Wolf In Sheep's Clothing
"'Beware, beware; be skeptical; never trust anybody,'" Tommy mocked. "'Don't trust anyone; everything could be a lie,'" Ranboo added in, somehow calm as ever. (Considering what Dream had done to the three, how they could stand there and not be flying at his throat was quite an impressive feat.)
"How do you just- stand there, and smile? It's like- it's like second nature to you, not even. Like you were born with this... stupid golden smile, ready to deceive and manipulate everyone around you." Tubbo trie to reason it out loud, Dream still immovable. "Stupid- what's it called? Wolf in sheep's clothing?" Tommy asked. "That's what you are. Do you even have a fucking soul?"
"Hey, hey! I bet he'd say, 'No, by the way, what are morals?'" Ranboo joked. (The actors wondered if this was appropriate.) "Yeah!" Tommy cheered. "Also, Dream, your alibis are absolute shit. You probably think they're great tricks, yeah? No, they suck."
"I'm offended."
Tommy rolled his eyes, feigning indifference. Tubbo, on the other hand, was making no effort to hide his disgust. "How can you sleep with what you've done? How do you walk around like any other normal person would, when you're not a normal person? And like–" He broke off. "And when you're asked, you always say it's 'for the greater good,'" Ranboo continued smoothly. "How the hell? Do you have to mentally justify everything you do?"
"You just– you just tell your lies like second fucking nature, it's– it's insane," Tommy spluttered. "But listen. One day, you'll fucking pay. Now pray to your gods it's not today, because I don't know about you boys," he gestured to Tubbo and Ranboo, "but I'm feeling a bit vengeful right now. Hmm?"
"Woo! Go off!" Tubbo cheered.
"You're all children, all of you. So immature, you wouldn't even understand," Dream spat.
"See, I think what you've done has changed us," Tubbo grinned. It was not the smile of a seventeen-year-old boy, but rather the scarred face of a survivor, a president, a warrior, but at heart, a loyal friend ready to give the world. Sometimes, loyalty scared Dream. Following someone or something, blindly, to whatever end?
"You really think we're children now?"
"Hey, Tommy, I like your wolf in sheep's clothing thing. It makes sense, y'know? And we'd be the prey." Tommy frowned. "I don't like the sound of that, man. But you're right, he stalks us like Techno said before. Like some sort of obsessive criminal," he concluded.
Ranboo nodded in agreement. "And you bite and infect the people you depend on to better 'control them.'" Tubbo laughed.
"You're a problem."
"No no no, you're a coward," Tommy interrupted. "You're a coward, and you're too scared to admit it, even to some 'little kids,'" he mocked. "How the fuck– you think you're so high and mighty, yeah? But you can't even be honest to some random kids that just wanted to have fun."
"I dunno, maybe he'll change," Tubbo suggested. "Yeah, maybe he'll start over, abandon everything he's done in the past and live a good life," Ranboo joined in, clearly sarcastic. "Fuckin'- yeah, you guys are getting ahead of yourselves," Tommy breathed out. "That's obviously never happening." Ranboo hummed. "I'm well aware, and he's past second chances by now."
"So. Yeah. I- are we fit for the job?" Tubbo asked, suddenly unsure. "What do you mean, man? Of course we are, we're the most affected ones, aren't we? The three of us?" Tommy sighed. "Karma's gonna collect your debt, Dream. It's coming, and it's almost there."
"I think we're karma."
"And we're here."
