped back completely surprised before the sight before her.
“Oh come on, it's not like I'm going to attack.” A large silver rattlesnake said as he looked down to Nim who watched him with a shocked expression. This thing was almost as big as the entire room and nearly as tall as the ceiling, making Nim look like an ant in comparison.
Nim calmed herself, she wasn't going to be intimidated by this oversized sock noodle.
“Who are you?” she asked as she looked up to the rattlesnake.
“Oh, my apologies.” The Snake said, his tail rattled a small bit as he slithered around Nim, “Many here call me Headmaster.” he hissed happily.
“Headmaster, huh?” Nim huffed and crossed her arms, her eyes staying on the snake, “Questions of the day, Why am I here? And most importantly, how did you find me?”
Headmaster stopped in front of her, looking down to the lizard, “It was quite easy honestly, all I had to do was cause a little problem near your district, and you would come.” Headmaster chimed and looked to Nim, “And I know Yellow’s Leader is full of all kind of secrets.”
Nim blinked and looked up to Headmaster with a blank expression before walking over to a small chair nearby. She fixed her cloak before sitting down and looking to Headmaster, “Congratulations!” Nim huffed, “You caught me, Yellow District's Leader in all her glowing glory! But what gives you the thought that i would EVER give information about my district to you? I'll die with a smile before I do.” Nim snarled.
Headmaster only rattled his tail, the huge rattlesnake circling around Nim like a hawk. Nim kept her eyes locked onto him, staying tense as the silence was a bit unnerving.
“I know you're not going to tell me, and in fact, I don't need you to tell me anything.” Heatmaster hissed and rattled his tail, “I already know everything about your district.”
Nim huffed and crossed her arms, “Yeah ri-"
“You became leader right before this whole war broke out, good friends with the last leader of red. Oh. And I believe you had a child, two in fact, though I believe one is dead.” Headmaster stated in a hissing tone, “Your district isn't too far from red, hidden within rows and rows of long trees.”
Nim began to feel nervous, but calmed down, her eyes staying on the snake, “And what the hell is your point, why are you telling me this?” Nim snarled.
“It's quite entertaining to see you frightened for the well being if your district.”
“Fucking Psychopath!!!” Nim yelled, nearly going to attack Headmaster, but clearly it wouldn't be her best idea to do so.
Nim growled quietly to herself and remained calm, “You still haven't answered my question, why. Am. I. Here.”
“Clearly I'm going to kill you.” Headmaster said in a slight cheery voice, stopping in front if Nim.
Nim felt her heart starting to beat a bit faster, but stared at headmaster with a glare, “Then what's with all the monologuing, Get on with it!”
“Now, Now, Nim don't sound so eager.” Headmaster said and rattled his tail, “You seem ready to leave your district alone when I'm ready to destroy it.”
“I don't need to worry about my District.” Nim muttered under her breath.
“Because you believe Death will be able to handle it, No?”
Nim flinched, “How do you k-"
“Nim, I thought we already established I knew things.” Headmaster chimed and rattled his tail, “You do realize he'll fail, he's not cut out to be a leader, unlike you.”
“You're wrong.” Nim hissed, “You have no idea what he is capable of.”
“Really? Do tell me cause I'm sure what I've seen must be very different to what you know.” Headmaster said as he started to circle around Nim again.
“I'd rather die than tell you anything!!” Nim yelled, just wishing this entire thing will end as she glared daggers at the snake.
Headmaster stopped in front of her once more, instead of his silver scales shining through the light, they turned into black sharp scales, as if one look could cut you in half.
“So you would die for your district then live and tell me one thing.” Headmaster stated.
“Oh, Headmaster, I thought we already established that.” Nim cooed, but her voice was laced with pure venom and hate.
There was a moment of silence as headmaster stared down at Nim.
“Very well, this conversation was getting boring.”

“Honestly, I can't comprehend why you even bother.”
“You could've saved them all if you just stopped.”
“Perhaps even us..”
“Why are you still reading..?”
“Wow.”

“Well. You asked for it.”
“Don't blame me when they get the ending they all deserve.”
