QUITE AMUSED taeyong observed chayu, who was walking next to him. the shorter boy seemed more than excited about going to dye taeyong's hair. such a bundle of joy he awed quietly and kept on walking.

they had agreed on meeting on friday afternoon after school would finally let them go for two days and on going to taeyong's place, since there would be more space. even though chayu didn't admit it, he would've felt way too embarassed to invite taeyong to his house.

for some reason taeyong found it ridiciously funny that chayu had indeed gotten a sponsorship for the hair dye through his social media connections.

when they arrived at taeyong's home, he was almost jumping up and down. "so where do i set up everthing?"

"i don't know" taeyong shrugged "either the living room or my room, but we better go to my room in case anything gets stained."

"okay." chayu nodded and almost fainted internally; it had been ages since he had been invited to anyone's home- a friend's home. lost in thoughts he followed taeyong through the apartment and suddenly snapped when he saw the latter's room. "wow, you have such a good taste! and it's so neat!"

the room was decorated in neat grey and ashy tones and looked very mature over all. a big window on the opposite of the door drenched the room and light and added a friendly note to the atmosphere.

"of course it is, i am a model." for a second he remained serious and then laughed loudly. "no seriously, it took me so long to find all of these matching pieces."

"you did a good job." mumbled chayu, while thinking of his own rarely decorated room with the plushies and fairy lights. meanwhile i'm such a kid. "well, my room is pretty neat too, but it's not like i have a lot of furniture."

since he had spoked so quietly, taeyong didn't hear him and just went on rambling. "just set up your camera and stuff, i'll make some food." with that he went off to the kitchen, leaving chayu alone in the unfamiliar surroundings.

latter walked over to the desk, where he had decided to set up his camera. suddenly his gaze fell upon the wall framed with photos. all of them were pictures of ten and taeyong at different stages of their lifes. a lump started to form in his throat, he felt just so out of place.

but then again taeyong had asked him and not ten to hang out with him and this had seemed like a chance to get over his antisocial loner self.

with an absent mind chayu set up the camera and winced, when taeyong suddenly entered the room again. "are you okay?"

"yeah yeah, i just had something on my mind." mumbled chayu and noticed the plate with snacks that taeyong held out to him. "oh can i have one of these?"

"dude, that's why i brought them." laughed taeyong. maybe i should stop questioning some of the things that he says at some point. "so, what're we going to do?"

"well, first we're going to film an intro, we have some tries for this though. i got these two shades of red, so i can make your hair look more natural. hopefully i won't fail, because we have to film the hair dyeing in one take. after that we're going to film the outro and we might also film some intros again after that, so i have a greater variety of options."

taeyong jaw slightly gaped open. "wow, i underestimated how time consuming youtube videos are, but i'm up for this!"

"i know it is, but i love it anyway." it's not like i have any other hobbies than this anyway added chayu in his thoughts, but didn't say it out loud.

the excitement in chayu's voice gave taeyong a reason to smile. "so i've seen your intro like a million times in your videos, but how're we going to do it?"

"well, i already thought about this: i'll do the usual intro and then add something like i'm here with my friend taeyong today and then you can introduce yourself too and say what we're going to do." actually chayu wasn't sure if he could call taeyong his friend, but taeyong didn't complain either.

"so what do i do while you do your intro?" asked taeyong curiously.

"just wave at the camera and smile cutely or something, i know you can do that!"

"i doubt that i'll ever be able to look cute while sitting next to you."

don't lie to my face thought chayu. "i'd disagree, but let's just start already."

they both sat in front of the camera and it wasn't even awkward but what else was there to expect, they were used to looking at the lense.

chayu turned on record and smiled, he really had grown to love this. "halo angels, it's yuyu to bring you the latest make up and fashion! today i'm also have a friend with me."

for a second taeyong got startled but eased into the situation. "hi, i'm taeyong! for today's video i asked chayu hyung to- wait are you even older than me?"

chayu looked at him wide eyed and took a note to film this again. "i don't know. since my birthday is on the 12th november, i don't think so."

"well, mine is on july 1st." laughed taeyong and suddenly realized something. "oh i'm sorry, i fucked up the recording."

"don't worry, it happens to me all the time." said chayu cheerfully and ended the recording, only to start it again. "halo angels, it's yuyu to bring you the latest make up and fashion! today i'm also have a friend with me."

"hi, i'm taeyong! for today's video i asked chayu to dye my hair red, since i always wanted to try that hair color, but i don't really trust hair dressers."

"but he seems to trust me for some reason." giggled chayu and went on to explain the sponsorship.

eventually they managed to film the intro successfully and without laughing too much after the fourth try.

it took chayu another few minutes to set everything up and guide taeyong to how to sit. "so this is the moment of truth, i am really sorry if i'll ruin your hair."

"i'm confident that you won't." taeyong smiled, although chayu couldn't see it, because he was standing behind him. "i mean, look at your own hair."

with a slightly flushed face chayu turned on the recording again and did his magic on taeyong's hair.

latter was quite surprised by how naturally chayu interacted with the future viewers of their video and how much fun he seemed to have. besides that he had never heard chayu talk that much in real life.

while taeyong washed his hair, chayu attempted to start editing the intro already. yet his eyes couldn't stop wandering to the pictures of taeyong and ten.

they were both so perfect to him, he felt as if he was taking a place that wasn't his; he still couldn't understand why taeyong had started to talk to him in first place.

when taeyong entered the room again with his new red hair dripping wet, he found chayu had hung his head. but when latter noticed him he immediatly went back to his bubbly youtube - self.

for the final touch chayu also blow dried and styled taeyong's hair and when he looked at the final result, he couldn't help but feel his chest swell with pride a little.

"ya chayu! let me see it too!" pleaded taeyong, suddenly a little scared of how it would look in the end. thus he closed his eyes first when he was handed a mirror, but when he opened them, a small wow escaped his lips. "it definitely was the right decision to trust you on this! it looks so cool, thank you so much."

"i'm really glad that you're satisfied with the results." replied chayu with a wide smile. to him it had been a lot of fun to dye someone else's hair instead of his own.

"more than satisfied!"

unlike chayu, who was used to recording late at night and repeating it all over again, taeyong was tired. still chayu insisted on filming the outro too, because he was scared that he'd not want to film it with him anymore on another day.

when they finally finished it was around 11 pm and chayu promised to send taeyong the edited version of the video first, before he'd upload anything.

he really enjoyed taeyong's company and he didn't want to ruin it with such a trivial thing.

apparently taeyong didn't even think about ditching chayu; he even considered hugging the shorter boy when he left, but he ended up just thanking him again.

actually he had a lot of fun that day; this seemed like the right kind of distraction. though, he wondered whether it was fair to consider seo chayu just as a distraction.
