Chapter 18

"This is taking longer than expected," Manager Sejin sighed, looking at the tired members.

What meant to be a 3 hour set of individual interviews had stretched to 5, and they still had 2 members to go. The band sat around the room, bored and hungry as dinner had to be postponed because of the delay

Sophie looked at the interviewer that was obviously distressed at her technicians not doing their jobs well. She had assured the reporter that it wasn't her fault earlier, but she couldn't help feeling bad.

Another manager looked at his watch, "With the way this is going we might have to cancel the dinner reservation."

Manager Sejin sighed again and nodded, disappointed.

"Sophie-ah, go get snacks and drinks for the boys," he finally decided, "We might need to call in delivery too, but snacks will have to do for now."

"Yes sir," she answered, thinking it was an excellent idea.

Suga looked up from the couch he was lounging on, "Can I go too? It's so stuffy in here."

"If it's fine with Sophie," the manager answered, "Just be careful out there, I don't want to cause a commotion."

"Grab your mask and sunglasses," Sophie said, grabbing her bag and tablet.

Itsumi waited outside of the hotel that BTS was allegedly staying at. Though she had seen them but two weeks before and had tickets to see them again tomorrow, she couldn't wait and was going to take the small chance that they were here. Dressed to her best with her makeup done, she stood patiently outside the hotel's doors, wondering how she was going to do this.

Just as she found the confidence to walk in, two people walked out of the doors. The girl had on an over-sized gray sweater, her pale yellow high tops adding a little bit of color to the outfit. The guy was dressed black, with a black mask and cap contrasting his almost white blond hair and pale skin.

The two were talking rather comfortably with one another as they headed away from where she was standing. Together they looked like an ideal couple. She couldn't see their faces clearly from the angle she was standing at, but she felt that she knew them.

"Excuse me?" She called out, startling the two of them, "Do you know if BTS is staying in this hotel?"

Out of nowhere the man choked and bent over as the girl turned around. Looking at her up close, Itsumi couldn't shake the feeling of familiarity, she was sure she had seen the girl before. She had a pretty face, long lashes framing round eyes that complimented her delicate features.

"Pardon me?" The girl asked, her voice light.

"The band, Bangtan Sonyeondan, are they here?"

The man stood up and turned around, a pair of sunglasses now covering his face even though it was cloudy out.

The girl shook her head, "I don't think so, sorry."

"Oh.." Itsumi nodded, her suspicions growing as she took a look at the man, "Is he okay?"

"Yes, he's just fine," the girl said, "He just... has a migraine."

"A migraine?"

"Y-yea, with the light sensitivity you know?"

Sophie smiled nervously at the obvious fan, wondering how she would get out of this one. Suga stood next to her with his covered face, his blond hair luckily not revealed to the public yet.

"What's she saying?" He asked in Korean, making her stiffen as the fan looked at him.

"I'll tell you later, now hush," she replied, "If you blow our cover, I will personally kill you. Do you know how long it took me to get us in this hotel discreetly?"

He didn't respond and she laughed awkwardly as the fan looked back at her.

"You are Korean?" She asked, making Sophie mentally kick the man next to her.

"Yea, we're on vacation here," she answered, "Why?"

"Nothing, I just wanted to confirm that you two are dating."

"Dating?" Sophie's eyes widened in surprise.

The fan looked at her funny, "Yes, why would a guy and a girl come out of a hotel together otherwise?"

"Yea, you're right.." Sophie answered shakily, a bad feeling brewing in her gut.

"Do you know BTS?" The girl asked suddenly, "Are you sure you haven't seen them?"

"I've heard of them."

"You haven't seen them though?"

"No, I told you already, I haven't," Sophie said, the conversation turning sour.

"And you're sure they aren't in there?"

"What?"

"I'm certain that they are in there," the girl said aggressively, making shivers go down Sophie's spine at her tone.

"I'm sorry," Sophie stuttered, "But we're going to go, bye!"

She grabbed Suga's arm and walked the other way quickly, trying to get away from that fan as fast as she could. She didn't know how the conversation had dragged on like that, but just the way the girl spoke and poked around at a stranger's personal life wasn't right. There was something off and Sophie did not like it.

"What was that about?" Suga asked, taking off his sunglasses, "It seemed like you were tense."

"I was," she confessed, "I don't know what it was."

"There was something off," he agreed, "She might be a saesang fan."

Sophie just shivered, not being able to shake off the feeling, making the older man look at her worriedly.

"Ah chincha," she sighed.

Yoongi hesitated before he patted her arm awkwardly, "Sophie-ah, you don't have to worry about it so much."

Her head shot up to look at him, "Sophie...ah?"

"Myo?"

"I'm not Sophie-ssi anymore?" She asked, excitement in her eyes.

The man immediately recoiled as he realized what she meant, "A-Aniya, I don't know what you mean!"

The girl grinned up at him, "Well then, I guess Turnip Prince here is slowly starting to fall for my charms."

"Stop it!"

"Or should I call you Turnip-oppa from now on?"

Yoongi blushed hard at the comment, "Ah-ah chincha! Let's just go just those snacks."
