Epilogue
Brooklyn's POV
"That's the fifth time today," Sky said as I crawled back into his arms after yet another trip to the bathroom. I laid down on his stomach and rested my head in the nook of his neck. He wrapped his arms around me while Roxie was resting peaceful by our feet. She had gotten a little bigger since we got her, but not much. She's literally so cute and cuddly all the time. Sky thinks I love Roxie more than I love him sometimes. But they're both cute, and I love them both so much.
But right now I love Roxie a little more since I'm really not in the mood for Sky pointing out the obvious. In fact, I haven't been in the best mood lately, and I think it's starting to show. "Sky, this isn't the time," I groaned as I settled into his arms. "Just hold me and be quiet."
"How can I be quiet!" His voice rang in my head making the pounding worse than what it was before.
"Sky can you please turn done the volume?" I asked. "My head is spinning a mile a minute and you yelling isn't going to help!" I didn't help myself by yelling back, but then again I haven't been making the best choices lately.
"Sorry baby girl," he whispered before planting a small kiss to my temple. A lot has happened in the past couple of months.
A few months after we got married we we went to LA to film Newsies the live movie! Yeah I wasn't Sniper, my other parts however, yes I was. But for the encore show I was and it was amazing. The livesies cast was broadway and tour combined. How cool was that?! When the movie was released for the cast and crew to see it was odd seeing my friends and I on the big screen, but it was so cool at the same.
For the reunion show in October I sang One of the Boys (Newsies pardoy) it was basically me singing how I wanted to be one of the boys, but also one of the girls. Sky was going to do something with the guys about wishing how they could eat junk food all the time but he had some last minute family he had to go to, so Chaz filled in for him. Anyways, during my song there was one line that went "but little did they know that I was hot for Delancey". Someone in the audience yelled, "Albert has some competition!" I nearly lost it of course.
I think someone got it on video and posted it to Instagram, tagged Sky in it so he could see it and boy did was that FaceTime interesting.
Besides that Nick and Dylan got married in the winter. It was such a sweet wedding, and since I was the matron of honor I said in my speech how I remembered those two being completely oblivious to the fact that they like each other. And if Nick does anything to hurt Dylan he should sleep with one eye open. It got a lot of laughs, but Nick didn't look so happy about that. Oh well.
Ben and Zoey haven't tied the knot yet, neither has Josh and Julia. But I know it's coming soon, I can just see the look in Ben and Josh's eyes. Oh, speaking of which, Fallon has a boyfriend, and it none other than Logan Williams. Yes, the same Logan I had a crush on. No hard feelings since that was just a silly school girl crush. Alex is still single as a potato, but knowing her, she'll find someone.
The new year cane and went and now we're here. Cuddling on the couch of our New York apartment and me feeling like crap every five seconds.
"Brooklyn, baby, are you sure you're ok?" Sky asked sweetly while running his fingers through me hair. "You've been pretty stick for a couple of months now. I think you need to see a doctor."
"I don't need a doctor Sky," I whined like a little kid. "I'm perfectly fine. Nothing is wrong, ok?! Now can you shut up I just want some peace and quiet for once!"
"Brooklyn," he said firmly. There goes the peace and quiet I wanted. "You've been going to the bathroom a lot more lately. You've been moody, and blow up at the littlest thing. Like now for instance. And you've been getting weird food cravings," Sky replied. "I'm going to the store every five minutes, and when I come back you're busy tossing up your guts."
"Sky, I don't need to go to the doctor," I replied. "You know a stomach bug has been going around lately."
"I'm not taking no for an answer Brooklyn!" He said seriously, "Even if I have to carry you there myself, you're going!" He said firmly. I'll admit, this boy does drive me up the wall sometimes, but he's also been so sweet since this started happening.
"I don't need to go to a doctor!" I replied a little loudly.
"Yes you do!" Sky said firmly. I felt Roxie's head brush my foot. Meaning she woke up form her nap because of all Sky's yelling.
"No I don't!" I replied while looking him in the eyes. "I already know what's wrong!"
"Oh yeah? What's wrong then?" Sky asked.
So, this is happening a lot sooner than planned. "Well..." I trailed off. "Let's just say I'll get better in seven months," I replied shyly. Sky had his thinking face on. I could practically see the gears in his head turning as he tried to figure out what was wrong with me. But technically he's the whole reason for the change in my normal behavior.
How can this boy not get it? He practically gave himself the answer just moments ago. "Sky," I said sweetly while running my fingers through his hair.
"Yeah baby girl?"
I smiled knowing what was about to come next. I took in the moment before I dropped the bomb. We've been through so much together, and we're about to go through so much more. "I'm pregnant," I whispered as if it was a secret only he could know.
His eyes widen at what I had just said. He looked at me like I was crazy. I giggled at the very stupid look on his face. "W-We're gonna have a b-baby?" He asked quietly while
"We're gonna have a baby," I echoed with a smile.
"Brooklyn!" He yelled happily while hugging me tightly. "That's the best news I've ever heard!" I smiled while wrapping my arms his neck. I take it he's ok with this. The next thing I knew he's lips were on mine. It was a soft, sweet, and slow kiss that made me melt right then and there. When I couldn't breath anymore I pulled back and pressed my forehead onto his. "Nothing, and I mean nothing can make this moment happier," he said.
"We're having twins."
_____Seven Months Later_____
Sky's POV
I paced back and fourth of the hospital waiting room with my hands behind my back as screams came from behind the door of delivery room 421B. "Sky, sit down and eat something," Ben said as I continued to pace back and fourth. "You've been at it since five am. You need to rest."
"Rest?" I asked. "How can I rest when my wife is in there having trouble giving birth to our children?!" I asked loudly. "I should be in there calming her down, not out here, eating sandwiches from the cafeteria!"
"There's also pizza, soup, and salad if you don't want a sandwich," a seven month pregnant Dylan said. Yeah, Dylan is pregnant with twins, yes just like Brook is. Now that's cleared up I can go back to panicking. Everything was going fine until the doctor said there was a problem with the babies, the next thing I know a nurse is kicking me out while Ben and Josh hold me back from running back inside the room.
"You won't do Brook any good if you don't rest!" Alex yelled.
"What good can I do if I'm out here!" I yelled back. Brook's in there, giving birth, and having problems. What kind of problems?! Is one of the babies going to die? Or both of the babies? What if Brook doesn't make it? I wouldn't to be able to live with myself knowing the Brook died in child birth, and I couldn't do anything to help.
"When the babies are born she's going to need you!" Nick replied firmly.
"What if something happenings?" I asked loudly. "To the babies, or Brook?"
"The babies and Brook will be just fine," Nick replied. "Brooklyn's a strong girl, and the babies are apart of her, making them strong too."
"That's a good point," Josh said. "Now eat something before you pass out!" he yelled before throwing a sandwich box at me, next came a water bottle, and then a cookie packet, and then some breath mints. "Don't want your babies thinking their dad has bad breath," Josh said with a smirk.
"I tried to stop him," Julia said with a sigh.
"Thanks," was all I said. I sat down at got some in my stomach. I finished all the food quickly, looks like I was a lot hungrier than I thought I was. But that still doesn't settle the fact that Brooklyn, as in the woman I love is having problems with the twins. I'm well aware of the problems she had when she was born. In fact Brook was stressed the same thing would happen to her, or worse. I calmed her down the best I could, but I knew those thoughts still swirled around her brain. Now look, she's having problems of her own, and I couldn't do anything to help. The nurses couldn't even tell me if everything was alright. Some hospital this is.
I was just about to lose it when the door to Brooklyn's room opened to the doctor walking out. I quickly stood up and strengthened out my clothes as he walked up to me. "How's Brook? And the babies?" I asked quickly. "What happened? Are then ok?"
"Go see for yourself," the doctor said. Not even giving it a second thought I ran into the room as the nurses walked out and closed the door behind them. I stopped just a few feet into the room to see Brooklyn, with her sandy brown locks all messed up, her skin was all sweaty and red. I was so relived to see she was alright, and if I'm being honest with myself, she still looks as gorgeous as ever.
Before I knew it a pair of bluish eyes were looking right at him, with smile was spread across her perfect pink lips, and little freckles that pulled everything together. "Are you gonna stand there and gawk, or are you gonna come over here?" she teased. I smile as I walked over to Brooklyn. I pulled up a chair to sit in, before pulling her into a kiss. "How do you feel?" I asked after pulling away.
"Amazing," she replied while taking deep breaths.
"I was so worried something would happen to you," I said as I cupped her face into mine hand.
"I'm perfectly fine, Sky," she replied with a smile. "And so are you children." That's when I remembered the whole reason she was in a hospital. I looked down and saw there were two little bundles in each of her arms, all wrapped up in a blanket. The one closer to me had a little blue knitted cap, and the other one had one too, only it was pink.
"Can I hold them?" I asked. Brooklyn smiled as she handed our son.
"Be careful Sky," Brooklyn reminded. "Support the head."
"I know," I replied quietly as I looked down at my little boy. "Hi there. Aren't you just a little cuteie."
"He's hansom," Brook said with a smile. "Just like his father." she looked up at me with the biggest smile ever, and I couldn't help be lean in and kiss her forehead, which got me a little giggle from my beautiful wife.
"And this little angel is just as beautiful as her mother," I added.
Brooklyn looked down at her daughter with a smile on her face as she said, "She's going to have all the boys lining up," Brooklyn replied.
"Not on my watch," I said while looking down at the little angle in her arms. "Daddy's not gonna let any boys go near you princess." I heard Brooklyn giggle, but it was true, not way was I going to let anyone break my daughters heart. That's when I noticed something, interesting. I looked over at our son and saw he had it as well. "They have your freckles," I said to Brook. "And your cute little nose. Let's not forget your perfect pink lips, and I'm pretty sure they're gonna have your sandy brown locks."
"They have your dimples," Brooklyn replied. "And your face shape, and I'm almost sure they have your eyes."
"If they end up looking like Sky I'm gonna go die in a hole," Ben joked as he walked into the room with everyone else behind him.
"Shut up," I said. "I happen to look very hansom. After all I got this one to marry me," I said while tilting my head to Brooklyn.
"Sadly," Nick said.
"Nick, do you really want to mess with me when I just gave birth!" There's the Brooklyn I know and love. "So....what're you gonna name these two?" Nick asked changing the subject. I looked over at Brooklyn, and she nodded, giving me the ok. We had both agreed on names ages ago, and who's would relive who's name.
"This little one is Lucas John Flaherty," I replied. I looked up at Ben and said, "Ben, I couldn't have asked for anyone better to be my best friend for the past two years, and many more to come. Since you and Zoey are tying the knot soon, and after we talked it over, well...how would you like to be this little tykes God parents?" I asked.
"Of course," they both replied.
"Wanna hold him Ben?" I asked. Ben nodded and I got up from the chair, we met about half way and I handed my son to my best friend.
"He does have your face shape," Ben said.
"Thank you," Brooklyn replied as she smirked at me. But her face changed, and reading her mind I walked back to the bed so I could hold my daughter in my arms for the first time. Funny, I get to experience holding a new born for the first time twice. "Anyways, this little angel is-"
"Leah," I cut off. Brooklyn gave me a look, so I said, "Get it? We can call this one Luke Skywalker. And Leah Or-"
"Shut up," Brooklyn spat in annoyed look on her face. She then turned back to everyone else and said, "As I was saying, this little girl is Lillian Nichole Flaherty."
"Nichole?" Nick asked quietly.
I saw Brook had the biggest smile on her face as she said, "Nick, you've always been there for me, you picked me up when I was down in the dumps, you never let me give up when I wanted too. And, you were and still are, always there for me when I need you the most. I can always count on you for anything, any day or time, and I'm hoping you'll be there for your God daughter. That is, if you and Dylan want to be the God parents."
"Really?"
"Wouldn't want anyone else for the job," Brook replied.
"You wanna hold her?" I asked.
"Sure," Nick replied. When we were close enough to each other I handed my little princess to Nick. That day was just full of so much happiness and love. I knew I was going to remember this day for the rest of my life.
A couple of days later Brook and the babies were deemed healthy and free to finally come home. The both of us were all smiles as we buckled them into the car. When that was done I went into the drivers seat, with Brook right next to me, the babies were all buckled up in the back as show tunes softly played.
"Ready to go home my lovely wife?" I asked.
"Ready husband of mine," Brook replied with a smile on her face. With that being said I turned the key and pulled out of the hospital parking lot. I drove down the road with my wife and kids in the car, and I couldn't help but say "It's sure is a fine life."

Author's note
I can't believe this is the last chapter for Dreaming of a Redhead. This whole story was so much fun to write! I'm really glad that you all enjoyed this! Thanks for commenting, reading and voting for this. The first time I looked at the rankings for this story I was so shocked that a few times this had outranked Brooklyn's Here. So thank you everyone who took this to where it is now. You're comments always made me smile and laugh like crazy. I couldn't have asked for better supporters.
I'll see you all soon, either or Wattpad or FanFiction (but I'm guess mostly Wattpad) thanks again for everything! I'll see you all again soon. I have a few chapter written for a third story, but I'm so far I'm not really feeling it. I might post the chapters I already have, but it'll probably end up being a one shot book, so send in ideas if you want and I'll see what I can do.
Besides that, thank you so much voting, commenting and most importantly, thanks for reading. I'm glad you all enjoyed this as much I enjoyed reading it. I'll see you all again soon
