Chapter 14
The press meeting went off without a hitch, and Sophie had made it clear to the reporters that she would not tolerate any rude or inappropriate behavior and questions when it came to the band. They had seemed confused when such a young girl had stepped up to the podium and announced herself as the official BTS International Agent but with her confident professional composure, Sophie had earned their respect almost immediately.
She now sat in the large hotel room that the band had gathered in, her fellow 95 liners coming to grab her immediately after dinner, when she had changed back into her casual attire. Squished in between the two boys, she leaned on Taehyung's shoulder, sleepy after eating.
"We should watch a movie!" Rapmon suggested, gesturing towards the stacks of movies the managers had picked up for the boys' night in.
"There's I Saw the Devil, Chaser, Rose Flower, Red Lotus," Jungkook reads the titles, "Why are these all horror movies??"
"Oh! There's Howl's Moving Castle!" Jin exclaims, pointing towards the classic Studio Ghibli film. "Let's watch that one, it's my favorite."
"And Sophie's in it," Jimin added.
"You're Lettie then," Sophie said, without skipping a beat, making the others laugh.
"Jin-hyung can be the Witch of the Waste," Jungkook exclaimed, the eldest automatically crying out in defiance. "Aniya, hyung, because you're the oldest and she looks like a great grandma."
"What the? Yah, you! I raised you on my back and you do this to me?"
"Who am I?" Hoseok asks, breaking off the bickering, "Sophie, decide characters for everyone."
She frowned a little and thought, "You would be Markl, since he's always happy and excited."
"I can see RapMon as Madame Suliman, the royal sorceress. She's the leader of the sorcerers in the kingdom. Taehyung would be Calcifer."
The two men look satisfied with their choices, Taehyung even breaking out into a small dance from "Fire", being the extra person he was. Sophie frowned and nudged him, as the movemnet had shifted her from her comfy position.
She looked at the two that were left, "Jungkookie... Heem?"
At this Jin breaks out into laughter, "Yah, I might be old but you're a dog!"
The maknae just sits on the edge of the other bed, a blank expression on his face before he looks up to his noona. Sophie laughs, "You look at me like that, but see, you're doing exactly what he does in the movie. He just sits there and gives people looks."
This only makes the others laugh harder, making Jungkook look down in betrayal.
"Mianhae Jungkook-ah," Sophie apologized, laughing a little. She finally turned to the only member that was remaining, a slightly bored expression on his face.
"Suga-ssi..." She pondered, making him glance up to her, "I'm actually not sure."
"Which characters are left?" He asked, taking the movie from Jin to scrutinize the cover.
"There's those weird blob servants," Hoseok offered, laughing a little as he received a glare from the older man.
"Besides Howl, I don't think there's any other main characters," Jin agreed, looking at the contemplating girl.
"Turnip Head!" Sophie exclaimed suddenly, scaring some of the boys. "It's a perfect match!"
The sudden exclamation causes a riot to break out in between the band, each of them laughing extremely hard as they realized the resemblance between the two.
Min Suga just sits still, not moving for a moment before he rises up with indignation, "Why am I a vegetable??"
"Hyung," Taehyung laughs, putting an arm over Sophie, "It's actually very true."
"They even look alike," Jin says in between laughing.
"Look on the bright side, you're actually Prince Justin in disguise." Sophie points out, grinning as the man just shakes his head at her. "Or would you be a turnip prince?"
"This is childish," he shakes his head another time, "Let's just watch the movie."
The movie night started the Japanese leg of the tour on a nice touch, everyone, staff and idol, glad that they had one night to rest up for the insane schedule that spanned the fortnight they were there. With 5 concerts in 3 different cities, not including interviews, shows and fan meets, the band was going to be exhausted for most of the trip.
Sophie had changed places as they had pushed the two beds together for the movie, now sitting on the side with Namjoon on her right and Prince Turnip sitting on the edge of the bed to her left. They stayed silent for most of the movie, each of them entranced by the amazing graphics and beautiful story telling that made up most Studio Ghibli films. By the time that the Sophie onscreen sees the real form of the Witch of the Waste, most of the younger members had fallen asleep, Sophie herself feeling her eyelids starting to droop.
Namjoon and Jin were already movie buddies together, as they made up the middle with Hobi and the maknae line on the other side. The leader's back didn't seem that comfy to her so she shifted to face Suga.
"What are you doing?" He asked almost automatically, looking down at her.
"I'm sleepy," she replied, getting comfortable.
"Go back to your room then."
She snuggled into the blankets and the shared pillow between her and the older man, finally getting to a position that she could sleep in. "Aniyo, I'm comfortable now."
"Do you want to cause a scandal, Sophie-ssi?" He asks, exaggerating the syllables in her name.
"Not at all, Suga-ssi." She retorted, mimicking the way he had said her name. She looked up at him, "Or should I call you Turnip Head?"
He just made a noise and looked away from her, before turning back, "I'm a prince too."
"Araso, Prince Turnip."
They sat in silence for a moment, the movie coming to Yoongi's personal favorite part. When Howl changes the interior of the house to fit the new occupants. He nudged Sophie a little, wanting to talk to her about something that's been bothering him for a while now.
"Hey, Sophie."
