An Autumn leaf landing quietly in the green grass below,

She came into my life vibrantly,

Signaling the end of a season.

Distracted by the hue of her eyes,

I didn't notice the danger dawning.

They came at her darkly,

Their death on her hands,

She broke them in two,

With the bite of her lip,

And the blood in her skin.
