"I am not going in there," geno told Alphys and undyne in hushed voices.

"G-geno, hun, he's t-the k-king, I'm so-sorry but you can't re-refuse. It's the l-law." Alphys whispered back.

"And I'm going to go in with you, it'll be okay, bud." Undyne said.

Geno stayed quiet when the guards appeared, "the Kings ready."

Undyne nodded and gave Alphys a kiss, "Well meet you back at the house?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, let's go, bud." Undyne said as she wrapped an arm around his shoulder.

They walked through the palace halls where the guards led them to the throne room.
When the two doors opened it revealed Asgore talking to another skeleton with an honor badge sewed onto the purple uniform.

She looked oddly familiar to geno.

Asgore soon noticed them come in and smiled, "geno, undyne. Thank you for coming."

"Not like we had a choice." Geno said under his breath which made undyne elbow him on his side.

"You've requested us for an urgent request, Sire?" Undyne said, Asgore nodded and sat down in his throne.
He nodded and got straight to the point.
"As you've known undyne, missing reports have been going through the roof around the north and east. As my duty as king I cannot ignore my people missing at an alarming rate." Asgore sighed and rubbed his forehead, "So me and Sule have been having meetings about forming a scout. To search out the areas where most people have been reported missing."

"Sule?" Geno asked, he wasn't really paying attention.

A skeleton smiled and walked next to Asgore. She wore a purple uniform black jeans and boots. Her skull had a crack near her empty eye sockets. Her other working one was the color yellow.

"This is sule," Asgore said, "she's the one who saved you in the war. The third survivor."

Geno's and undyne's eyes widen in shock and they stared at the smiling skeleton. Sule then walked Over to geno and held out her hand.

"It's nice to finally meet you, geno." Sule said, she and geno shook hands.

"Y-you're the one who saved me!?" Geno said in disbelief.

"Just in time too," she laughed.

"Ahem," Asgore coughed and everyone turned their attention to him. "Sule please continue the conversation we had,"

"Yes." Sule obeyed, her tone completely changed from sweet to general like "We're making a scout, as Asgore said, and you are required to join-"

"You can't do that!" Undyne shouted.

"Excuse me?" Sule said raising her non existence eyebrow.

"Asgore! You just made a law that monsters under the age of 25 can't join any military forces! The scout is apart of it! Geno's only 19!" Undyne yelled.

"SILENCE!" Asgore hollered,  but undyne wouldn't give up geno had to hold undyne back from going up in Asgore's face. But it was difficult for him too, the word around him was going dark, his soul was beating faster than Alphys would have liked, and his breathing was too fast and not enough air was going through him even though he didn't need it.

"He is required to go, he's the only other one who knew the war strategies!" Sule began to defend Asgore.

"He is in no condition to be put back there! We both know what's in the east and north. I am not sending him there!" Undyne scream so loud that Guards were starting to run into the room. Geno didn't even notice, his mind has gone completely blank.

The guards started to grab onto undyne to stop her from getting any closer to Asgore. Geno just stood there with a blank look and soulless eyes. Fear has overcome his body.

"He is joining the scout, and you will not tell me otherwise!" Asgore said, "take them back, I expect geno to have his things packed. He will be leaving with the north scout in the morning. You will not disobey."

And with that the guards dragged a screaming undyne and a silent geno out of the castle.
"Well be at your house tomorrow," the guards spoke and left geno and undyne there.

"You fuckers!!" Undyne screamed and turned to geno,"Oh my god, bud."

She pulled him into a hug and looked at him, "geno, bud! Look at me."

Geno didn't speak but he obeyed.

"Listen, bud. Me and Alphys are going to talk, we're going to find a way how to fix this okay?" Undyne said cupping geno's cheek, "I'm going to call grilby and tell him you can't go into today. When we go home I want you to go to the shower then bed. I want you to rest while me and Alphys work things out. Okay?"

Geno nodded and walked side by side with undyne.

"Let's go home."

....

When they got back Alphys was there, she saw the look on their faces and quickly ran up to them.

"What ha-happened?" Alphys asked nervously.

Undyne gave geno a gentle shove and he went to the bathroom, undyne continued to stay quiet till she heard the water run.

She collapsed to the ground in sobs, "They want him to join a scout! I told him that he was too young!"

"Oh my g-g-god, you guys di-didn't get a say in it!?" Alphys said helping undyne to the table where she got her a glass of water.

"No, but I tried to tell him that geno is only 19 and he didn't listen." Undyne said.

"But h-he can't do th-that! He's betraying his o-o-own law!" Alphys argued.

"But he knows that! But his only reason he wants him is because he knows all the war strategies!" Undyne cried, "he can't join a scout, not just because of the dangers of running into a vampire. You know how it was, I've told you this. The way they make the scouts "stronger" is awful!"

"I know u-undyne, I'll fi-fix it. I have special a-authority to e-enter the kingdom at a-any time. So in t-the morning I'll t-talk to him." Alphys said comforting.

"There's no point in that." Undyne sighed, "they're coming In the morning to take him."

Alphys gasped and took a moment before she spoke again, "But w-what about his m-mental condition!? You know h-how he reacts to an-any sound that's close to gu-gunshots. Not to even mention h-he can't hear th-the word vampires wi-without having a panic a-attack!"

"What are we going to do," Undyne said wiping her tears, "we can't just leave. Our life just got better! Back then we had to worry about if the bills were going to get paid, how we struggled to feed three mouths. Not to mention the coast of the equipment we needed for geno."

"What ca-can we do, if w-we do no-nothing it'll be a de-death sentence for g-geno, Mentally. And if we do l-leave we'll be as good as d-dead, the king will d-declare us a tr-traitors and we w-won't be we-welcomed an-anywhere"  Alphys said.

"I honestly don't know Alphys, we have six hours to figure this out" Undyne said sadly.

Geno stood in his room, he had some thinking to do. He nerves calmed down so now he was ready to think about the situation he was in.

Just a few hours away he will be taken and sent to the north scout.

He honestly did think about running away, but that will lead to undyne and Alphys being set back into poverty by Asgore. They'll definitely have an extremely long time before they even get back on their feet.

But how was he going to do this, he can't go to the north without having a mental breakdown.

"Plus I'm a fucking walking blood drive, I'll definitely attract........them." Geno said out loud, "did that excuse of a king look over that fucking detail!?"

Rage was starting to pour in his soul, he calmed himself down once more and looked at himself in the mirror.
"All i have to do is scout right? It'll be okay right?"

Geno sighed, if he agrees or doesn't agree he's still going to have to go. But Out if nowhere geno became determined to go, he's just going to have to be there for a few days.

He proudly started to pack his stuff, he knew his plan was a coward plan, but he's being forced to go so he feels like he has the right to go through with this plan.
Alphys is the only one who knows how to treat both of his conditions. All he has to do is fake pain and he'll be sent home to Alphys, it is the one law not even King Asgore can break.

"Take that Assgore." Geno said and he put his clothes into a suitcase and looked himself in the mirror one more time, "It's just going to be a few days so they don't get suspicious. You can do it!"

It was four in the morning, Alphys and undyne were still talking in the kitchen when geno walked in.
"Bud," Undyne said "What are you doing up so early?"

"I'm going to the scout," geno said immediately, both undyne and Alphys looked at him in disbelief.

"I'll be okay, I promise." Geno says trying to comfort them.

"Geno," both of them said, but they knew there was no use and took geno into a hug.

He whispered, "don't worry, I'll come home in a few days, okay"

They both nodded still not letting go.

"H-here," Alphys said digging out a small box from her pocket "It's l-like a walkie-talkie b-but it doesn't look like it. Tho I di-did put the sy-symbol of the guards j-just in case they f-find it, they can't t-take it away. He-here well be a-able to t-talk just in c-case you need me."

Geno took the walkie-talkie and thanked her.
"Here," Undyne said taking a small red handkerchief from her wrist, "it was your brothers, It'll give you good luck. Here your age is still considered a teenager, other places your a full adult but we'll work on a way to bring you back earlier."

"Thank you guys so much, for everything, for taking me in and being like parents to me." Geno smiled as he put the walkie-talkie in his pocket and tied the handkerchief around his wrist.

"Let's all go to bed, we only have a few hours, bud."

......

Geno's alarm screamed at him to wake up. And when he did there was already a knocking at the door.
He quickly got changed into his regular, dark green wool long sleeve with navy green jeans and black combat boots. And papyrus's handkerchief.

When he went answer the door, the guards were there.
"You have five minutes to say goodbye."

When he turned around Alphys and undyne were already behind him.
They all took a big hug before looking at each other.
"Geno ta-take care of y-yourself-" Alphys said.
"Or I'll kick your ass." Undyne says nearly to tears.

"Times up, go get your things." The guard order, so geno did.

As they all walked out Alphys and undyne stood in the front of the house watching him go.

Geno gave one last wave of goodbye as he headed off to the north scout.
