Chapter 15

Tammy hated being pregnant. She hated her crazy ex-boyfriend Derek for getting her pregnant. She hated the swollen feet and stretch marks. Most of all she hated her baby. She was trapped because of the baby she carried. She banged her hands against the locked door, screaming for her release.

"Let me go! I'll hurt this baby! Let me go dammit!"

Her cried ended in a sob. She hadn't heard from her captor in hours. The stale bread she had been given earlier still sat on its tray, waiting to be eaten. Tammy wondered if she could hurt herself. It probably wouldn't do her any good. If her baby became hurt, Tammy's life would be over. She had to figure out a way to escape.

------------------------------------

Back at Majestic Waters, Dani was watching a curly-haired brunette flirt with Jax.

"You're really a son of the Michaels family? You have a brother named Jackson, right? I went to private school with him. He was so handsome. So are you by the way," the woman smiled.

Dani wanted to gag. Where was curly-sue's husband, anyway? She looked around to see her older husband talking to Molly. Dani cleared her throat before grabbing Jax's arm, "Honey Bunches of Oats, aren't we supposed to be working on our meditations?"

"Honey bunches of what?" Jax laughed, ignoring the pouting curly-haired woman.

"You heard me," Dani muttered, dragging Jax away. "What is with this place? Is it like an undercover front for cheaters?"

"Why do you say that? Because that woman was trying too hard to get in my pants?"

Dani shoved him away, "Well you weren't exactly discouraging her, were you?"

"What am I supposed to say? Excuse me, but please don't flirt with me. My fiancee gets jealous."

"Me? Jealous? Dream on Jaxass," Dani crossed her arms and turned away from his smug expression.

"And wake up from such a delicious dream? Of Dani Deleon, my one and only Panda Eyes, acting jealous? I don't think so."

"I told you I'm not jealous. I just didn't want our cover to be blown since you two couldn't stay away from one another. One of us has to be alert."

"What are you talking about? She's the one that approached me. She went to school with my brother."

"Your brother, the possible killer?" Dani asked quietly.

Jax nodded. Thinking of his brother made him think of Vivian, his ex-fiancee. She had been murdered. He looked over at Dani who was staring back at him, concern all over her face. He gave a weak smile, "Don't worry Panda Eyes. I had no intention of cheating on you. It's weird, you know?"

"What's weird?"

"I'm so used to carrying Vivian here," he pointed to his heart. "I sometimes feel like I'm betraying her."

"You don't have to feel guilty. It's just make-believe Jax."

He stared at Dani who was biting her lower lip, "Is it?"

Dani didn't have an answer for him.

"Are you two finished?" Shelly asked, coming up to them. "Bo and I just finished our meditation.  We really feel relaxed now. We're really hoping we pass stage one soon."

"I'm so confused," Dani said. "Who gets to decide if you pass stage one or not?"

"The doctors do," Bo answered. "If they feel you're ready, you take a dip in the lake which is blessed. Apparently, a couple will become pregnant the night after the woman goes into the lake."

"What does the man do while his wife is at the lake?" Jax asked.

"I'm not a hundred percent sure," Bo admitted. "I think he just relaxes or something."

"Typical," Dani muttered. "The woman does all the work."

"Oh stop Panda Eyes. You know I'd help you in any way that I could," Jax kissed her cheek.

"You two sure are affectionate," Shelly said softly. "But why do you call her Panda Eyes?"

Jax sniggered, "Because she has trouble sleeping if I'm not by her at night."

"Jax!" Dani covered his mouth.

Shelly and Bo both laughed. Bo put an arm around Shelly, "I bet you two do really well and pass stage one soon. You're both so loving that you'd be great parents."

"I'm sure you two would be great parents as well," Dani said politely.

"Well it's been a struggle but we're trying everything we can think of. We really want a baby," Shelly said sadly.

"Is adoption out of the question?" Jax asked.

Bo and Shelly exchanged a look before Shelly answered, "We'd really like to try having our own first."

Dani nodded, "Well, I hope we all get to stage two soon." She looked to her right and saw Simon and Molly walking out of the meditation room. She lightly elbowed Jax to get his attention. He nodded when she whispered that she was going to the bathroom.

She spotted the couple and quietly followed them as they stepped outside. She hid behind a pillar as they talked.

"You idiot!"

Dani heard the slap and cringed. That had to have hurt but she still didn't feel pity for Simon, the philanderer.

"You think I don't know what you're doing while we're here? Here of all places!" Molly fumed.

Dani peeked to see Simon working his jaw, an annoyed look on his face, "What the Hell was that for?"

"I give you an allowance every week, don't I?" Molly asked as she dug her index finger in his chest. "I know better than anyone else that my toy isn't cheap. How dare you let others play with you."

Simon had the gall to laugh, "Your toy? Why are you acting like this? You knew what you were getting before you married me. We both know I'm not faithful. You know, I'm getting really sick of pretending to be okay with your jealous rages."

"You're my husband!"

"Don't remind me. We should've just stuck to the old arrangement. You pay me. I give you a good time. Having to play the doting husband is exhausting."

"Doting husband?" Molly  hissed. "Do you even know what that means? You screw anything that moves."

"That's not true," Simon said. "I don't screw you."

Another slap filled the air.

"You really need to learn a new move, wife," Simon said, wiping the blood on the side of his mouth. "Don't you know you catch more bees with honey?"

"Shut up!"

"I bet you wish you could divorce me, right? If you want to live a separate life, by all means go ahead. I won't stop you. Divorcing me is out of the question though. Not unless you're willing to pay me alimony."

"You only care about my money," Molly said.

"Are you just now figuring that out?"

"You bastard. I'll divorce you and you won't see a nickel from me."

Simon laughed, "Don't make empty threats."

"It's not empty. Not in the least."

"Well if you do divorce me, be prepared. My lips might become a bit loose after divorce."

"What are you talking about?" Molly asked.

"What is this? Is Molly Clinefeld worried? You should be.  I know how jealous you really get. How vindictive you are. You think you've kept your sins a secret, but you haven't. I know everything."

"What?" Molly took a step back.

Dani watched as Simon stepped forward, causing Molly to stumble backwards and fall.

"You know what your problem is? You think you deserve everything because you're rich and you aim too high. You wanted a handsome young husband and so you bought me. You should've found someone your own age. Then you wanted a baby. I told you I didn't want one but you forced me here. I won't touch you. Hell, I'll get anyone else pregnant but you."

"Why? Why are you doing this to me?" Molly cried, a tear falling down her cheek.

"Because you're evil and any child you have would be the spawn of Satan."

"You're no saint!" Molly accused.

"No. Of course I'm not. I sold myself for money and I'm an adulterer."

Dani watched as Simon crouched down next to his wife. She had to really make an effort to hear his last words.

"I'll probably go to Hell for my sins but you...you deserve something worse than Hell. You're evil Molly and no matter how long you keep me here at this place, I'll never get you pregnant."

"I'm your wife," Molly said weakly. "Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

"Yes. It means I married a murderer."
