Boy have I had this idea for a hot minute.

So, back when I first started watching Dream which was when he first blew up before he got and then lost his world record, before the SMP was made, and before I knew who tf Wilbur, Tommy, and Tubbo were, I already wanted to write about the Dream Team. It was a manhunt type fic, like everyone else was doing because I'm totally original.

It was so long ago, it only had like 5 main characters. Dream, George, Sapnap, Bad, and Illumina (not really). His and Dreams Ocean Battle Saga had just dropped and I fell in love with their dynamic. Which it ironic given the fact that I added Illumina just so I could kill him right in the beginning lmao. And it had two side characters, Jacksepticeye and Pewdiepie. Because I needed characters, but I didn't know about the rest of the gang yet.

Anyways, I planned this idea. Like, 3 entire books fully outlined, kinda planned. It was so long ago, I didn't know about Skeppy. And I hate to admit this, because I would never fathom this idea now, but Badnap was endgame. And then the SMP happened and Bad canonically adopted Sapnap aad I was like <_< well now I don't even ship it a little bit.

And that's just the character stuff, which obviously needs a lot of work since I haven't touched that since I wrote it out the first time. The plotline tho, is pretty fire if I say so myself. I don't wanna just spoil it, but it's called Ender Disease so, you can probably guess.

So, Dream gets sick (details in story) and manhunt starts. But it's just built different. For one, Dream is the only hunter and he has powers. No compass just instinct, and he can respawn an infinite amount. His sickness is a type of mind control, and he wants to just murder everyone (I predicted the egg 👁👄👁). Ender dragons can only killed by a weapon welded by a human (or part human) hand. So, any and all humans in the sector were a threat to the Ender dragon which Dream was convinced to protect (🥚🥚🥚). Bad, Sap, and Gogy are trying to kill the ender dragon, not to beat the game but to save Dream from his illness which will eventually kill him, more or less.

So, I had no idea about the server head canon. No idea about making Minecraft IRL have servers and stuff. So, everyone is just in a single infinite hardcore survival world, that's how we meet Jack and Pewds (in book 2). There are sectors though, and each sector has two Ender Dragons. Hero's/Players are the ones who go around hunting the Dragons, freeing the end and all that stuff. But if you die, you die. Like permanently. There are no respawns, no code manipulating you can do, none of that. And when you die you drop an item that already exists in game but it's re colored to match you. Like, for example if Bad were to die he might drop a diamond because of Skeppy, but it would be red or black because of his skin. Illumina would drop an ender pearl, because he's a speed runner but it would be purple because that's his channel color, last I checked anyways. Sapnap might drop a golden bucket of lava or something I don't have a better idea for him. And Gogy maybe like a blue leather cap. You get my point.

So they go off, they do the thing. They might kill the dragon, they might all die. A lot of the characters don't really make it to book 2. Book 2 is about one of the characters, who had lost literally everything due to the disease and death/cold blooded murder of all/some/maybe only one of- his friends, we'll call him X. X finds a lost recipe for a totem of revival. It's a very costly item, you need a nethrite chest plate, dragons breath, a totem of undying, and an elytra. As you can probably guess it's a one time use so if more then one person is dead you're gonna need duplicates. Plus there is a very physical price to pay for using a totem of revival. X's dumbass sets off on a physically self destructive path to revive anyone who died. There is at least three people following X and trying to stop him, one of them (Z) maybe just wants to confess their undying love. And maybe they do, and maybe X be just blows Z off and goes to fuck himself up anyways.

Maybe X is successful in the resurrection of one or more friends, and maybe X dies a painful death trying, or something worse. Third book is just the aftermath, recovery stuff. It might be the recovery/absolute downward spiral into insanity of one person, maybe more.

I don't wanna spoil stuff and just tell you which ones die and which ones don't.

It's interesting. Definitely needs some work. I wanna add in a lot more characters. Definitely change the Badnap endgame because no❤. Add Karlnapity maybe because it's my drug of choice, definitely add in Tommy and Tubbo they make things real interesting.

Anyways, that's the idea. That's the plan. Whatcha think? 👀
