Chapter 7

The soft glow of the beginnings of the sunset shone in the windows, putting a light pink filter on the office. Sophie hummed, getting her purse from where she had left it and got ready to leave. Since there wasn't much else to be done after she had filed everything, the staff members decided to let her go home earlier. They had promised that everything would be prepared for her tomorrow, so she could start working on her job.

Taehyung had left for dance practice a couple hours earlier, and she wondered how long they went for. From what she had heard, their practice hours were notorious. After spending time with him, she felt more relaxed about her move here.

The elevator dinged and she got on, pulling out her phone to search for a grocery store to get some food for the house. There was one a couple blocks from her bus stop and she frowned at the thought of having to carry a bunch of groceries home, she would have to invest in a bike.

"Oh well," she mused to herself, content with the plan.

The doors opened to the sound of yelling. Sophie blinked, cautiously looking out of the elevator doors to investigate. Seeing no one, she stepped out just in time for another guy to come running out of the dance hall doors.

"Food! Food! Food!" He shouted joyfully, closing his eyes and fist pumping in happiness.

"Jeon Jungkook!" Another boy yelled, making the first one turn around, not noticing Sophie was in his way.

Before she knew it, there was a very tall young man barreling towards her.

"Ah! Watch out!" She gasped, pushing her arms out in an attempt to stop him.

"Wha-" He exclaimed, quickly stopping himself.

When she wasn't run over, Sophie tentatively opened her eyes, not daring to put her arms down. The man had stopped himself just inches from her hands, and was looking at her with wide eyes, his light brown hair messily down.

She let out a breath of relief, putting down her arms, "Thank goodness."

"Joesonghamnida," he immediately said, bowing to her.

She stared at him, and bowed as well, "Aniyo, I'm sorry for getting in the way."

"Are you Ryu Sophie?" He asked, tilting his head a little to look at her.

"De," she replied as the other boy came jogging down to join them.

"Yah, watch where you're going Jungkook-ah," he scolded, his pink hair also messy.

Sophie looked at the both of them, wondering who they were. They both had sweats and plain t-shirts on, and while the both of them seemed fine, she could see beads of sweat on the sides of their faces.

The second boy was older, she deduced as they kept bickering with each other. They were of equal height and while the first one was muscled, the second one's wide shoulders made him look bigger.

"Oh, joesonghamnida," the pink haired one said, bowing to Sophie as he finally noticed her.

"Ah, it's nothing," she bowed back, flustered.

"You made me look bad in front of Sophie-ssi," the brunet whined, before looking back at her, "My name is Jeon Jungkook."

"Nice to meet you," she said, bowing slightly again, just out of habit.

"I'm Kim Seokjin, or Jin," the other boy added, moving his hair out of his face.

She bowed again before cautiously asking, "Sorry, but are you two in Bangtan?"

"Yup," Jungkook answered informally, earning him a smack, "Hyung!"

"You have to respect your elders," Jin reprimanded the young man, confirming her suspicions that Jungkook was indeed younger; however, this just led to another fight between the two.

Sophie just stood there for a moment observing them, before she remembered she had to get to the store and home before dark.

"Um, pardon me," she interrupted, getting their attention, "It was nice meeting you, but I'm going to have to excuse myself."

With that, she bowed in goodbye and hurried to the door. The two members looked at each other.

"Hyung, do you think we scared her away?"

"I think we did."

"Aish," Sophie groaned to herself, as she reached home, "Are idols usually that weird?"

She dropped her groceries on the counter and sighed, stretching her sore body. The walk from the store was longer than she had expected. She rubbed her neck, debating whether or not to shower first or eat.

The disgusting feel of sweat finally won her over and after a refreshing shower, Sophie felt decidedly better. She had changed into her favorite pair of pajamas, a pale yellow top with Polar Bear on it and green shorts to match, so her night was already looking up. She sensibly pulled the white curtains over the floor length windows and got to cooking up her dinner.

The BTS members stumbled into their dorm, exhausted after another day of hard work. Even then, their moods were high and they were excitedly talking among themselves.

"I call the shower first!" Namjoon declares, throwing his fist in the air as soon as they enter.

"I call the other one!" Taehyung cries, running to his room.

Catching on quickly, Jungkook calls the next shower, leaving the others to complain.

Jin plops himself down on the couch, "Ah jinjja, these kids."

Jimin joins him, "It's okay hyung, you got to shower first yesterday."

"But why do they only have two showers for the 7 of us?" Suga remarks, getting a water from the fridge.

"Who knows, it's better than our old dorm," Jhope answers, the others agreeing immediately.

Yoongi opens his water, going to the window out of habit to stare at the city. It was true, they all had to share one room once, but since their success the company has been improving, Bang PD-nim especially trying to take care of his idols.

Taking a drink from the bottle, a different light catches Yoongi's eyes. Just across the street from them, the lights are on in a small house that Suga knew was uninhabited. He stared at it for a moment.

"Hoseok-ah," he suddenly said, noticing him at the fridge, "Did Bighit sell that empty house?"

"What?" The younger man remarked, going to join Yoongi.

He peered at the small house and tilted his head, "Aniyo, I don't think they did."

"What are you talking about?" Jin asked, him and Jimin getting up to look as well.

"Look," Yoongi simply said, pointing down.

Jin bent down to look closer, "Huh."

"Maybe they did and we just have a new neighbor," Jimin shrugged.

The three boys lose interest as Jimin makes the simple conclusion, but Yoongi can't tear his eyes off the strange light.

"Maybe," he mused to himself.
