Will Jackie finally come to terms with everything by the end of this?

"I could save the world but lose you."

- The Doctor

10 Downing Street - London, England
March, 2006

A LARGE GREEN ALIEN took the place of the woman as she finished 'undressing,' tossing the skin suit away. It was unlike anything Lily had seen before- in her dreams and reality. It was over eight feet tall with a muscular build, long forearms, powerful sharp claws, and a baby-like face. Its long neck had a device around it like a cuff necklace. Its eyes were large and full black, and when it blinked it produced a third eyelid that moved sideways like a crow.

It, or 'she' Lily guessed, wasted no more time and swung out one of her arms at the ID man, pushing him against the wall and crushing his neck with ease. The three women screamed and before the alien could advance to them an electric current of some sort encased her body. It was her turn to scream and it was in complete pain.

Lily saw the opportunity and led Harriet and Rose, whom she was still holding her hand, safely passed the alien and out the door. The man with the ID that was fussing about Harriet was now dead- Lily and Rose didn't even know his name.

Their trek to a secure place to hide wasn't easy. They wove in and out of several rooms, coming across more of the green aliens, all before deciding on one room that they saw was empty. The office had a screen which Harriet rushed to hide behind. Lily pushed Rose down behind a desk. "Just breathe quietly and stay low, okay?" Lily kneeled to order Rose who nodded as her sister ran a calming hand down her hair. When Rose nodded as an answer Lily stood back up and hurried to a nearby curtain and hid herself behind.

She was almost too late when just one second after she secured her hiding place the alien barged inside. She was sniffing around like she tracked them by their scent alone. Lily held her breath eyeing the creature by peeking around her curtain. "Oh, such fun!" It was the first time she spoke as her true self and it was a crackling-like voice that shook Lily to her core. "Little human children." She called out in a sing-songy voice. "Where are you?" She inched further into the room and Lily eyed her large, three-toed feet. She was as fascinated as she was petrified. "Sweet little humeykins, come to me. Let me kiss you better." It was getting difficult to hold her breath- sweat trickled down her forehead. "Kiss you with my big, green lips!"

Lily looked in horror when the alien got closer to the desk where Rose was hiding. She made eye contact with her sister and nodded her head to the side. Rose, being as smart as Lily, followed her instructions and inched herself to the other end of the desk so the alien couldn't see her. The sound of footsteps made Lily look up as widened her eyes when two more of the same creatures entered the room. "My brothers!" The female alien greeted them.

"Happy hunting?" One of them asked as they, to Lily's dismay, shuffled further into the room.

"It's wonderful!" The female answered in pure joy at the situation. "The more you prolong it, the more they stink."

The other alien spoke for the first time, nearly clapping in delight. "Sweat and fear."

Hearing that, Lily used her free hand that wasn't holding the curtain back and wiped the sweat on her forehead. Rose moved more away to hide herself better on the opposite side of the desk. "I can smell an old girl." An alien announced, making sniffing noises. "Stale bird and brittle bones."

"And a ripe youngster," The first alien groaned in delight. "Two of them! All hormones and adrenaline. Fresh enough to bend before they snap."

The first alien was getting far too close to Rose for Lily to be okay with. She was about to be discovered. Lily didn't have a second thought when she pushed open the current to reveal herself. "Hey!" She screamed at it. "I'm right here you big, ugly thing!"

Someone must be looking after her cause before it could grab her the Doctor entered the room armed with a fire extinguisher. She laughed when he sprayed the closest alien with foam. She took that distraction to rip the curtain off its pole onto the creature that was going after her.

"Out with me!" The Doctor instructed them. Lily helped Rose up and they ran for the door, the Doctor (who sprayed more of the foam before abandoning the tank) and Harriet leaving after them. "Who the hell are you?" The Doctor asked.

"Harriet Jones, MP for Flydale North." Harriet introduced herself md-run.

"Nice to meet you."

"Likewise."

Traversing throughout 10 Downing, the corridors empty of everyone but the four of them, the Doctor said as he led the crew. "We need to head to the Cabinet Room."

"The Emergency Protocols are in there." Harriet fell into perfect pace with the trio. "They give instructions for aliens."

He laughed and turned down a corner towards the room in mention. "Harriet Jones, I like you."

She grinned and commented through her controlled breathing. "And I like you too."

It didn't take the three aliens long at all to regain their composure and chase after them. They were rather fast. They barely made it to the Cabinet door, which the Doctor opened using his sonic screwdriver. Lily and Rose closed the door while Harriet grabbed the large red briefcase, clutching it tight to her chest.

The Doctor opened the doors that separated the room from a conjoining one and paused when the three aliens circled around, now standing in front of them. The women stayed back as the time lord grabbed a decanter (glass jar full of wine) from a side table and stood in the archway- holding it up with his sonic pointing at it. "One more move and my sonic device will triplicate the flammability of this alcohol. Whoof, we all go up. So back off!" His voice scared them enough for them to reluctantly obey, taking a couple of steps back. "Right then." He smiled, lowering his "man-made" explosive. "Question time! Who exactly are the Slitheen?"

"They're aliens." Harriet pointed out.

"We got that Harriet." Lily patted her back- happy to now have a name for the aliens.

"Who are you, if not human?" One of the Slitheen asked.

"Who's not human?" Harriet whispered to the sisters.

"He's not human." Lily and Rose answered at the same time.

"He's not human?" Harriet gasped.

The Doctor looked back at them over his shoulder. "Could I have a bit of hush?"

"Sorry." Harriet obeyed.

The Doctor turned back to the Slitheen. "So, what's the plan?" The Slitheen looked at each other but stayed quiet which earned them an agitated groan from the Doctor. "Come on." He held up the jar and his sonic again, trying to make them sweat. "You've got a spaceship hidden in the North Sea. It's transmitting a signal. You've murdered your way to the top of government. What for, invasion?"

"Why would we invade this God-forsaken rock?" The second Slitheen sneered.

"Then something's brought the Slitheen race here. What is it?"

"The Slitheen race?" Another one of the aliens repeated.

"Slitheen is not our species." Another Slitheen spoke. "Slitheen is our surname. Jocrassa Fel Fotch Pasameer-Day-Slitheen at your service."

"So, you're a family?" Lily confirmed.

"A family business." One of them corrected her.

"Then you're out to make a profit. How can you do that on a God-forsaken rock?" The Doctor asked.

"Ah, excuse me?" One of the male Slitheen spoke, pointing to the decanter with its claw. "Your device will do what? Triplicate the flammability?"

"Is that what I said?" The Doctor frowned.

"You're making it up!" The Slitheen accused.

"Ah, well! Nice try." Once he realized he's been caught in a fib he reached around and tried to hand the decanter to Harriet, keeping his eyes on the Slitheen. "Harriet, have a drink. I think you're gonna need it." He didn't know her hands were full with the briefcase and couldn't take the wine.

She corrected him. "You pass it to the left first."

"Sorry. Here you go, Red." He extended the decanter to her. Lily took it from his hand and looked next to her at Rose, raising a brow.

"Now we can end this hunt with a slaughter." The same Slitheen snarled.

"Don't you think we should run?" Rose asked, taking a tight hold of Lily's arm.

"Fascinating history, Downing Street." The Doctor ignored her- speaking to the aliens eager to kill them. "Two thousand years ago, this was marsh land. 1730, it was occupied by a Mister Chicken." He smiled fondly. "He was a nice man. 1796, this was the Cabinet Room. If the Cabinet's in session and in danger, these are about the four most safest walls in the whole of Great Britain. End of lesson." The Doctor then lifted a panel by the archway and hit the button.

Lily backed up as metal shutters slammed close in front of the doors and windows. "Installed in 1991!" The Doctor continued with a smile, now facing his three companions. "Three inches of steel lining every single wall. They'll never get in."

"Yeah Doc but," Lily handed the decanter to Rose. She then stepped up and patted the Doctor's shoulder- her other hand high on her hip. "How do we get out?"

The Doctor only now seemed to realize that small problem. "Ah." He said weakly, keeping his grin.
