"...Any moment now the gems will do that thing where they fly in the air and come back better than ever!" Greg said taking pearl's gem which glew as soon as he touched it. "See?"h started bur Intrupted him

"Wait... I have a feeling something's wrong" I told him as a holographic shell formed around it.

"Please state your name" pearl's gem told us.

"Um... Greg Universe?" Greg questioned.

"Please state your prefured custom options." We all looked at each other me being the most worried.

"Default." I quickly said.

"Default setting selected" Pearls gem flew towards away from us to another spot before the she come out of the holographic shell, in her old uniform...

"Pearl! Are you-" steven started but pearl looked around and walked over to Greg.

"How do you do, my um greg universe, thank you for being me into the world welcome to your new pearl" she sang. The three of us looked at each other.

"WHATS GOING ON?!" Steven and Greg shouted. I just took a step back why is this so familiar to me?

Y/n took a step back fear in her eyes. "Y/n do you know what's going on?!" I asked. Y/n shook her head just looking at pearl. She knows something, I'll find out what it is. Ruby's gem glew and she reformed. "Ruby! are- are you OK?"

"AH! Who are you? Youre not my assignment!" She shouted Y/n looked at them and took a few more steps away from them.

"I could really use an explanation here" Greg said.

"allow me to illuminate! a ruby guard. but just a single one they come in groups of three or more," pearl stated as Sapphire's gem reformed. " a precious sapphire, she sees the future,  that's who the ruby's for."

"as my sworn duty I will protect you with my life." ruby told her dong the diamond insignia.

"I know, that's why I predict you wont last a single day." Sapphire said and ruby looked at her. come now" she hopped off the table with ruby as amethyst reformed.

"hey. amethyst?" I asked.

"hey. Amethyst?" she asked and Y/n walked up to me and held onto my jacket.

"no you're amethyst!" I said and she copied me again. "y/n are you ok?" I asked looking at her.

"they've... they've been reset..."she whispered as the heart gem flipped over, giggling, and reformed and Rubber like arms surrounded both me and Y/n. she shot towards us and finished reforming.

"IM SO EXITED TO MEET YOU!" she told us her arms going back to normal arms.

"youre not mad?!" I asked.

"mad? why would I be mad at my BEST FRIENDS?!" she said giggling.

"this will be fun! aren't you a lucky one, her cut is perfect and she's pink as well. she'll bring you endless entertainment, your new best friend, Spinel!"
