TYLER BLACK
I wore my wristwatch and pulled my black coat up to my shoulder. Straightening my posture I gazed at myself in front of the mirror.
Brown hair, blue eyes and a cut on my left eyebrow. When I was satisfied with how I looked, I went to my main foyer. As I descended the stairs, I saw my parent's photo hanging at the end of the staircase.
The only photo of them. Onyx and Clara Black.
Shaking away the flashes of my past, I concentrated on my present. I made my way to the main door which automatically opened as I pressed my thumb on the electronic lock. I passed a grin to the gardeners before making my way to the car.
My driver, Benjamin Fredrick was standing with his hand holding the passenger door open. "Hello, Mr Black."
"Hello to you too, Benjamin," I said whilst seating myself comfortably.
He closed the door and made his way to the driver's seat and began the car.
Tall buildings were what covered most of the city. It was developed enough to reject poverty but not enough to overthrow the hierarchy of riches amongst themselves. We, humans, are truly messed up.
'We're not human!' A voice held in my head. It was the same voice that had been yelling in my head ever since I was eighteen. I tried for consulting a psychiatrist but it didn't end up quite well. I practically damaged the doctor's entire career by breaking his entire room.
To calm myself down, I have assumed it to be my subconscious thoughts. I didn't get a chance to ask my parents as I lost them when I was ten years old.
'I'm not your subconscious, I'm Braxton, your other soul! '
'Could you please stop growling?' I asked, growing frustrated. He acts more like a brat. Guess what? He got a perfect name there.
"Mr Black, we are here."
I got down from the car and strode inside my company with a smile on my face. My employees returned my smile and welcomed me before continuing their work.
The lift opened as soon as I pressed its button. Stepping inside, I clicked the floor which had the letter 'T' imprinted on it. Once, it reached my floor the glass door slid open.
I made my way straight to my office door and opened it before walking to my seat. A gentle smile lit up my face when I read the news of the day in the newspaper that was kept on my table.
'CEO Tyler Black establishes a new orphanage at the eastern towns of the country.'
I heard the door of my room opening with a click.
"Good morning, Mr Black." My personal assistant, Mr Clark greeted me with a nervous smile. He was a man in his 50s. Though I was twenty-five years old, he always respected my decisions.
"Morning, Mr Clark. Why can I see a nervous smile dimming your eyes?"
He fiddled with his coat and breathed out a sigh, "I-I'm--" he stuttered and stared at me with sad eyes. "Nothing, Mr Black."
I shook my head and got up from my seat. "You've been a fatherly figure from the day you joined here." I stood in front of him. "You can tell me anything."
A tear rolled down his eye. "My boy, I'm suffering from inguinal hernia. The hospital asked me to get myself charged by tonight."
I hummed. "Why didn't you tell me?"
"I felt it be not an important matter and dismissed it." More tears rolled down his eyes.
I dropped his hand and looked straight at me. "Do you need any help?"
He shook his head. "That won't be necessary." He handed me a letter. A frown etched on my face.
"I'll get your resignation documents, Mr Clark," I replied nonchalantly. Though I was worried he was going away after working here for so long. "Receive it from Mrs Larson by the evening."
He nodded and muttered a quick thank you and left the room.
'Ha! You have to find a new assistant now.' That irritating voice spoke in my head making me hiss at it.
'You shouting in my head is hurting my fuck--freaking brain cells.'
I have promised myself to not utter profanities for this entire year. Why? Well, after a weird incident, I have taken an oath to never curse.
I thought back to what that voice said about finding a new personal assistant.
A sigh escaped my lips as I thought about a way to find out. Maybe I can call someone who wants to be a P.A and train them for the future?
I stared out of the glass window and shook my head.
If that male or female wasn't experienced then it'll be a trouble for me.
'They will try to prove themselves to be better if we take an inexperienced individual.'
I was about to scream in my mind but stopped when that brat's thinking was right. He has always made me take the right decisions which were one of the reasons I'm said to be a well-established CEO.
Being a CEO at a younger age was difficult for me but after five years of continuous smart work, I was standing where I was today and all thanks to the brat in my head.
'Hey! I ain't a brat, I'm Brax.'
Oh, right.
Taking my phone, I quickly called one of my senior employees and asked them to send me the newly applied individuals' records.
A knock on the door reached my ears. "Come," I shortly requested.
A lady in her early thirties came with a thick file in her hands. "Good morning, Mr Black."
"Morning, Mrs Nick." She placed the file on my table which settled down with a thud.
'This is gotta be interesting.'
'I agree with you.'
We sarcastically whispered to one another in my head.

A/N
This chapter is short as it's just an introduction. I have decided to introduce all the three characters before continuing in the P.O.V of the female protagonist.
If you find any element missing in this chapter, do tell me!
Bye!
