Chapter 1
"God.." Sophie groaned, dragging her workout bag into the tiny studio apartment she called home.
The yoga class she taught as a side job was usually super relaxing compared to her school schedule but today she had to deal with a mom of two preteens who thought that she was too hard on them. She even had the manager involved. The reason for this sudden outburst?
She had yelled at them for being on their phones during the stretching warm ups.
She groaned again, she was so tired with this life. From having a massive debt to going to college full time for a major not even remotely close to what she wanted to do to having to deal with things like this, she was done.
This wasn't the first time that she had felt this way. A month ago she had impulsively applied for an international internship, and miraculously had gotten it approved. All she had to do now was find something that she wanted to do and she would be transferred.
Finding something was the harder part of the process. Because of her major and impressive language skills most embassies and companies wanted her skills, but they were all boring jobs like translating and translating, and well, basically just translating.
After a quick shower, she grabbed a small snack and a cup of water before sitting down to her desk. She checked a couple of her social media pages and updated her few followers before she realized her email tab was blinking, indicating a new message.
Confused, she clicked on the tab and was surprised to see 12 new emails from her work agency each with the same heading:
Important: New work request (URGENT)
To Whom It May Concern,
We have reviewed Ms. Ryu's impressive resume and portfolio. Our CEO would like to extend an invitation to her to join our company in hopes that she is able to help grow our company and image. We have enclosed the job details and hope that she accepts our offer.
Sincerely,
Big Hit Entertainment
Sophie blinked, bewildered, what was an entertainment company doing that they wanted to hire her? The job description said that she was to aid in their foreign affairs but would be expected to help out in anything. She would be given housing and a small paycheck to pay for her daily expenses.
She frowned, the company was in Korea. She would have to brush up on her Hangul, but at the same time it was the best offer she had heard of for a while. Memories of the awful fight the mother put up and the dirty glares she received from the manager today came up in her mind again and with that she decided.
Today was the day. She, Sophie Ryu, was going to accept this job and move. Her parents didn't care, not since she had expressed that she wanted to change majors, and with the room being paid for all she had to figure out was how to get herself over there.
Smiling to herself, she wrote a quick email accepting the offer and thanking the company for the opportunity. This was it, this was her chance.

Where are all my ARMYs? I have given in and decided to start another fanfic about our living memes of a Kpop boy band. Sorry that this chapter was dry but I needed an explanatory chapter to introduce our protagonist here.
