With blurry vision, Janus' eyes crack open, and he notices Logan sitting on the edge of the bed, phone pressed to his ear. The past few days have gone by wonderfully slow. Logan spoiled him with the trip to the toy store, dinners, movie nights, games, and the list goes on and on. Janus had never felt so loved in his life. However, with the harsh, hushed voice of his caregiver talking over the phone, Janus' stomach dropped in dread. He didn't want anything going wrong, he wanted everything to stay wonderful, but of course, the peace never lasts.

"I don't care about her," Logan bluntly replies to the person over the phone. His apathy didn't shock Janus honestly. While towards Janus, Logan is lighthearted, gentle, and loving, with strangers, he comes across as cold and unforgiving, which is precisely why he works in business. His lack of empathy leaves difficult decisions up to him.

He could hear a muffled, distant yelling over the phone. Curiously, he watched Logan's fist clench at his side. "She has done nothing for any of us, she's a drug addict with no self-respect. Ask Lily, or Lane perhaps? Maybe they'll help you grasp the truth," He says, before shaking his head. "I've had enough of her selfishness, call me again when you're finished sucking up to her." He snips, interrupting the voice before abruptly ending the phone call. With shaky breaths, he ran a hand through his hair.

Carefully, Janus crawled forward, wrapping his arms around his caregiver, causing him to jump. He craned his neck around, sighing in relief as it was only Janus. "Good morning Janus," He murmurs, his tone softening at his presence. "I apologize if you heard any of that."

"Who was it?" Janus asks curiously, nuzzling at the other's neck.

With a sigh, Logan turns, tugging his lover onto his lap, lightly stroking his hair. "It's nothing to worry for."

Raising an eyebrow, Janus' head tilted up. "Well, now I'm worried."

Shaking his head, Logan rests his head on top of his. "May we speak about it later?" He asks softly.

Studying his expression, Janus nods after a moment. "Do you need anything?"

Nodding, Logan kisses Janus' head. "I need to take care of my baby snake, are you wet?"

Shaking his head, Janus nuzzles at the other. "I'm not feeling very little."

"That wasn't my question."

Rolling his eyes, Janus pulled away. "I know, but I'm dry," He insists.

"Are you positive? You usually wake up wet."

"Do you want me to prove it or is this an excuse to have me strip for you?"

Raising an eyebrow, Logan hums. "I don't need an excuse to have you strip for me, you'd do it whether I asked or not, now wouldn't you?" He asks, seeming quite arrogant, especially as the question managed to make Janus blush.

"Touché."

Chuckling, Logan presses his lips against the other's head. "I would suggest you change out of the diaper, however, your regression is unpredictable, it may prove to be a mistake to have you change," Logan explains.

"Well," Janus huffs. "I'm changing my clothes at least."

"Go ahead," Logan says, nudging him. Climbing off Logan's lap, Janus shuffles through their closet, tugging out a black hoodie and basketball shorts, his cheeks burning as the padding around his waist crinkled obnoxiously, at least in his ears. Logan could barely hear it.

"I'll meet you in the kitchen, what would you like to do today?"

Thinking for a moment, Janus hums. "Let's stay home today, the last few days we've gone out quite a few times, I feel guilty for having you spend so much," Janus admits, frowning.

Mirroring his expression, Logan shakes his head. "Janus, please do not feel remorseful, I enjoy spending money on you. Yes, money is tight at times, but there are times that I find myself financially comfortable. These last few days were that."

"I know," Janus sighs. "But," He begins, biting his lip. "I'm getting better! I could get a job-"

"Janus," Soothes Logan, walking over to him. "I want you to acquire a job when you're ready, not when you believe you need to, which you don't." He explains. "If you don't feel prepared, then don't get one."

"That's not how life works, you turn eighteen and you're on your own, you're an adult now-"

"But you're not on your own," Logan reassures, pulling the man into a hug. "You have me, and I have you. Yes? I'm your partner, I have zero qualms in providing for you financially until you find yourself able."

Biting his lip, Janus nods against his chest. Leaning up, he pressed his lips against Logan's, to which he gladly accepts. The kiss is slow, soft, and filled with love. It's longer than most of their recent kisses, yet, it holds no lust, merely passion and romance.

Once they release their kiss, they're slightly out of breath. Logan smiles softly, pulling away. "Get dressed little snake."

Blushing, Janus glares playfully. "Don't put me in little space."

Feigning an innocent look, Logan shakes his head. "Who me? Putting you into such a headspace? Now I would never."

Janus snickers. "Sarcasm is my department, Logan."

Pushing his glasses up, Logan sends a cheeky grin. "Then I suppose you'll have to work harder to keep your department."

As the day rolls on, Janus-unsurprisingly-falls into little space. It's an older one, about seven. He's sitting on the couch, his tongue stuck out in concentration as he scans his seven cards, putting two matches down.

"Do you have a panda?"

Logan glances over his cards, shaking hus head. "Go fish."

Janus laughs. "You don't like fishing!"

Smiling, Logan shakes his head. "Luckily, it's merely pretending."

"We should have fishing poles!" Janus exclaims, plucking a card from the pile, grinning brightly as he acquired a new pair, setting it down as well. "I'm winning!" He cheers.

"I don't think we should use fishing poles indoors," Logan explains, staring at his cards. "And for now, you are."

"It's your turn!"

"I know little snake-"

"I'm not little right now!" Complains Janus, jutting out his bottom lip. "I'm this many!" He adds, holding up seven fingers to prove his point, setting his cards down momentarily.

Rolling his eyes playfully, Logan clears his throat. "Do you have a gecko?"

Picking his cards up again, Janus shakes his head, very much lying. When little, he rarely plays by the rules, not that changes much when big as well, he enjoys swindling others.

Sighing, Logan plucks another card from the deck and finally sets down a match.

"Do you have a Lion?" Janus asks.

"I'm afraid not, however, I might be mistaken. Tell me, what does a lion sound like again?" Logan asks, he tends to do this often, mostly because it's absolutely adorable.

With pink cheeks, Janus squirms slightly. "Rawr," He mumbles, fiddling with his cards.

"I'm afraid I didn't hear you," Logan insists, chuckling after. "One more time?"

"Rawr!" He squeaks louder, growling playfully.

"What a scary lion," Logan muses. "But yes, I'm missing the card. Go fish."

Fishing as told, Janus plucks up a new card.

"Do you have a rhino?" Logan asks, looking over his cards. Janus had to have something.

"Nuh-uh," He denies, sticking his tongue out playfully.

Shooting a playful glare, Logan grumbles as he swipes another card up.

"Do you have a gecko?" Janus asks innocently, watching as Logan raises an eyebrow.

"I hope you aren't cheating Janus if you are then..." Logan pauses for suspense, succeeding as Janus leans in, wondering what would happen. "You'll have to face the wrath of the figurative tickle monster!" He exclaims, leaping forward. Janus squealed, desperately trying to leap away, giggling up a storm as Logan wiggles his fingers against his ticklish areas.

"Nooohoohooo!"

"My apologies Janus! The tickle monster can't hear over all this laughter!"

Janus shrieked and squealed, despite his protests, he quite enjoys being tickled. He's pinned down, laughing loudly, the sound bouncing joyously off the walls and echoing throughout their house. Unfortunately, their tickle session is cut short by a boisterous knock at their door.

Logan has mercy, glancing up curiously while Janus is left to wither in his giggles, breathing heavily as Logan climbs off of him, heading for the door. He carefully tugged it open, his eyes widening at the sight before him.

"Landon?!"
