Chapter 9

****UPDATED EARLY IN CELEBRATION OF THE COMEBACK ****

Sophie carefully tapped the door, not wanting to startle anyone inside, but when she heard no response she decided to knock louder. There was nothing but a faint melody playing from the room, meaning that there had to be someone in there.

She clutched the handle and muttered to herself, "Oh, why not."

Cautiously entering the room, she found herself in a smaller room than Rapmon's studio. Or so it seemed, with a keyboard taking up most of the space. The studio was tidy enough, with a small space to keep various knickknacks that allowed the person to customize the space. What was most impressive was the large TV attached to the computer on the desk, which looked like it had three different keyboards off of it.

She took another step into the studio, not seeing anyone in it although the screens were on and active.

"Anyone here?" She asked timidly and a small groan answered her.

Peering over the desk chair, she saw a man sprawled over one of the keyboards his messy black hair contrasting with the pale skin of his arm. He had been covered by the the baseball jersey that hung over the back of the chair. So this was Min Suga. His face was peaceful as he slept, unlike the cold expression that was on his face the other day.

"Poor guy," Sophie murmured, seeing the unfinished work on the screen.

She would get his information later. For now, she wanted to let him sleep, the lifestyle of an idol must be exhausting. The man shivered as a particularly cold draft came in through the vent, the building was insanely well air conditioned but sometimes it was too much.

Sophie frowned, biting her lip, then looked down to her patterned cardigan. An idea popped up in her head and she wrote down a note for him to find her when he woke up and placed it beside him. She put down the files on a music stand and slipped off the warmed garment, carefully laying it over the sleeping man and tiptoed out.

Yoongi groaned as his alarm woke him up in time for dance practice, back already feeling sore from the uncomfortable position he fell asleep in. He couldn't blame anyone but himself for that, he knew that sleeping in the studio would mean he would be uncomfortable, sore and cold. But he wasn't cold, not at all, now that he thought about it.

Something was draped over him, and his hand automatically touched his shoulder to feel it. A blanket? He sat up, and pulled the fabric off of himself. It was a weirdly shaped blanket thing, with a tag in the middle, making it more of a garment than a blanket. He held it up in front of him, looking at it closely. No one he knew owned something like this, and it definitely wasn't big enough to be worn by one of the other members.

He tilted his head and closed his eyes, sighing as he stretched. Upon opening them, he spotted a small note that had been placed on his desk.

Hello Suga-ssi,

I needed to see you about some missing information in your travel profile but came in while you were sleeping (sorry). The cardigan is mine, can you please come see me in my office? It's in the 3rd floor.

Sincerely,

Ryu Sophie

The note was simple enough, on simple lined paper with a little green penguin character on the bottom corner. Yoongi scratched his head, confused as to why someone he hadn't even met would do something like this.

Frowning as he looked at the time, he got up, neatly folding the garment into a small square and went to go to dance practice.

"Good morning Sleeping Beauty," Namjoon greeted him as he entered the dance hall.

He grumbled in reply, sitting down to wait for the practice to actually begin.

"I don't know how you do it, it's freezing down here," Jimin remarked.

Suga looked up at the group, "Have you guys talked to the new girl yet?"

"Jungkook almost flattened her," Jin said, causing the others to laugh.

The maknae ducked his head down in embarrassment ,"I didn't mean to."

"Is she strange?"

The others gave him a weird look, "No?"

"Why?" Jimin asked, looking at the older man.

"It's nothing, but she came looking for me, something about missing travel information?"

Taehyung nodded, "Yea, she was completing those forms earlier."

"That's not strange," Namjoon said, "She's the liaison."

"Aniya, she came in while I was sleeping and covered me with her cardigan," Yoongi explained.

"Whoa really?" Jungkook asked, his eyes wide.

"But she hasn't even met you?" Hoseok looked at his hyung, eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"That's what I'm saying."

"She must be really kind," Jimin said, nodding in awe.

Jin looked at the black haired man, "Yah, you better tell her thanks. None of that cold guy nonsense."

"Yea yea, I'll visit her later."

Sophie bit her lip, typing rapidly into the computer. She was currently sending emails to all kinds of hotels, to see which ones were the best at security and confidentiality. Another notification popped up on her tablet, a call from one of the places she had emailed earlier in the day.

She activated the earpiece and answered the call, "Moshi moshi?"

The manager on the other side was delighted to see her email and promised to provide excellent service and care to the band, but wanted to use it to promote the hotel, which was the exact opposite of what Sophie had wanted.

She pinched the bridge of her nose in frustration as the manager started debating with her. After arguing for another 10 minutes, she was on the verge of yelling back.

"No, being the highest ranked hotel in the area does not mean that you are entitled to the first pick of hotels," Sophie exasperatedly explained.

The woman almost started another argument as Sophie continued, "I will call you back if we decide to use your services. Yes thank you. Bye now. Yes, bye."

She quickly ended the call, putting her head into her hands to let out a small scream of frustration.

"Is this a bad time?"

She looked up to see Min Suga standing in her door. She gave a weak smile and waved him in, standing up to greet him.

"Aniyo, a hotel was just being... difficult."

He entered the office and she bowed slightly, "Nice to finally meet you, I'm Ryu Sophie."

"Min Yoongi," he introduced himself, "My stage name is Suga, though."

"Come on in."

The black haired male coughed awkwardly and handed a familiar looking garment back to her, neatly folded into a square, "Ah, thank you."

She took it and smiled, "It was no problem, now do you have your ID on you?"

Sophie pulled out the file as he took out his wallet, "You know, you're the only member that didn't fully intimidate me when we first met."

He blinked as she started copying down information, "Why?"

"Well, for one, you were sleeping."

Yoongi just stared at her, not expecting the sass.

"And two, the others came to me," she explained, looking up at him.

"What?"

"What?"

"What do you mean what?" He retorted, instinctively talking informally to her.

"What do you mean by what?" She asked, confused now.

"Ah, never mind," he gave up, taking the ID from her.

She shook her head, "You shouldn't be so cryptic."

"I wasn't cryptic, you just can't understand basic things," he said bluntly.

"I understand things that aren't cryptic."

"You didn't even understand me when I asked you what."

"What about what?"

He looked at the ceiling and let out a breath, "You know what, it's nothing."

She shrugged, the atmosphere of professionalism gone, "Okay, but you're the one that made this conversation weird."

"I am not weird," he said indignantly, "It's you that's weird."

"How am I weird?" She shot back, chin raised to make eye contact with the older man while still sitting in her chair.

"Who puts a blanket on someone she hasn't even met?"

"That's not weird, you looked cold!" She shot back, "Plus I already had kinda met you."

"When?"

"When you were spying on me the first day I came here."

Suga's face went red, "I wasn't the one that was spying."

"Yea sure, Suga-ssi."

"I wasn't!"

"I said sure you weren't," she answered, arching an eyebrow at him.

"Aish," he frowned at her, "Thanks for the blanket, I'm going."

He turned and left the small office quickly, not even giving her time to say anything.

"It was nice meeting you," Sophie called, shaking her head at the man's strange behavior.

She went back to her work, sending a request to get information from each member's passports before she saw the flood of emails awaiting her in her inbox. Unbeknownst to her, a small smile had formed on her face as she worked.

Yoongi sat in his studio, contemplating the conversation he just had. What was it about that girl? She was nothing like what he was expecting when Bang PD-nim had announced her arrival. He sighed, leaning back into his chair and frowned. Her personality was so different than the other girls he was used to meeting.

There was something about her, he thought before he realized what he was doing.

"Agh, Min Yoongi what are you doing?" He muttered to himself, going back to his work for a distraction.
