Neil

My emotions are concealed, hasn't come out yet vehemently, until I'm solemn hiding them.

"I missed her. Really missed her a lot" the only thought came into my mind the second I laid my eyes on Avni. She was standing there still up on stair case. Sending me glares.

Doesn't she get tired of throwing at me such expressions being spitfire all the time seeing me around! She is behaving just like an old me, I used to be.
Okay okay not so old. Few days back I used to be the same before meeting her after so many years later again.

"Did she say something!" I whined inwardly looking up at her. I saw her muttered something heaving sighs.

"Dadda we are going to a book fair" with his little hands Aryan pulled my face away Avni towards him.

"Ooohookkay!!" I scoffed catching my breath and kissed softly on his palm that was on my lips partly. I send him a grin and Aryan giggled.

I missed these two more than I missed any other person ever.

"Arya, let's go" Swiftly breaking down the stairs Avni grabbed Aryan away my arms and put him down. She held his hand and Aryan looked up at me.
Our eyes locked. She was furious, I was calm, a small smug smile appeared at the corner of my lips. God knows where this extraordinary serenity has come inside me. I haven't remember if I have ever tolerated anyone's attitude as such before. I don't think I ever did.

Except her.

"Let's go Dadda" breaking our eye lock we both snapped our gaze towards Aryan standing between us. Avni had twirled her eyes first at him then I also did next.

"He is not coming with us Arya!!" Her voice was stern at first. Then softened.

"Dadda has come to see me all the way long... please Mom don't say no" Aryan implored in agony.

Avni didn't say a single word more unlikely walked straight to the door holding Aryan by his arm. Before I could have opened my mouth Aryan almost whispered "c'mon Mom said yes...let's goooo..." He motioned with his widened eyes to follow them. And I startled coming back to my normal state away being into reverie. I hastened my steps catching them.

It wasn't any more cardinal If I haven't seen Avni agreed!

Avni

The place is hardly 10 minutes walk away my house. But I decided to drive. I can't walk with this Man all the way.

I just can't.

I took the driver seat and slipped inside. Locked my door.

Neil shoved himself on the seat beside me.

That's disgusting.

And Arya was on the back passenger seat.

I bellowed inwardly, haven't any energy left to argue with my stubborn baby. I revved the car engine. As soon as my car jumbled starting the engine I saw through my peripheral vision Neil buckled his seat belt and exhaled deeply.

Good to him.

"Yeyyy go go go goooo" Arya yelled. I know how elated my baby was feeling at that moment. Neil released an imperceptive smile looking straight.I need not to see him to see that because I'm sure he did. And the same did I.
And we drove off.

Having seen a parking lot nearby Avni parked the car.
Locking it down they all came outside. Arya hurriedly held Neil's hand and sent a cute smile looking up at him. Neil blinked his eyes send a contentment smile back to him.

"Wait" Avni came across the driver side and she then bent down to his level.
Avni made Arya wear a grey woolen beanie, covered his head.

"Thank you Mom. It's really cold" pushing his shoulder contracting closer Arya giggled, proclaimed he is shivering.

"Now let's go" Avni held his hand and about to walk and saw Arya also did the same. "Let's go Dadda" he clung to Neil's hand and hauled both of them stepping forward, to the entrance gate. Neil grinned as Arya dragged him by his hand.

And Avni rolled her eyes in response.

Through a huge entrance gate people moving inside. Whilst It didn't cover any enormous spot nor such a large event so it was free access to get in. Not any entrance ticket required.
Three of them straight got inside along with throng of people besides them. People are roaming all over the place, having gathered around different book stalls. Also few food stalls scattered here and there serving People their evening snacks. Some halting there having breaks in between their long searches and also taking intervals of buying their favourite authors' masterpieces.

These are entirely my imaginations. I have never ever visited any book fair in abroad or any other places far away my region. So it's quite obvious I haven't any idea exactly how it gets organised there in other countries.
Pardon me if I have made any blunder putting some particular scenes and explaining them as well in this chappie.

Arya was roaming his gaze at people moving around and at the several books stalls as well. He dragged Avni and Neil holding their hands to a Children's Books counter side on his right few steps ahead.

There many kids have gathered around the stall alongside their parents. Some are excited looking at the vast stocks. Some engrossed into turning pages seeing the pictures inside while the stall owners taking gently those books away them so that pages couldn't get torn off by any kid. Some were also seen convincing their parents to buy some more than they already have.

As Arya was not getting the best view as there was enough crowd surrounded the stall. Looking at him struggling see through the other kids of his age more or less Avni giggled and pulled him up in her arms to get Arya a proper view over. While Neil admired their mother and son bond standing next to them.

"That one...no no that beside the blue cover....yes....no Dadda the second last pink one" this way Arya instructed and his poor Dadda and sometimes the owners themselves helped him out to pick out the books Arya pointed. Also the same happened to the other stalls that row next.
As Neil was enough taller there similar to most of the guys around so it wasn't much tougher for him to lean and get the books faster for Arya he was asking to have a look on them before planning to buy any.

"Arya halt now, I'm tired" Avni put him down her arms. They moved to a spot less crowded.

"Let's get coffee then" Neil suggested shoving his hands inside his pocket. As if he is waiting for her agreement.

Avni took a glance of him and averted her eyes in search of a coffee stall.

"There" she motioned somewhere straight and immediately held Arya to move to the spot. Before they would have moved forward Neil took away the paper bag few thin books inside Arya was holding and they made their way to that coffee shop.

Before Neil, Avni ordered two coffee and a hot chocolate for Arya. And before she could have paid the guy standing at the cast counter this time Neil stretched his arm over her head and paid the cash that guy. Neil avoided the glare Avni threw at him standing just next to him.

Not giving him another glance Avni said to Arya "You wait here baby I'll be back right now" Avni walked forward searching somewhere in hurry. Her expression was like she has seen someone familiar there.

Neil's eyes creased looking at the way she left. By then their coffee were served and Neil took his cup, off the counter and also handed over Arya his hot chocolate.

It past few minutes Avni didn't come back yet. Throwing his gaze around in search of her somewhere his eyes halted. His gaze zoomed.There she is talking to a person. A decent looking tall guy in his mid thirties. He was in black suit.

It seems they know eachother for long time.

His jaws tightened looking at their vicinity. Her head leaned near him looking at the phone he is holding close to their face. That Man showing something in his ph screen and then pulling her head away Avni waited staring at his pH and him. That guy was seen typing something. And he gave his pH. Wait it was her pH he handed her. Then saying something more Avni first whipped her head at his direction and that Man also did the same following her and two of their gaze fell at the same person. That person took a glance of Neil. It was a glance of few seconds longer than usual. He said something and Avni shoke her head downcast in no. She looked up then heaved a sigh crushing her both lips together inside her mouth.

"Dadda are you listening! Dadda!!" Neil flinched by Aryan growled calling him. In reply averting his gaze away Avni and that Man his smile wasn't a grin. Instead as if something bothering him.

"You didn't listen a single word I said. Did you!!" Arya gave a grumpy gape. And Neil tried diverting him "Have you finished your hot chocolate!"

"Wait, what are you watching there" Arya threw his curious gaze, tried seeing through the crowd where Neil's gaze was few seconds before. But he failed.
Arya trashed his empty cup hurriedly getting off his seat and bent lower narrowing his eyes to get a clear view so that he could see through the space people's passing steps.

"Ooh got it." Arya straighten his back in a relief sigh.
"C'mon Dadda don't be jealous..he is Dr. Chris. Mom's doctor" Aryan rolled his eyes and sat back in his chair. The Stall owner gave it to sit seeing him only kid in his shop.

"I'm not jealous" Neil groaned rolling his eyes he walked to the trash bin near by and dumped his empty cup there.

"Wait,Doctor!!! What do you mean!!" Neil halted, his forehead snapped deeper waiting for his reply. His breathing rising now each seconds.

"Ummm...what does it say....pshy...pshcy..." Arya tilted his head upward trying hard pronouncing the word.

"Psychologist!!" Neil pronounced in a voice that sounded unbelievable by himself.

"That's correct" Arya almost jumped in agreement.

"Aaare you sure!" Neil stammered badly. His throat got dried instant. His graggy gaze fell on the spot Avni stood few minutes back. Now she is making her way reaching to them.

"Hey baby guess who I met" Avni halted passing over Neil and grinned looking down at Arya. She just rejoined them.

"If you are talking about Dr. Chris! I have already seen him" Arya responded in a grin wider than his mom and next sent a groofy smile to Neil.

Neil's stance was indecisive. He was in deep thought of her consulting Psychologist.

Avni saw Neil staring at her with weird gaze all over her. Then she stared back at Arya being bewildered.

"Anything here bothering !!" Avni worried, looked back at Neil dubiously.

"Mom dadda was..." Arya started but cut off immediately.

"I have a meeting tomorrow...I'll leave" Neil stated and gave a tight smile blankly.

Avni narrowed her eyes at Neil and then immediately dissolved averting her gaze away back to Arya.

"Yup he is right let's go back home Arya" she held Arya let him get off his seat, not before taking her coffee off the stall counter.

"Nooo we have just come" Arya implored jutting his lips sad.

"Arya we will come another day this week. It's quater past 8 already" stating Avni took a sip off her cup. It was perfect warm as she comfortable gulping hot liquids as such.

"You are promising me Mom. Aren't you!!" Arya had a keen look at his Mom walking hurriedly behind her. His right hand still held by Avni. She was walking sipping her coffee.

On the other hand Neil need to figure out something very obscure. Something arcene about her he doesn't know yet. Nothing apparent what, and from where he would begin. But he would, even he have to.

Neil sucked a deep gasped threatened to release out of his mouth before he followed them behind.
