III: Stalker

Qimir's P.O.V

As Elysia--or at least, the woman that looked exactly like her--left the shop, Qimir immediately left the shop as well and decided to follow her. His mind raced as the image of their earlier encounter burned into his head. When he first laid his eyes upon her, he genuinely thought he was just hallucinating. He must've gotten drunk and somehow fell into a vivid dream. However, that was proven wrong as soon as she swatted his hand away, and the illusion didn't dissolve right in front of his eyes.

He wanted to touch her, hug her, kiss her..... wanted to drown himself in those beautiful brown eyes... He wanted to hold her in place and keep her from leaving, but what stopped him was the inkling feeling that she was, indeed, not the same Elysia he knew.

Is she really not Elysia?

The last time he'd seen her was a very long time ago, but even then, he was certain that he had lost her forever. But that woman in the shop--her eyes, her stature, and even the way she talked; it was all exactly the same, as if it was the first time he met her all over again.

Then why did this woman look exactly like her?

Qimir's head couldn't wrap around that fact. Was this the same case as Mae and Osha? Did Elysia, in fact, have a twin? If so, then Qimir has an odd tendency to cross paths with twins. Even so, she didn't look the same age as him. If anything, she looked exactly Elysia's age when he first met her. The timeline just doesn't line up.

Why hasn't he seen her before, and where did she come from?

Well, that's what he ought to find out.

Despite the crowded streets, Qimir made sure that he never lost sight of her, but at the same time kept a good distance so she wouldn't find out that she was being stalked. And yes, Qimir was well aware that he was being a complete stalker.

As they reached the city market, he saw her swiftly grab two apples from a fruit stall, catching his amusement at how expertly she did it. She seemed to have done this a hundred times before.

Is she, perhaps.... a thief?

Just a moment later, she disappeared into a narrow alley. Qimir rushed to catch up with her, but sighed in relief as he saw that she just chose a good spot to sit down and eat on top of a fire exit. He watched her in amusement as she quietly ate her apple, her eyes looking at a distance. He followed her line of gaze and realized that she was looking at the loading dock.

Maybe she was planning to leave?
Well, in that case, he'd have to follow her. He has to find out what planet she came from.

Qimir then noticed a stray thradian child rummaging through the trashbins, just at the same time she noticed too. His head tilted in curiosity as he watched her hand over her last apple to the child.

Elysia was like that too. She always projected herself as firm and distant, but deep inside she had a kindness she was willing to give despite it will cost herself.

"Hey, watch where you're going!"

A large gamorrean creature growled as the child bumped into him. He was along with two more large creatures, all of whom Qimir recognized as dock guards. And he knew that when dock guards patrol like this, there is trouble imminent to happen anytime.

"That's her! She's up there!"

Without skipping a beat, the mysterious woman climbed the roof of the building and started running. This caught Qimir off guard. A thief and a fugitive?

It brought a smile to his face how this woman just managed to become even more interesting to him.

Qimir started to chase after them as well, but chose a different path from the dock guards while still maintaining his sight of her. She was quite fast, and even Qimir struggled to keep up with her on foot. He grunted as he could only wish he could levitate right then, but there were too many people around.

She suddenly changed to a different path opposite where Qimir was going, causing him to meet a dead end. He cursed as he tried to find an alternate route, and thankfully found a very narrow back alley along several buildings, but this slowed him down significantly.

All of a sudden he heard metal clanking from not so far away, shortly followed by a loud thud, like a body falling harshly onto the ground. Qimir's blood ran cold as he realized they must have caught her already. He could only hope he was not yet too late.

"NO!!!!!!!!" he heard her scream, and just in time as he climbed the fence, he saw her force push the dock guard several feet backwards.

She's a.... force user?

"Jedi scum!!!"

Qimir did not have time to process his shock as the dock guard charged towards her once again. Lifting his hood over his face, Qimir force pushed the guard to make enough space to put himself in front of her. Qimir couldn't help but smirk at the confused face of the dock guard upon seeing him inhumanly jump from the fence and towards where he stands now, but it wouldn't really matter because he wasn't going to live long anyway.

Despite the brute strength of the gamorrean guard, he found it so easy do subdue him. He was too slow, and Qimir's movement was fast and efficient, wasting no time to snap his neck.

Qimir glanced back at the woman laying on the ground, fighting for her consciousness, and upon seeing how much blood was dripping from her hands and onto the stone ground, anger fueled his veins.

Just in time, the two other guards arrived, and they charged towards him at the same time. He dodged the axe while he kicked the head of the other one, making him stumble backwards and give Qimir enough space to deal with the axe-wielder first. He swiftly kicks the other leg of the axe-weilder, causing him to fall forward and Qimir took this momentum to twist his neck as he fell.

Qimir ominously faced the remaining one, who had fear written across his face much to Qimir's satisfaction. He punched him in the face and quickly grabbed his arm, twisting and breaking his shoulder in the process. As Qimir manhandled him to fall on his knees, he was quick to snap his neck as well.

It didn't even take him two minutes.

Qimir stepped over the lifeless bodies and towards the woman, who was already unconscious. As he kneeled over her, his jaw clenched at a closer sight of how deep the cuts on her palm were. She must have attempted to grab onto the edge of a metal roof.

He gently touched her hands and force healed the deep wounds, then grabbed an extra cloth he had to wipe off the excess blood. His gaze moved to her sleeping face, and he saw the assortments of fresh and old wounds. He reached out to gently graze her cheek with the back of his hand.

'Oh Elysia, what have you been doing without me?'

Sighing, he scooped his hands under her legs and back to carry her. He held her close to his chest as he headed back to his ship.
