Chapter 5
A bright ray of light shone through the blinds of Sophie's "dorm" waking her up from her deep sleep. She groaned and turned over to avoid the sun, groggily reaching for her phone.

She still had 15 minutes before her alarm was supposed to go off. Smiling with joy at the thought of being able to laze around for a couple more minutes, she closed her eyes and reached for her polar bear plush with no avail. Opening her eyes again to find the Summiko Gurashi stuffed animal, she froze, noticing her strange surroundings.
Blank white walls glared back at her, the emptiness only amplifying the stark harshness of the white. Even her blankets were white. It took her a moment to realize that this wasn't her nice apartment in the US, but the small house that was given to her.
Going with the staff member yesterday, she had thought she would have had one of the apartments in the building nearby and just stared in shock as she was handed the key to the house. It was a small one story house, but it was incredibly spacious for just one person to be living there.
The entrance had a small hallway that led out to a nice open floor plan with a full kitchen put into the left corner. There were plenty of counters and cupboards to cook, and the layout added space for a sink in the kitchen, a gas stove and a modern stainless steel fridge. With the kitchen nicely tucked into the wall and corner, the rest of the house had plenty of room for a dining/living area, the back wall made of floor length windows. With the wood floor and the plentiful light that shone through the windows, the open plan looked a lot bigger than it actually was.
On the right of the front door was a sliding door closet, and upon looking inside, Sophie was delighted to find a large shelf for her shoes and space for her coats and jackets. The bathroom was right next to the closet, slim white wood door opening up to a rather large bathroom. The necessities of a bathroom were all there, a sink, shower and toilet; all white to contrast the turquoise of the walls. There was a small window that let in natural lighting right above the bathtub, which had a small shelf right next to it so one could put their toiletries.
The bedroom was next, with wide double doors on the right wall of the living area. The double doors looked more like patio doors, filled with windows, but luckily also had white curtains if privacy was needed.
Sophie absolutely adored it already. It reminded her of a cottage more than a modern house on a busy street in Seoul. All she had to do now was wait for the rest of her furniture to come in and she'd be ecstatic.
Smiling to herself about her luck in finding this position, she slowly sat up and got out of bed. She was told that she didn't have to come in until 9, but would have to take public transportation until another way was found and needed to get breakfast, so she hurried to get ready.
She had decided on a dark blue shirt and a black skater skirt with light blue high top converse, the CEO hadn't stated a dress code but told her to wear comfortable shoes as she was going to be moving around a lot. With her trusty nude cross body bag, she headed out the door ready to take on the world.
"We get to meet her today?" Jin asked, stretching his legs well.
The manager nodded, "Yes, she should be arriving soon, so start your dance practice now."
The order was met by a series of groans, but the boys all took their spots without further complaining, practicing hard.
Sophie rocked back and forth to the rhythm of the music, lost to the world as she was immersed in her earbuds. She had found a cute little bakery on her way to the office and happily munched on the blueberry muffin she had gotten.
"Ah, Sophie-ssi!" The staff member from the day before greeted her as she entered the building.
She bowed, "Good morning."
"Your job today is help around the office, okay? Just see what has to be done and ask around to see if you can do anything to help people," she explained, leading the way to the offices.
"Put your bag here and get to work please."
"Ne~"
"And break!"
The members gasped for air after another intensive practice, they had just run through most of their dances nonstop. V plopped on the ground dramatically, arm thrown over his face as he caught his breath.
The dance teacher stood, unapologetic, at the head of the dance hall, "Good job today! Head upstairs for lunch and then you have the rest of the afternoon to work on whatever you please."
The boys nodded in relief, and got up to head to their much needed food.
Sophie groaned, she was done with more than half of the 'need-to-file' stack but the papers seemed to multiply every time she put some away. She put down the folder she was holding and rubbed her eyes, she had spent all morning on this.
"It's nothing, I can do it," she thought, "I just need coffee."
She was sure she had seen a coffeemaker somewhere around, but the endless desks and turns just made her confused. After wandering around for 15 minutes, she decided to turn back and just make do until she was done. And that is how she ended up incredibly lost in the building, she had no idea where she was but she didn't want to bother the other staff members anymore than she already had.
"Aishh- where am I?" She frowned, going around yet another corner.
Loud laughter erupted from a room and the sliding door opened, a group of boys pouring out each of them cracking up at some joke. One of them, the only one with black hair was the only one that noticed her, but he just looked at her, not saying anything to the others.
Sophie froze, they looked her age so they must be the idol group. She quickly spun on her heels to go back the way she came.
"Oh, Sophie-ssi!"
