Chapter 4

"And that's the end of the tour!"

Sophie was startled by the CEO's sudden outburst and smiled quickly at him, "It's an incredible place."

It truly was, built with large office spaces and a very simplistic, minimalist dance hall, vocal rooms and studios. She had never seen any place so spacious and professional for artists to work. But to be completely honest, she had gotten lost even with the detailed tour she was just given.

Chuckling at her expression the older man patted her shoulder, "It's okay, I know it's big."

"I'm going to need a little time to get used to where everything is," she admitted.

"That's okay, most people do," he looked at his watch, "You must be tired. I'll send someone to bring you to your housing. In the meantime, feel free to wander around. The boys should be around here somewhere, I gave them the day off to do as they like."

Sophie smiled at the man's kindness and bowed, "Thank you for your kindness, I will do my best to live up to your expectations CEO Bang."

He smiled at her, "I don't have all of your international things sorted out yet, so just do whatever the staff tell you to do tomorrow. Be there by 9."

"Yes sir!"

Sophie meandered around, marveling at the overly simplistic yet modern look the building had. The exposed gray brick and industrial themed lighting gave the studio a very professional look but she wasn't feeling very intimidated. No, she was feeling rather unusually enthusiastic. She smiled gently running her hand on the bricks as she walked down the hallway leading to the dance room.

"Oh," a male voice said from behind her.

Turning around she saw a guy coming from the studios, his hair dyed a peculiar shade of green. She shrunk a little looking at him, the guy literally towered over her.

"Hello," she greeted him formally, bowing slightly.

"Are you the new staff-," he asked, shaking his head before he could finish his question.

Her eyes widened slightly as he repeated the question in perfect English.

"Yes, I am. I understand Korean too," she responded in Korean, not sure how she was to respond to this.

He nodded, suddenly smiling at her before going back to Korean, "Really? I'm Rap Monster, Kim Namjoon. I just thought that you might be more comfortable speaking in English, as you're from the States."

She recognized his name as the leader of BTS and smiled back at him, she was supposed to be friendly right?

"Nice to meet you, I'm Ryu Sophie," she responded, remembering to arrange her name correctly.

They chatted amicably and he led her around the voice rooms and dance hall, the one place that CEO Bang had brushed over just in case there were people working in them. Rap Monster's eloquence and word fluency greatly impressed Sophie, but there was a timidness about him that made things a little awkward as they talked.

"So what exactly were you looking for?" He asked, as they finished their mini tour.

She shrugged, "I was told to wander around, though I was hoping to run into someone so I could at least meet one of you before I actually started working."

He nodded, "It's good that you met me first then, the others are weird."

The emphasis he put on weird made Sophie laugh a little, "What do you mean by that?"

"Honestly, they are really weird," he insisted, "The hyung line and I are convinced that the younger ones aren't human sometimes."

"Hyung line?" She asked, confused.

"Yea, there's 4 of us in that line. One of them is in the 94 line like me," he explained, "It'll make sense when you meet all of them."

She nodded, "Okay, Rap Monster-ssi."

"RapMon or Namjoon is good enough, Rap Monster is kind of a mouthful," he laughed, rubbing the back of his head.

"Sophie-ssi?" A female voice asked from behind them, making the pair turn around.

An older woman stood at the end of the hallway, her name tag identifying her as a staff member. She smiled at the two, "I'm here to take you to your housing."

"Oh, yes," Sophie replied, copying Rap Monster's bow of respect, "I'll be right there."

She turned to the boy next to her and bowed as well, "It was a pleasure meeting you."

He smiled warmly, "I'll see you tomorrow then."

"Yes, tomorrow," she grinned, quickly going to meet the other staff member.

He watched them go and turned to go into his studio, smiling to himself, "I think I'm going to like having her around."

"You already met her?" The maknae line gasped as they prepared for dinner.

Rap Monster nodded, "Yea, I ran into her while she was exploring the dance hall."

"And you didn't tell us?" V asked, pouting.

"I didn't know where you were."

"You could have called us," Jhope stated, pointing an accusatory finger at his friend.

"That would have been weird."

"Why are you guys all worked up over this? It's a girl, on our staff," Suga frowned at his member's weird behavior.

"It's a new girl," V retorted, "And PD nim said that she was our age, so it makes things even better."

Suga just shook his head, not getting all the fuss over this. He was excited for someone else their age, but again the files didn't say anything about her personality so he wouldn't get his hopes up. For all they knew she could be awful and then they'd be stuck with her.

"Yoongi-ah?" Jin asked for the 3rd time, waving a hand in front of the guy's eyes, "Yup, he's out."

Suga tsked, tapping away his hyung's hand, "I'm not out."

"She's cuter than her pictures from what we saw," Jimin mused, "Though I'm disappointed we only got a glimpse of her for the hour we spent outside PD-nim's office."

Jin smacked him, "Stop, that makes us sound like creeps."

"Hyung you are a creep."

"Aish, this kid!"
