I quivered realising my hand on his lips. Before I could have taken away my hand very tenderly he put it down himself off his lips. His fingers tightened holding mine when I attempted to pull it away again.

"Can I ask you something" he asked holding me still.

"Avni" his voice deep as if he is urging for something.

"Yes or no" he asked. I looked right into his eyes. He gulped.

"What made you all of a sudden realize......." I couldn't complete the sentence. And his forehead creased, slightly.

"It's really strange believing for a person like you doing such things... I mean you are not the kind of talk much or take things impulsively" my brows furrowed, my eyes raised at him. I saw a contented smile appeared on his lips followed by his gaze. I frowned.

"See, you already know the answer. I usually don't take things casually, it isn't yet clear to you that I'm beyond serious this time!" His smile widened and I gulped.

"But I want to know everything. That you are hiding since you have come here" I stated calmly.

"I met doctor Chris" My heart clenched by the name he has taken just now. My eyes startled. I kept staring at him for some few seconds and then relaxed my stiffened shoulder. A humorless chuckle slipped out of my lips.

"Ooh so this's the reason" I mocked but inside I'm cooling down my pique not to barge on him for seeking his unnecessary interest into my personal life. I was extremely irked by this action of Neil. My jaws flexed in resentment upon him .
Who the hell is he think of himself. How could he just go and intend to invade my personal transactions.And how much he got to know from Doctor Chris about everything! I hope my doctor kept things professional as much as I know him. But still there was a lump of godawful stuck inside my throat. My hands was shaking anticipating, how weak I am he must be thinking.
Before he pity me, My body should get buried to the core, the spot Earth ends.
I got up with a jerk, turned my face away. I don't want to see into his eyes a second more.

"Wait. What do you mean by saying 'this is the reason'!!!!" he got up instantly, stood behind me. I didn't respond stood still back facing him.

"Only the reason is" he paused, took a deep breath before speaking "I love you" and he said. his voice was emotional. I felt him put his hands on my shoulder from behind and next he turned me to face him. I shut my eyes, I was controlling hard my temper. And his reply left me unfazed. Again.

My head was downcast, I wasn't in condition to face him. He tilted my face up by my chin. My hesitant eyes laid on his intense one. My heart started pounding.

"What could I do to make you believe me Avni!" his voice shaken. His forehead creased in pain. There was genuineness in his gaze.
And I melted searching them.

I bit my quivering lips to stop myself not to break down again.

"I know. I shouldn't have gone to him. I was curious. I'm sorry" he stated softly. I averted my gaze, sniffed, shrugged his hands away my shoulder but he hugged me instead.

I know I shouldn't think all these things at this moment but I have no control on my brain. His hands slipped on my waist, my eyes widened, I felt my hair stood up on my neck.

"I have had already decided to say you this time, before coming back to London. Actually I lied" he said and I pulled my head away his chest and my eyes rose straight to him at his last words.

"I haven't come to attain any official meeting here in London. I have come all the way long to say you how much I missed you going back India. I missed seeing you around me. I missed getting scolded by you everytime you caught me and Aryan chatting, throughout the entire function. I really missed you a lot, neither I could define you nor you can imagine how much it is" And he tucked a hair away my face behind my ear. His eyes smiled.

My eyes flickered.

Shoo... I should have to....I stopped in the middle of my thoughts by his statement next.

"I love you with my whole heart. It's not because someone has told me to.
I realized it long back, the day I left you for the second time, I had decided, I would come back. Not only because of you, but also my heart wants the same....for me you are my happiness" I felt his lips pressed on my forehead,my eyes got shut on their own. I heaved a deep sign.
I love him too. Always I did, I do. And I wouldn't be able to hold myself back, not to fall for him all again.
I shivered by his touch.

Isn't it the beautiful thing, falling for the same person all over again!!!

"Mom. Dada has come. Granny told. Is that true! Open the door. Why the door is closed! what are you both doing inside! Are you fighting again!" We parted. Avni flinched by the yell Aryan made and he thumped with his little palm on the door to open it on.

Avni was about to step away me but I stopped her clutching by her wrist.
Her eyes furrowed at our clashped arms then she rose her gaze at me, bemused.

"Arya bachha, come downstairs...Dadda will come later" we heard Neela Aunty said aloud from downstairs. And a soft foot steps sound heard fainted, juggled down the stairs after few minutes of waiting outside the door.

"You didn't reply anything yet" my voice firm,I rose my eyes.

"There nothing can be happened between us Neil" her eyes stiffened. I felt a pain inside my ribcage.

"May I know....."she couldn't let me finish.

"We have a huge difference between our status" her jaws tightened saying me this.

"Yes you are highest scorer, Gold medalist and I'm a simple university toper" I chuckled and she snapped her head up at me. Her eyes creased and immediately she looked away.

"I have some responsibilities" she stated further. her voice softened, it's no more hard now.

"I know. Me and Aryan has already fallen for each other..." I stated playfully. She tried to free herself off my grip and I didn't loosen a bit instead it tightened.

"Are you on high!" Giving up her struggle freeing herself She cocked her head in much curiosity and I taken aback being stuttered, my neck slightly backward. I looked at her keenly and replied " I don't, without Ali" I saw a smile crept on her lips when I mentioned Ali.

Can't she smile for me like that, for once! She never did.

"Avni I'm asking you something!" I didn't want to scare her but I couldn't stop myself getting worked up thinking the fact that she could smile for some other men, not me.

"What" I saw her eyes gleamed in a playful way.

"Say yes" I stated in same tone.

"Yes for what!!" my hand might have lightened a bit. And Avni took that chance, she pulled her hand away mine.

So she wants to play with my patience!

Okay as she wish. But that doesn't mean I would let her win. Never.
Typical Neil Khanna is back.

Crossing my arms over my chest I cocked my face sideway, gaped at her head to toe once. Then quickly shoved a hand inside my pocket and took out the thing I was carying inside there since I have come here. I hide it behind. She watched my action, her eyes followed my hand behind. She furrowed her eyes and tilted at me as if asking me what I have hid behind.

I took a step closer, grabbed her hand and quickly pushed the thing inside her ring finger.
"You are mine now" I gave her a lobsided grin showing her own hand in front of her face. She must have realized now what I have just done. Her eyes widened in shock.
Avni moved her eyes two and fro at me and at her ring finger then blinked it few times. And with a swift pull lacing her fingers into mine I swaggered dragging her to the door and opened it. I swear you guys , unwillingly a triumphant smirk appeared on my lips.

She is still so innocent. Isn't she!
One of the reasons I fell for her.

She kept looking at me and at her hand dumbfounded. Someone should have seen her face then. It was so pale, horrified. She swallowed hard inside her throat twice.
Cat got her tongue or what!
