ALTHOUGH HE KNEW IT WAS WRONG chayu really missed seeing ten regulary. how he had used to come to their classroom every single break; how he had sat on taeyong's desk and laughed with him... this was probably where chayu's crush had it's roots.

he adored everything about the younger boy, even know that he didn't hang around their classroom anymore. every time chayu was able to spot ten in the hallway, his heart would skip a beat painfully. it always brought him back to reality: ten was just a stupid crush and that's all it'd ever be. still, no one knew so he could just hold onto it for a little longer.

it didn't matter, just like him.

on tuesdays the final period was pe, which was kind of chayu's most hated subject. he wasn't as strong or fast or tall as his male classmates, he was scared of getting accidently hit and always was the last to be chosen on any team, because he had no friends and was probably the weakest boy in the whole grade; so he would always be the last one to be chosen on a team, which for some reason made him very sad.

this was caused by the fact that his body put on neither weight nor muscle, so he had given up on working out pretty quickly.

besides that he really had zero interest in playing soccer or athletics.

but due to the lack of money chayu constantly worked a lot for social media and youtube. since he was actually quite famous, although he'd get never tired to deny it, a not so infamous brand had sent him a sweater to wear for an instagram post.

the problem was just... he usually took selfies, but like that the sweater wouldn't really be visible, so it'd be nice if he had someone to take a picture of him.

just as he was lost in his thoughts in the middle of the gym, taeyong passed him the basketball. suddenly in the center of attention chayu felt so embarassed, that he accidently passed the ball to the wrong person, which resulted in him being even more embarassed.

usually nobody would pass him the ball, no matter what game they were playing.

while all chayu wanted to do was crying about his embarassment, a thought crossed his mind. i could ask taeyong to take the picture for me!

he was aware that it'd most likely cause him even more awkwardness, but then again he just hoped that taeyong wouldn't mind too much.

for the rest of the lesson chayu was busy overthinking on how to talk to his classmate properly; lucky enough it was the final period already.

out of all the boys chayu was also the one to take the longest to change his cloths, especially since most of them just went home in their gym cloths. usually the others were long gone until he was finished.

in order not to miss taeyong he decided to approach him when some were gone already and he was only half changed. "um hi taeyong, i have a question..." he said quietly and tapped the taller boy's shoulder.

"sure, what's it?" the latter turned around, while changing his shirt and chayu was suddenly very interested in staring at his own hands. "i just wanted to ask if you could take a picture of me for instagram."

actually taeyong wasn't quite sure what chayu had meant with his request. "of course, but why though?"

awkwardly chayu looked around in the changing room and saw that everyone had left already, so he could ease into the situation a little. "xx brand has sent me a sweater and if i wear it in one of my post, they'll pay me some money soo."

"dude, how famous are you?" exclaimed taeyong. "but sure thing, i'll try my best to replace your professional photographer."

"i don't have a professional photographer, because i'm not famous." pouted chayu and walked back to where he had left his things, while taeyong finally put on a shirt again.

a while later they both had finished changing their cloths and chayu showed taeyong, where he wanted his photo to be taken. (a plain staircase in a side hallway of the school)

actually taeyong wasn't very experienced with photography, but there was no way he could admit it, so he just took as many photos as possible, while chayu awkwardly posed.

"no, this is not it." mumbled taeyong, unsatisfied with all the results. "just look at me, that'll do."

obviously chayu wasn't in the right state of mind to overthink his actions. "okay, okay."

after a while taeyong was finally able to take a picture that looked overall flawless in his eyes and chayu couldn't stop thanking him enough.

for some reason it was strange how he had done all of this for the money, still it also had a good side.

at the same time ten had been practicing dancing for hours all by himself in one of the empty classrooms.

when he finally decided it was time to go home, he heard taeyong's voice in the hallway talking to someone else.

ten didn't want to know who it was and neither what they had been talking about, he just wanted to run. in reality there was nothing he wanted more than a hug like in the old days.

but he ran.

-

in the evening taeyong finally came home and when his gaze fell onto the framed picture of ten and him on his desk his stomach twisted.

he missed ten so much, yet there would be no way back.

in order to destroy himself even more, he took his phone to check the pictures that ten uploaded; taeyong had always hoped that his pretty best friend's face could cheer him up, although it was the other way around.

the first thing that popped up on his phone was a picture of ten and kun with more of them to follow.

he didn't want to read the caption, it'd only make him feel more depressed. for some reason ten had gotten so close to kun ever since they had stopped talking. meanwhile taeyong didn't really grow close to any of his other friends.

sure, he hung out with doyoung more often, but they were mostly just eating, studying or playing video games.

absentminded taeyon scrolled down his timeline, until something caught his eye; it was the photo that he had taken of seo chayu earlier.

well, he sure knows how to sell. thought taeyong and if he wouldn't have felt so shitty, he sure would've been amused. in order to distract himself from that he sent chayu a direct message without thinking further.

when he checked the latter's amount of followers again, he actually had doubts that he'd even read it but whatever.

where's my credit on your photo?

due to the fact that he didn't have a lot of people to talk to, chayu usually checked his phone about every few minutes. thus he also often replied to fans' messages.

still sometimes he wished to have a friend that he could actually text, but that was probably too much to ask for.

that was when he saw the notification and hesitated to open it. isn't this taeyong's id?
honestly speaking chayu was a little less self concious on social media, so he replied pretty quickly.

yu.1004
sorry, i didn't know your username, but i'll tag you asap o.O

of course he did know taeyong's username (ever since he knew ten's username) but taeyong didn't have to know that.

tae.gram__
you don't have to, i was just joking around 😅

yu.1004
haha if you say so XD

YES I DO

eventually they texted a little more and eventually chayu got so excited, that he didn't know how to reply anymore.

he was mad at himself, but that was nothing new

i feel like i'm exaggerating the social media parts, but then again it's fun and a huge part of chayu's life, so please tell me your opinion ~
